Very slow service, ran a credit card with the wrong billing address after telling them the proper address. Forklift drivers think they have the right of way on the public roadway, while operating them without the use of the seatbelts. No offer to help load the steel onto your trailer while looking at multiple people standing behind the counter and 2 forklifts sitting right next to the garage door.

Friendly, patient and knowledgeable staff, not to mention the only company that would do my small residential project.

As a DIY project person, I loved to be able to order from Speedy Metal in the morning and pick it up in the afternoon. Their prices are higher but they were quick. However now, I ordered over a week ago and waited for my confirmation. After 2 days, I called and the woman on the phone took an attitude that their wait time is now 4 business days and if you dont like it too bad they are just to busy to do anything about it. Well it is now 6 business days and nothing. The only thing speedy is how fast they charge your credit card. I guess I will be checking out Midwest Metals from now on.

They shipped half my order correctly; 25 days later and Im still waiting on the other half. No response from customer service.The project the material was ordered for has already been finished and shipped. I will use another supplier from now on.Update: Speed Metals offered to re-ship my order.

What a God awful experience from start to finish!Ordered 12 pieces of square tube at 2:03pm on Wednesday afternoon. By Friday morning I still hadnt received any word about my order, so I contacted customer service, who transferred me to sales. This was approximately 10:30am. The sales guy tells me he doesnt know why my fairly small order wasnt completed yet because the tube was in stock and the order was small. He said he would look into it and call me back.The sales guy never called me back. Instead, I got a phone call from someone else at 2:35pm stating that my order was ready for pick up. Mind you, I had told the sales guy previously that morning that I work 2nd shift. Since I was already at work, I could not pick up my order and had to wait until Monday to pick up the order, wasting the weekend.So, I went to Speedy Metals today to pick up my order and a rude guy asks me what I need. I state that Im there to pick up an order and gave him my name. He has me sign some paperwork and then grabs my order, slams it on the counter and walks away to the next customer, who had just walked in. I immediately noticed all the metal shavings and sharp edges and thought that the least he could have done was offer to put it in my truck.So, I take my order to my truck and get in. I had parked in front of the customer pick up door because it didnt say that I couldnt. It only said that I couldnt park in front of the overhead door. That same rude guy comes out the door with the next customers order and then proceeds to yell at me to move my truck because Im not allowed to park there.First off, Im clearly leaving so why even make a comment. Secondly, he could be nice and helpful to the next customer, but not to me? I never met this guy in my life and hes treating me as if I stole his girlfriend. The guy in question can be seen in the picture that I took from my dash cam.How this guy has a job is beyond me because he lacks all customer service skills. There was no need to be rude to me as I was never rude to him.Bottom line is that Ill never use nor recommend Speedy Metals to anyone ever again. I will also see if my company will be willing to change suppliers seeing as weve had issues having orders delivered on time and now this.

I did make an order for some DOM tubing which shipped not so expeditiously, and when it arrived was the wrong tube. I was pretty upset but Tara from their customer service team sent out the correct tube and even allowed me to add 6 more to my order with 2 day shipping so I can still get it in time to do my project. Mistakes happen, excellent customer service is what brings customers back. Thank you!

I thought I had ordered a piece of brass pipe, but received a piece of brass tubing instead. When I made contact with the company and explained what had happened, they took the tubing back and refunded my purchase price. They were even gracious enough to pay the return shipping.Wow! Cant say more fair than that..Ill use them next time and be more careful of what Im ordering.

I was told about Speedy Metals about three weeks ago and I have gone there twice for my metal needs. I read the reviews on this place and most of them were good and they are very well deserved. I am on crutches and they bent over backwards to help me. They are very nice and kind and the people there get you in and out fast. I am going there from now on and recommending them to all of my friends; they are GREAT!!!!!!!!

These guys have been our(SEI) material supplier for the past 5+ years. There have been a few understandable hiccups throughout that time, but theyve remedied every single one, from bent bar to a batch of questionable hardness.Special shout-out to Emilio, he always bends over backwards to provide great customer service. I remember back when material shortages where everywhere, he stayed late and sourced some material from a sister company instead of just letting me deal with a sudden two week wait on a delivery. Heard Speedy Metals ads on the radio. Stopped by and had the pieces I needed in less than 5 minutes. Super pricing and fantastic customer service. I highly recommend them for any metal needs.

One the first order, they forgot to ship one item and then took a while to reship it once they found lost item. Second time i noticed they charge a $5 packing fee plus a $17 USPS shipping charge on top of the $5. The hidden cost a 50% of the order. The shipping is marked way up.

These guys are pros. Speedy metals is local to me, so I stopped in for a couple small pieces of aluminum. They cut it while I waited in the lobby and had it done in less than 10 minutes.. Even though it was a very small order ($25), they treated me well. I will come back again for my next project.

I have placed several online orders over the last few years without the need to contact customer service. My last order could not be completed because I was not given a shipping option and I was stuck in the checkout process. I sent several messages to the chat system and emailed them over a two week period without a reply. Checked my junk mail daily. I did receive someone will reply confirmations and email reminders to complete my purchase. There also were 5% coupon codes sent to me that were invalid - already used error. Taking my business elsewhere as it looks like they no longer can provide a reliable service.

Took 7 days to get my order out. Still in transit. Holds us up on a project. Would not recommend.

Just ordered a sheet of 304 stainless steel cut to tolerances of .005 of an inch. I measured 5 times before I ordered online last night. Just picked it up today before lunch and it fits perfectly! I could not be happier with the price or the quality of cut. It is 12 gauge and has no blueing or bending what so ever. Great Job Guys!!!!

I have to recommend against speedy metals. The quality and service are the worst i have experienced in the last few years.I had an order for 1000 pieces of 3 inch stainless totaling 7000$.The order was late, several delivery dates weren’t kept. I never received any type of callbacks from my sales person even after leaving voice mails or being promised call backs.The order was short by 800$ worth of material.Of the delivered material >70% was cut crooked and way outside of tolerance.After a bunch of phone calls and driving there to talk to JJ face to face the remainder was delivered but once again not on the agreed upon date and didnt check the miscut pieces as agreed.Talking to Mike (Owner) they sent two people out to check the parts but it wasn’t worth their time. Instead they are recutting the parts and delivered 37 days late on a 3 day order.Mike is not interested in keeping customers as he has more than 10000 customers. Nor offering a real apology. He pointed out how he is making up for all the trouble, delays and damage by delivering the missing pieces as if that was a huge concession.Do yourself a favor, go with someone else. Saving a few hundred dollars is not worth the hours spent trying to get them to deliver or fix an order. If you do still want to give them a try ask for anyone but JJ.

Ordered 2 - 14 1 x 2 tubes and 2 - 18 1 x 2 tubes. They showed but the order was in inches and very expensive you can imagine. Who in the world sells metal by the inch and not by the foot. Place sucks.
