Jim sold us a 3 piece set in 40 minutes. He was kind and threw in free delivery. The delivery guys were great. My entire experience from start to finish was pleasant. The guys in the back of the warehouse that helped me put the chair into my car (couldn’t be delivered with my couches because it was back ordered) to the girls in the front, they were all terrific. I’ll never go to Ashley Furniture again.

John is amazing! Very friendly, kind, professional and not pushy at all! He allowed me to look around the store without hassling me. When I was ready I found him and he made sure I was able to get what I wanted and more! He explained all the terms and conditions thoroughly! If you ever go to this location ask for John!

John Hobbs & Furniture Fair of New Bern are AMAZING!!After having a horrible experience with Ashleys Furniture I decided to see what Furniture Fair had to offer. When we walked in John Hobbs introduced himself, gave us some info and let us be; checking on us once in a while (which I truly appreciated.) He answered all my questions honestly and was not pushy. I left with a new living room and bedroom set on order. He checked in with me numerous times to keep me updated on my delivery and insured that my order was delivered to my liking.Furniture Fair customer service is also great! One item arrived flawed so they had a new one delivered to me in 2 days! This company truly knows how to make sure their customer is happy!

We came in months ago and had no clue what we wanted. John did an awesome job helping us make a decision on what would look good and be comfortable and practical with 3 kids and a dog. He worked with us on price and kept us within our budget. We recently came back wanting a recliner that was discontinued and John found it!

Worst customer service I have ever had buying anything. Our furniture was late coming in and the store manager wanted to give us the floor model without offering a discount. I have never heard of any company selling the floor model without at least a 10% discount. We declined the floor models and waited for the shipment to come in. When it finally arrived it was a holiday weekend and the delivery drivers didnt even let us know they were on the way or that they were at the door. We were in the back yard the whole time. We wasted a whole day to be told it would be dived on Monday and wasted a another day because nobody could figure out how to get it on a truck and to us in the morning we had to wait until evening which we were told that at 2pm. This company has no idea what they are doing when it comes to customer service and delivering their merchandise. My husband and I will NEVER shop their again.

Went to furniture fair to look for some new couches. We were greeted right away but not with a hello or anything but with a “DO YOU HAVE YOUR MASKS”. I understand the precautions being taken because of the virus but we had masks on us we just did not want to wear one considering it was extremely hot out and again we only wear one if we have to. OUR RIGHTS. Now if we had to then we would have worn one but do not sit there and greet us with a “do you have your masks” and then when my husband says no (meaning he didn’t want to wear one) which is his right. The salesman Jim goes “that’s fine just stay away from me”. Like okay? Unnecessary but we ignored. We browsed around and found a couch and love seat we really liked so my husband went to search for Jim and my husband greeted him by calling him “bud” considering the fact that he never gave us his name because his greet was not like it should be when someone walks into a store. Jim the salesman then goes rudely “what did you call me” “what was that” and my husband said “I called you bud I was trying to get your attention”. Jim says rudely “not your bud, name is Jim”. Which really made my husband mad because he didn’t mean anything by it and once again he was being rude. Not sure if we was rude due to the fact that we weren’t wearing masks which again is our right or if he just was having a bad day... not sure. We had another lady help us which I don’t remember her name but she was awesome. She was helpful, friendly and all above very pleasant to work with. We will come back if need be but management should really talk To their salesman Jim and tell him to be a little more friendly and not so rude to people. Bud is just a friendly term my husband uses it didn’t mean anything but the fact that he was rude to my husband for it... almost made us want to leave. In fact if we didn’t like the couches so much we would have left immediately.

We had a wonderful experience with Jodi at Furniture Fair a week ago. We went in looking for a new couch for our home and Jodi showed us just what we were looking for. She gave us the much needed time to decide and she answered all our questions. If she didn’t know the answer at that time, she made sure to find the answer for us. I will be going back to furniture fair and working with Jodi again. I had not purchased from them before but since, I have shared our positive experience on my personal Facebook page. Jodi is a gem and a natural at this!

