Great inventory of used and new appliances, all at very good prices. Went yesterday to purchase a used refrigerator and ended up leaving with a new one as the price was so good. The young ladies working were friendly and knowledgable, and one of their male counterparts helped us load the refrigerator in our SUV. Win-Win!

Purchased a used washer and refrigerator. I did not plug in refrig. since I was getting the kitchen redone. my 30days expired and refrig. has a leak coming from the freezer, a waste of $300. the$250 washer still works very well

I went to DE Used Furniture Outlet to buy a top loading stacked washer and dryer to replace my old broken one. There was a non-obvious problem with the one I bought and it didnt work. Bill was amazing and did all he could to make it right. He offered options to order new parts to repair the unit, order me a brand new one of the same model for not much more money, or give me a refund. I went to the store to get a refund and saw he had gotten some very nice front loaders in the store. I found a brand new front loader, stackable I liked but it cost a lot more than my refund would cover and I didnt want to spend a lot more money. Bill gave me a great deal on a brand new front loader and delivered it the next day. He is great to work with, honest, and willing to work with you as long as its reasonable.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. The second hand appliances here are GARBAGE. We purchased a washer less then three months ago and Bill (the owner) suggested we buy another washer (half off) and pay for delivery (again). So I already spent 300$, why not spend another 200$ lol? This business is garbage the items are garbage and the staff is most certainly garbage STAY AWAY SAVE YOUR MONEY BUY NEW.

My mom bought a washer and dryer set from there, an older set, apartment size. It only lasted a few months. The dryer had a serious knock to it and the washer just stopped working. She bought the set for $450. Luckily I had a set here that I only had paid $120 and that set still works, bought it off of a private owner. Had to give her that cause she was out of a set. Now if that didnt piss me off. The delivery driver did. Younger adult male, while moving the washer and dryer set into my moms home, he asked them where they would like it. My dad told him in the kitchen since thats where the hook ups are. He brought it into the living room, and set both appliances down right there. Told my dad who has heart problems mind you. He wasnt going any further. Told them to move it there himself. So my dad not wanting to argue, agreed. So then my Dad asked him before the guy took off out the door, if he could please remove the hose from it, since I had bought them a new set of hoses. Since when we had looked at them in the store they needed to be replaced. Instead of the guy just unscrewing it off the back of the washer, he took his knife out and just cut it off. Talk about freakin rife. Although in my case buying an A.C. from them wasnt all that bad. That A.C lasted a good two years. Before I gave it to my mom. However in how my mom was done so wrong. They rate a 1 in my book.

Refrigerator only lasted 5 days. Lost $100 worth of food. Had to go back 5 times for my refund because they promised the money each time and never had it. Wouldnt even buy a hose from them. Dont know how theyre still in business. Wouldnt even give 1 star

Love the prices, love the staff who works there! I had a great experience. I got a nice sofa and love seat recliner set at a real good price and a large projection tv. I live in Marcus Hook, Pa and I traveled to both locations and it was well worth the drive. I had a slight problem with the projection tv but when I called and told them about it, they quickly responded and came back to my home with another one and worked perfect! Something about this place has changed. About 5 years ago we purchased many items from this store. None of it was damaged, it was priced fairly and the man that ran it was very nice and would always be willing to negotiate prices within reason. He even gave us one piece for free if we bought the five items we were looking at. In the last fews years this place has PLUMMETED. I dont know if it is under new management or what but it really saddens me. Their inventory is extremely damaged and the prices are outrageous. The quality went WAY down but the prices went way up. The workers are no longer friendly and the woman that works there is actually rude. They do not answer emails and if you make offers on their Ebay store their replies are unbelievable rude and condescending. Their attitude is like they are doing you a favor selling you their scratched and ruined furniture. We will never step foot in this place again. As you can see from all of these other reviews, everyone is experiencing the same thing. There are other used furniture stores in Delaware with furniture that looks practically new and is half the cost these guys would sell it to you for......dont waste your time or money here. I know their Newport store closed and if things stay this way Im sure the other two will follow suit.

