He showed me tons of loose diamonds and I ended up picking out one that was 10% bigger and way higher quality, and $3-$5K less than I could find anywhere online. He showed me a .6 carat round brilliant that was better and more affordable than any other jewelry shop I visited. He was also able to get his jeweler to set it and size it promptly so that I could propose to my lovely fiancee in a timely manner. My experience with Diamond Brokers was not only fair, it was educational. Eric Bokor explained to me, in detail, what he was doing when he was valuating the silver I wanted to sell. He let me know where he was getting the figures he needed to come up with the cash value. He gave me the total cash value and asked me what I wanted out of that keeping in mind that they, too needed to be compensated. I gave him my figure and he added more to it and gave me a check! I felt he really wanted me to understand the process of getting a cash value and that made me feel safe and I know I got an educated and very fair price for my silver. After researching Diamonds for about 2 months, I can confidently say you will get more for your diamond From David and Yale than any other place in Nashville. I was also able to beat the rates given by NY on line companies as well. Before you sell your diamond though, educate yourself so that you know what your diamond is worth. You can expect about 45% - 55% of retail price on Diamond Karmas on line calculator and ultimately youll need to realize that your diamond is only worth what someone is willing to pay. Blue Nile is a good source for pricing your diamond and GIA is the ultimate authority or grading your diamond. Dont waste any money getting a gemologist to grade it, they tend to over inflate the value and youll eventually need a GIA grading. If you do that and your diamond is worth quite a bit, then get the GIA number inscribed.