I went to furniture fair looking for a couch and love seat and John Hobbs was able to find me the perfect set, he was very knowledgeable about everything. On 1/1/20 I went to Furniture Fair looking a twin bed for my great grandson to sleep on when he is at my house. Mr. John Hobbs help me with just what I ask for. When it was delivered & used, I noticed that I need wheels & that it was to high for a child. I contacted John by phone texted & he was out with a kidney stone but that didnt stop him from getting me what I need! He got in touch with an employee at the store & I went in to the person he told me to see. The employee got me the rollers that were supposed to be with the bed, plus John told me to ask him to show me a bed board! I now have just what I needed & it works great !!! I would recommend John Hobbs to anyone for the Awesome Customer Services even when he was sick!!!He went above & beyond any sales representative I have ever dealt with for furniture. My main concern was fitting the ottoman in my tiny transportation. Mr. Hobbs told me the width was 38 inches. My cars hatchback is 38.5 inches wide. He assured me it would work. I had my doubts. He assuaged my fear. Bingpot! All is well, and my wife is happy with her feet up. I will only contact John for future furniture needs.

Luckily, in just a few short questions, he was able to evaluate my needs in regards to price range and style we wanted . As we walked, he was letting me know about the support of each piece and cons of others depending on type and brand. He helped me pick out the best king size bed with all my needs met including sturdy wood, drawers underneath & stylish. Two words... JOHN HOBBS! I walked in while on a lunch break from work just to look around and John greeted me immediately. I told him I was just looking around and he made some small talk and walked around with me telling me about some of the awesome deals going on. I walked in with no intentions of actually purchasing, just to check the place out and I walked out with a brand new bed which I didnt even realize I desperately needed since my current bed is 3 years old and im pregnant. He took the time to really talk to me and personalize my experience. I will never go to another place to get furniture. Highly recommended.

It’s all started when I would drive through DD and he would write small comments on coffee cup. Which seemed like my bad days he would bring me a smile. This is were I got to meet the incredible John Hobbs. Later down the road I needed furniture so I decided to check out FF. Walked in and was greeted by Mr. Hobbs! Help me found a sectional that fit perfectly in my home and I still love it to this day. Gave me his input on each one I looked at! My heart sold to this one and he helped me! Not only did I have great laughs I had great a service. I needed furniture again a couple months later and I walked in and went straight to John and I like hey I need a bed? Well he directed be to some bed that would best fit me... he was totally right I called out of work the day I got my new bed!! Well seemed like a long process he as well helped me pick a bed frame and few other pieces. Told him how my room would be set up and the colors and he point me in the right direction. I still LOVE my bed!! He is an incredible person and will help you find something in your price rang and will tell you or not if it’s a piece of shit or good quality! I highly highly suggest you go to him. Not for the ride of your lifetime trust me you will have about died with laugher from him but for really helping you as a person!!!!! Such a GREAT person and deserves a BIG raise!

Bought a riding mower from them and purchased a warranty with it. Went to use the warranty and they denied the claim. Do not purchase any warranty from them it’s a total scam. They did take off the cost of the warranty after the fact. I guess if you never have a claim they make tons of money from people by giving them false hopes.

Ask for John!!!We went into Furniture Fair looking for a day bed for our spare room because we had a family member coming to stay with us within the week. John Hobbs did an excellent job helping us get what we needed and more! He helped us weigh the pros and cons of a day bed verse a sofa bed (which I was considering as an option) and made sure we got everything we needed in time for company to arrive!At some point in the very beginning of our time there, my husband mentioned he sleeps hot like a furnace. Later, when showing us the mattress options for the twin, he decided to show us the Silver Chill by Sealy... CHANGED OUR LIVES!!! He went above and beyond the call for a spare bed and completely changed the way we wake up every day! Cant believe we went in on a limb one rainy Wednesday afternoon.12/10 Would recommend.

I purchased a mattress/ boxspring from John about two months ago and he was amazing! He started by handling my mother questions over the phone. I then met him in the store where he showed me how to appropriately select the correct mattress and comfort level. He was super easy to work with.In the end I didnt actually need a boxspring and he again helped me get a full refund for the boxspring that had already been picked up and taken home.Thank you John you have to be the best employee at Furniture Fair!