Beware of patched up appliances scam. We went to their New Castle location, we found the fridge we wanted but down in their Smyrna location, so fine we drove down to Smyrna. We bought a whirlpool refrigerator from them in October 2016 and it didnt even last a year. Now April 2017, fridge suddenly not cooling, called a repair guy and told me problem with compressor had been long standing, it had simply been super charged with coolant to last for a few months! Repair cost would be more than refrigerator worth - at least the repair guy was honest, which I cant say about Delaware Used Furniture Outlet. They have a 30 day return policy so I am not even going to bother calling these clowns. Ha! Yall got me. Fool me once, shame on me. But there will be no fooling me twice, I will never buy anything from this place again. Learned my lesson....

I wish I would have read the reviews before going here. Most of their stuff looks like it was picked up out of the trash, but I figured as long as it works. I purchased a washer and dryer, and had it delivered. 1st of all, the delivery men scratched my floor. Then they didnt even clamp the dryer hose. The dryer made a horrible knocking sound. Within 10 minutes of them putting it in I seen a roach crawl from the top of the dryer. I went the very next day as soon as they opened and the female associate called the manager. He said they could pick it up the following day. She said if I was really worried about it I could buy some bug spray and put them outside myself. 4 days after the original purchase I went to get my money back. The manager refused to refund the delivery fee and was very rude. I am currently in the process of filing a complaint against this disaster of a business.

Went in to look at a bed set that I had seen online. Went to the counter ask about specifics for it which was fine. Then asked if there was any way they could knock a little off the price ($50 mind you) at which point the female salesperson became very indignant and rude. This is a USED furniture outlet, not Johnny Janosiks lady. I didnt ask for anything unreasonable or outlandish like half off or anything like that. Anyways will not go back even though I am also in the market for a new couch. Stay away.

I was unable to find what I was looking for and I was strong armed into buying something that I didnt want in the first place.Felt like I was at a used car dealership with the swindling that came from the staff. I dropped off the used equipment I purchased and never looked back.Prices are ridiculously high for spotty appliances.Ill kick you in nuts and save you the trip if you would like?

I have to admit, I do not post a lot of reviews. However from my first impression through delivery and use of the appliances, our experience with DE used furniture outlet has been very good. They delivered when they said they would and installed the appliances as I had requested. We are doing a whole house renovation and purchased a much needed washer & dryer. I had surfed Craigs a lot. DE Used prices were comparable, plus the small warranty they offer if you get delivery was attractive. For us, a dryer that vented from the bottom was optimal...... strange I know. DE Used had a one year old Maytag Maxmia washer and a slightly older Kenmore dryer that vented from the bottom. I thought .... things are going well. I purchased the delivery option because it included a 30 day warranty on the appliances. We have done 5 loads of wash, the spin cycle is so good on the Maytag they come out almost dry! We have done 2 dryer loads. All has gone well. I choose the fast dry setting for one load - everything came out dry! That never happened with the Samsungs I purchased new from Sears ..... after 40 minutes the clothes still werent dry! So, I have read the other reviews. I have to say I recommend DE Used as a source for appliances. They had a nice amount of inventory in New Castle & I also noticed they had some new appliances as well. Thank you DE Used for a great first experience!

This owner Bill is A Crook. Me and My family have recently moved to Delaware and wanted support the Local Businesses as much as we could. So we brought a refrigerator from this Store. It was broken the only good thing I can say is the Owner came out and tried to fix it. Like he didnt know it was broken already. I asked for a return of my money. He offered to replace the refrigerator so I accepted. Unfortunately for me the 2nd refrigerator was not only cheaper and more banged up then first one but it also was broken. Long story short he refuses to pay me my money back and to come pick this broken refrigerator up. Needless to say I have reported him to the BBB and Hired a lawyer to Sue him. And yes I still have a broken refrigerator in my house and I have to purchase a new refrigerator from a respectable company know. Disrespectful Company please run away from this place before you get burned. Also you know he probly sell that other broken refrigerator and double is money on broken equipment he is selling. I get the feeling this is not hardly the first time he has done this.

