Such a great experience. We’ve been needing regular vision care for a long time and have never felt better about an office before. The doc took time to explain everything and make my son feel very comfortable. The receptionist was super nice and very helpful. Dr. Page went out of his way to help us get into an emergency pair of glasses because my son broke his, but can’t see without them. I will definitely be using this office for all of my family’s optical needs.

I have lived in many states and been to many eye Drs, Dr. Page and this practice is hands down the best! Madison was an absolute delight and got me scheduled with a Saturday appointment the same week I called. Dr. Page was the perfect mixture of friendly and conversational while being informative and down to earth. No talking over your head, he explained things in simple terms and answered all my questions. And never once did he or Madison make me feel bad for still wearing my glasses with a prescription that was from the past decade. 😆 They helped me find a contact brand that fits much better than my previous one and best of all, I can see better!I cannot gush enough about Local Eyes. Stop going to the big box stores for your eye care and come to a Doctor that actually cares about your eyes!

I can’t say enough good things! Madison was friendly and helpful, and Dr. Page was wonderful! I have a family history of glaucoma, but no other doctor has taken the time to go over my personal eye exam results to show me areas to watch and what they mean. I appreciate that he took the time to not only make sure I understand my own eye health, but also to get to know a bit about me beyond that. I haven’t had this kind of customer service and patient care since my childhood optometrist. I always prefer to support local small businesses, and being a patient here is a total no-brainer for me and my family.

This was my first time ever going to an Optometrist and it was a wonderful experience. The upfront administrator was extremely kind and welcoming, and made the new patient process a breeze.My eye exam was done with Dr. Marcus Page who was phenomenal. He actually took the time to listen to you and understand his patient. You can tell that he genuinely cares about his patients and at the end of the day thats what you want.The office was extremely clean, the music was awesome, and again the staff was just amazing. Defiently worth checking out and making them your primary eye spot.

I will be going back for my yearly check up. Glasses are from unique, individual companies (which I loved). Cant say enough wonderful things about this place!!!

I had an eye exam and the optional retina test. I was very appreciative of the extra time given to me to be sure my prescription and fitting were right. I was given suggestions for lenses and extras that I could pick that would be within my preferred budget.

Oh my wow! where to start?after a year saving for going to the optometrist & the purchase of a -very needed- new set of eyeglasses i chose local eyes optometry for mainly two reasons: they are the only ones carrying see2sea eyeglasses, an european brand that focuses on taking out plastic from the oceans to use it for the frames. AND, two, even though there were some immediate savings to get the lenses at costco -yeahyeah- what made THE decision was... Madison!their customer service is fire! madison makes one feel welcomed and cared for. they have been open for a bit more than a year now----imagine the challenges of opening a business in wonderful covid2020. But they are making it and i hope they keep growing!but you are here for the review so lets continue:they offer payment plans!! i cannot afford insurance so i heavily appreciate that this investment can be divided -if you barely see, as i do, you know that the prescription with the uv+blue light+all you can get protection does sums up the bill- so being able to pay one part and the next ones later, makes it possible to make a sustainable buyer decision EASY PEASY!summary:they offer payment plans, you can get the exam there too, they have environment conscious frames (!!!!!!) AND they just happen to be 34min away from san antonio.after 2.5 weeks i am wearing my lovely see2sea and i can not be more absolutely joyful ---yes, 2.5 weeks but remember, i barely see! so i am used to waiting for my new glasses, what am i gonna do? 🤷🏾‍♀️is a local shop focusing on bringing opportunies for people to have access to environment conscious options and i hope they succed.thank you, Madison for your insights and making this a wonderful experience. I have not seen this type of personal care from an optometrist (many) years. Reminds me of when I was younger and my whole family had the same family practitioner, dentist and eye doctor! Dr. Page was beyond amazing and wonderful. He took his time to explain everything, asked questions and was genuinely interested in your concerns. I came to Local Eyes way into COVID and was suuuper thankful to be seen quickly & efficiently. I have mold illness & am immunocompromised so I really needed someone to look at my eyes for any damage done by my condition. Dr. Page was very knowledgable because of working w/other patients w/similar ailments & his past experience with surgery. He did a thorough check in my eyes to see that I had no scar tissue👏🏽👏🏽 I’m forgetting the assistant’s name, but she was super helpful on helping pick frames & lense add-ons w/what my insurance would cover. Overall, Local Eyes was very ACCOMMODATING, knowledgable, & friendly. I’ll be back soon for extra glasses.

My husband and I have totally different insurance plans, and they made that easy, too.Additionally, they have a great selection of frames that you will never see at a big box place, and there was absolutely zero sales pressure of any kind. Just an awesome experience. Ultimately, my husband was so impressed with the selection, he chose two pairs of frames! I picked an amazing pair of frames, too.(with very patient help from Madison, thank you so much!)I had such a positive experience, I went back in about a week later to have a fitting for contacts. I have never worn contacts or glasses, and they made it all super easy. I even got a 10% discount on my (spendy) multi focal contacts when I ordered a one year supply. Coupled with the rebates available, it met or beat every so called discount price online, as well as Sams. (TBH, I would have ordered the contacts from them, even if it had been more expensive. The service is worth it, and if we dont support great local businesses, well lose them!)Whatever your experience in the past, or if youre new to glasses and contacts, give Dr. Page and his staff a chance to show you what you can SEE ;-) when professional meets personable, and practical! Most thorough personal exam i have ever had.

I cant begin to thank Madison and Dr. Page enough for their help. I came down from Austin for Moscot frames because Local Eyes is in my insurance network. After some difficulties with my insurance provider, Madison and Dr. Page checked with me to see if Id be willing to have another lab make my lenses with a few upgrades at no additional charge to me. Madison was extremely helpful and incredibly quick to communicate with me via phone and email. During the initial visit, I was considering turning my old pair of Moscots into sunglasses. Madison suggested that we get measurements just in case... smart! I had such a great first impression from the staff that I ordered the Rx sunglasses lenses a week later. Madison made sure everything was packaged perfectly and a few weeks later (COVID slows everything down), my new glasses and my Rx sunglasses lenses were at my doorstep in Austin. I could not have asked for a better or more personalized experience.