I went to Furniture Fair in New Bern in search of replacement furniture after Hurricane Florence. I knew John Hobbs from his previous job and knew I could depend on him to help. He has been wonderful to work with. He has been patient and answered every single question I have asked. The furniture I selected had to be ordered and I have been unable to take delivery of it yet. He has called to follow up and just generally check in. He has never made me feel that I have been an inconvenience and he always asks about my well being. You wont go wrong with John.

All they sell is furniture and they dont have free delivery? That is price gouging. Charging $100 extra for a $500 sofa.

Great atmosphere with excellent customer service, our salesman was John Hobbs and I highly recommend him. He was straight to the point for what would be the best deal for what we wanted and he made the entire process a breeze!

Waited 2wks for my furniture, took my room apart, had little sleep because I worked overnite. Delivery came late, parts of the bed were missing, dresser was trashed, NO ONE AT WAREHOUSE OR STORE WILL ANSWER THE PHONES AFTER 5pm. UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE. I have to go to floor now. I will am not paying for this mess and they can keep the furniture.UPDATE: 7/20/19After posting this review a store employee called the next day. They asked if we wanted the furniture delivered or to give it back. We said if they get it right we want it. Long story short we got our furniture the next day. Thanks for fixing it quickly. But that store manager is a mess. I will not use this store when I refurnish my sons room.

New Bern sales staff and manager were wonderful--unlike the delivery guys. Bringing our new furniture, purchased in New Bern, brought here from Jacksonville store by 2 guys who arrived without the tool to assemble, busted two bolts with the rachet and then left with a very unprofessional attitude. I will provide you with the name of the delivery person who is not worthy to enter your home and handle your investment.Redelivery expected today with replacement bolts to assemble my daughters bunk bed.Nothing except he said-she said information given by the delivery people. ALL INTERACTIONS WERE MADE BY ME. NO ONE PHONED ME TO INQUIRE ABOUT MY SERVICE.My advice: know whos coming, AHEAD, to your home and have a witness. Stay connected with the management of the furniture store. My hard earned money paid for terrible assembly ahead if time. Not good.

I bought $2400 worth of furniture. I received part in 2 weeks. My pub set took a month to get after the manager worked his magic. When it got here a corner was smashed. Now I am at their mercy for a replacement. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE! Learn from my mistake.

My washer and dryer cut out on me one day, so I decided to go to furniture fair and look around. I was greeted by a guy named John, unmistakable due to his spikey hair, and told him what I was looking for. We looked at a few models and I was impressed by Johns ability to answer all of my questions. I went a little more in depth into what I was looking for, aesthetically and functionally, and we landed on a beautiful charcoal grey front loading Samsung washer and dryer. John knows what youre looking for even if you dont. Hes that good. Will definitely be back to Furniture Fair just for him.

My wife and have purchased ALL of our furniture for FF of New Bern. We new each sale person by name, and Mrs Barbra in the office is such a delight. However, things have changed at FF of New Bern. service after the sale is abhorrent. Our last three furniture purchases have gone to another company. I have been waiting for a month and a half for a mattress, thats still under warranty, to be replaced. I have called and walked into the store with no answers. Finally the mattress came in, and I had to keep calling to find out when it would be delivered. I went in the store on June 18th 2018 and was told that the mattress would finally be in on Friday June 22, 2018. I waited a week to get a call, and nothing. I went back in on the 29th of June, and Chip came out, apologized for the delay and stated, I hate to do this, but with this being the end of the month wed like to get new business delivered first. After I have waited I have been informed that I, nor my back, is as important as new business. He said he could have it delivered Monday. I took off work, not solely for that but it did affect my decision to take off, only to get a call Monday that it could not be delivered. After a short back and forth, Chip called me back an hour later stating that it would be delivered by 6pm. In the past, the young women who worked the window were just plain rude and dismissive. My bill with FF has been paid off for over a year now, but I will no longer give my money for this type of service. Two sets of washers and dryers, bedroom suits, living room suits, flat screen TVs, surround sound, all from FF, but no more. Its been a nice run, but I want good product and good service for the duration of the products life.FOLLOW-UP - Replacement Mattress Delivered.....Will be going to Badcock or another store first thing in the morning.

They told me they dont guarantee that shipping time and say I just have to wait. Their website says they believe you should go above and beyond for your customers, but that is a lie!