Beware of the major appliance scam job. Purchased a washer and dryer and during the first run neither worked. Tried to contact Bill and Amy and got the run around, they would not honor the 30 day warranty. The price might draw you in but it was a huge waste of money and time.

Bought a small table and when i brought it home it fell apart. Way over priced for crap. Service is horrible and rude. Havent been back since and advise you to do the same. If you want to support local businesses try sisters bargain cleanouts or goodeals.

I get it, its a used furniture store. Its definitely overpriced, but I said ok because I am pressed for time. I bought a few pieces and paid for delivery. I specifically asked for an after 3 pick up time, and the came at 11 am. After I explained to the delivery man that my delivery time is supposed to be for after 3 he instantly got upset and said well I dont know when well be back and hung up on me. Then they bring the furniture in, and throw it in the hallway and leave thete. Now Im at work, cant organizer every thing. Next day i try to move a dresser out of the hall into the bedroom and the whole dresseer fell apart. Im upset, they say once its delivered theres nothing they can do, Im just out 100$

Bought a dryer and the same day stop working, called the next day (not even 24 hours) and the lady told me because you hauled it, it doesnt have warranty, but we will see what we can do, Ill call you in the next 2 days if there is something that can be done $200 was the dryers price!!! I purchased a black tall chest and matching night stand from a lady in Hagerstown Md. made by Vaughn Bassett for $175, both of which were in great condition except 2 of the drawer slides were broken. I ordered the plastic pieces and replaced them and then the drawers were like new. I thought I would be able purchase a long dresser to match but found out they were discontinued 8 years ago. I thought maybe I could get another black dresser and swap the hardware to match the two pieces I already had however I couldnt even purchase the hardware after much internet research and effort. I kept searching for black dressers and one night a Craigslist ad had a picture of the exact long dresser I had been searching for. It was at this establishment in New Castle, De. I called them and got a women named Ethel. I asked her the condition of the dresser since the pics were out of focus. She told me the top had some marks that might be able to be cleaned off but after more examination felt they might not come off. I asked her the condition of the drawer slides knowing they are a problem area. She said they were fine, no problem. They were asking $200 and I offered her $150 based on the condition she provided over the phone. It was a 3 hour drive from my house however I felt I might never see another dresser that was the perfect match for the ones I previously purchased. After much persuasion she agreed to the $150 and took my credit card info. I made the long trip 2 days later and when I got there and saw the dresser it looked like it had went through WWII. The top had 20 or so circle marks which she had told me about, however the top was cracked the entire length of the dresser where the manufacturer had spliced the top. I checked the drawers and 7 of the drawers had broken slides and several had missing pieces to the slide. I showed Ethel the problems and she told me the drawers were just off the slides. I explained to her they were off the slides because they were broken and I removed a drawer to show her. There happened to be lots of envelopes and papers behind the drawer and she quickly grabbed the papers probably thinking there could be money in the envelopes. Then she walked away without addressing the condition of the drawers muttering to me that I need to sign the pickup receipt. When you pulled the drawers out they basically fell about 45 degrees. I then followed her over to the office area and asked that she take another $25 off the price. She said she couldnt because it was already charged to my card. I told her that she didnt tell me about the crack in the top that a blind person could see and also that she told me the drawers were all good. She said she didnt see the crack and that I never asked her about the drawers. She also said she could have sold it for full price the day after I bought it and then asked me in a very rude tone Do you want it or not? She knew she had me since I traveled all that distance and needed it to complete my set for my daughter. I said yes, signed the paper and walked out. The workers brought out the dresser on its end on a bag wagon with 75% of the drawers falling out. Fortunately for me I can fix the drawers myself and repair and refinish the top. This company is not about the customers, and Ethel can call you sweetie and honey on the phone till the cows come home but she is a dishonest and very rude person who shouldnt be in charge of anything more than a yard sale.
