I love that store friendly and nices people work there in Naugatuck ct.

You never know what youre going to find in this place. There is some typical items but then again some pretty interesting Specialtys. One of those places just got to visit once in awhile

Well stocked shelves with a large selection of various goods. I noticed some unique items that I dont really see elsewhere. Store was clean and the staff was friendly. Id recommend this store for general shopping

I honestly dislike this place. Need nicer staff who isn’t so serious all the time or rude. Especially the men. The store is a mess and I find better stuff and better deals at walmart and dollar tree.

Simply put, you get what you pay for. Cheaper prices but cheaper quality.

It has gotten much better but it still needs a major over haul and cleaning. Just walking in it gives you the impression of disorganized chaos. It needs a major cleaning and merchandising reset. Reface the store and bring it into 2021. Then properly employee the store. The store is forever lacking employees to stock and at the registers. Last visit was much better but there is so much more that can be done. With the right marketing and store improvements this store could make a killing in this market where they only have one real competitor.

They close at 7pm which they need to change but other than that good prices and great selections.

Very large OSJL with lots of variety and things not found in smaller stores. Aisles well spaced, and store very well maintained. Friendly and helpful service.

This place has a lot of things for the house at a reduced price.

I ALWAYS find whatever we go inside looking for. And I love their comparative but not compromising prices.

This is a hit or miss store with very kind employees. We found a diamond in the rough for our son and anywhere else it would have been 3 times the price.

Its like any other Ocean State Job Lot. This one is very big and has a lot to offer. They have a very good art supply section and always have a great seasonal section.

At the moment in March that have a lot of gardening supplies like soil, mulch and fertilizer. The tools section isnt that great but for anything outdoor living like coolers, camping, beach, deck, patio; Ocean State in Naugatuck offers a good selection and the store is not crowded to shop in.

Often times I find good brand items for deep discounted prices. Also they have lots of garden products and spices.

A great outlet for Bobs Red Mill gluten-free flour especially One to One.

Like the Naugatuck location better than Seymour, a little cleaner and kept up better. In general I enjoy job lot for certain items.

Not overly impressed. Only one register taking debit/credit so the line was ridiculous. 3 of the items I needed werent in stock. People are definitely not following the one way aisle directions.

Nice store. Good food selection with many unique specialty items from tea to candy to protein bars. Nice rugs.

It was bigger than the one in Waterbury enjoyed shopping here.

Very disappointed. Went today around 10:30 am Saturday morning to shop and found they are closed until 12:00 Noon now for cleaning Isnt that what early morning or overnight shifts are for? Sorry but you just lost a regular customer, Im not going out after noon on a weekend to shop at your store,I always shop and get all of my weekend shopping done well before noon.In fact OSJL is usually my last stop as I sometimes spend a good 30-40 minutes shopping and picking up all manner of items, some I need some I just want when I find them at reasonable prices. As for the recommendation on the sign to shop at the Seymour location, no thanks, Im not driving 20 minutes away completely out of my way. I shop everything in Naugatuck due to the convenience of having so many shops located close together. If you had been doing this since the beginning of Covid, I might understand, but its been a year of business as usual and now you decide to inconvenience customers because you are too cheap to hire people to clean overnight or early morning hours. Get your house in order people. I saw others in the parking lot just as surprised as I was this same morning by this mess.

They have a huge selection of needed items. Low prices too.

I used to shop there regularly, but after 2 very difficult experiences with the rude front end supervisor last summer, I will no longer go there.

I don’t typically like these kinds of stores but since moving to Naugatuck I have come to like this Ocean State Job Lot. We visit it mostly for a few specific purchases. The bird feed prices in most cases simply can’t be beat. Suet blocks are half the price as other stores for the exact same product. Nyjer and Black Oil Sunflower seeds are also often on sale at unbeatable prices. The best buy in seed though is 10 pounds of shelled peanuts for $11. Prior to finding these we were buying 2 pounds at Costco for $5-$6. Of course the Costco peanuts were meant for human consumption but the birds and wildlife do not care. We also buy a lot of sauces, glazes and spices that we simply don’t see in other stores. We buy a lot of flower pots and solar lights because they are cheaper than anywhere else. They last just as long as the brands we buy elsewhere. It’s all the same import low quality so why not save some money. This store is also a great place for inexpensive area rugs, deck and lawn furniture etc. Is it the same quality as the stuff costing 5x to 10x more? Of course not but it’s affordable and the quality exceeds the cost. The store is a bit tired and dingy but that’s typical of stores like this. Most of the staff is friendly and helpful. Im glad this store is within minutes of my home.

As of 230pm on Sunday 5/24/20 they had sanitizing wipes in stock. I was able to purchase some and very grateful. The store was not very crowded, and the associates were helpful and friendly. Got in and out quickly.

Need to enlarge some inventory. Good pool supplies. Nice people.

Today, as I was going into the Naugatuck Ocean State Job Lot with my puppy in the carriage, I was told by, I think, the supervisor, that she was not allowed in the store. I have brought her to this store numerous times with no issues, all the workers love her. If dogs are not allowed in the store they should change the information on the web stating that dogs are allowed at OSJL. This will be my last visit to this store.

This store is charging 2 % to every item they sell so they can pay there employees more during the virus. I was never even told about it. I read the receipt after noticing every item was more then the price listed. The receipt says you can ask for a refund but don’t you think someone should ask you up front if you would like to donate and not just charge it and hope know one notices! I agree these employees deserve more to putting themselves out there but this company is making tons of money and we as customers are spending our money there which benefits the company. There should be the one paying not the customers who are supporting them! There are so many people out of work right now and ocean state is putting more of the burden on there customers. I send corporate a email and I’m posting this because I will never again shop at one of there stores. I will do my best to put the word out to as many places as I can about what there doing to there customers. Horrible in a time like this there charging us more.

This store is hit or miss. Sometimes you get exactly what you went there for and other times walk out empty handed.

I loved the store today. They have done an awesome job on fixing up the store and the selection and prices were great. I hadnt been in quite some time so I was very excited when I saw all the changes.

Best job lot Ive ever been to. Organized pretty well. Didnt give 5 stars cause how can you give job lot 5 stars. Nordstrom gets 5 stars. But maybe not cause their prices are too high. But there are no frills at job lot.

Loved store and inventory. Good prices. 1 problem is that no one is in store for customer service everyone was standing at service desk. 2nd problem was my EBT card and my brothers were declined even though they had available balances. I used card at next store with no problem. Its still one of my favorite places to shop. Prices are great.

The Naugatuck Ocean State Job Lot is a pretty standard store. Many discount items at reasonable prices. Brightly lit and very clean, you should have no problem finding what your discount loving heart desires. The only complaint I have is that the cashires seem to be limited, so if you checkout with a group of other shoppers, it may take a few extra minutes.

Found the bird seed I was looking for easily. And it was on sale !! Great place to find deals, you have to grab them when you see it or its gone . Good deals fun to find all the neat things you really can live without.

Interesting store. Fun to poke around and see what unique items you can find, or for bargains. The place kind of feels like a Chinese shipping container came in and they just unloaded and opened the boxes and left them there for customers to poke through.The line ups at check out can get really ridiculous.
