Best food and service ever…. Would give 10 stars if I could. Our waiter Andrew was accommodating and truly amazing. Then I met the owner Julio, what a great person. Thanked us for our business and said he tries to provide a great menu, which he does. All the food was great, especially the fried zucchini flowers! Thank You for making our daughters birthday so special! We will definitely be back.

Went here while on vaca. I got the Cotoletta alla Milanese - very good non-pasta option! The chicken was delicious. This was a great dish I would get again and the restaurant was really nicely decorated as well.

Went here for a date and was pleasantly surprised by the spacious open air dining area in the back. The wait staff were very attentive and the food came out very quickly.Ordered the tagliatelle alla bolognese and the cotoletta alla milanese.The Bolognese was a nice portion and quite hardy. The Cotoletta alla milanese was a massive dish that nearly had me beat. Absolutely delicious but a very big meal. I left very full!Overall great experience!

Our server, Tony was courteous and easy to explain the dishes. The oil and balsamic vinegar dip for the bread was delicious to start. My meal was amazing and the wine was perfect. Everything was magnificent! Will definitely be returning.

Had the octopus salad, paccheri alla Siciliana, Pappardelle con Aragosta. Food was good, sauce was overwhelming that you cant taste the pasta. Overall good taste but not great. Very expensive for the taste and quality. Excellent staff.

Today we had the pleasure of dinning at Pasta Eataliana on Wooster St, New Haven. The original Tony and Lucilles, the little corner restaurant, has taken on a new look, inside and out. The al fresco dinning area in the rear of the restaurant takes you away for all the troubles of the day.Our server Salvatore was a pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable person.The food was excellent, prepared with special attention to quality and presentation.

This place was great! my boyfriend and i went for date night and had the best experience. first, the drinks were AMAZING. i had the peach bellini and he had the “nona’s garden”. our appetizers were amazing and so were the main courses. the chef fulfilled my cheese request and i couldn’t have been happier😂 we even got rained on and the staff did everything to get us inside quickly which was very appreciated. everyone was super kind and the prices are great. i would recommend to anyone!

I must admit, Eataliana was not our first choice for dinner on this early Saturday night! My girlfriend and I were just passing through Connecticut and were planning to stop at Sallys or Frank + Pepes pizza joints due to all the rave brought on by Dave Portnoy. However because waits for these places were EXTREMELY long, we decided to walk-in to Eataliana, and boy are we glad we did! We walked in at about 5:45 PM and the place was empty! That didnt last long though as locals poured in right at the stroke of 6 PM, and I understand why! Service was great, food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was really neat. No complaints at all. We ordered the pasta carbonara and a specialty pizza (I forget the name) with prosciutto on top! I was very much impressed by everything and would absolutely return when I am in the area.

Ive never before had the issue of multiple favorite restaurants (let alone on one street) but now I do. We went for lunch today and wow. The ambiance is amazing, Marios service was phenomenal, and the food. Holy shitake the food. Words cant describe how absolutely amazing every single course was. And the presentation was exquisite to boot.

Afternoon visit... what a delight. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu. Our group of 5 was served in a very attentive and timely manner. The food was delicious and plentiful. Prices matched the quality and quantity. The decor was crisp and fresh. The ambiance out front could easily compare to any beautiful Italian neighborhood anywhere in the country.

Pasta EATaliana is a fantastic lunch spot! The food is flavorful, and the portion sizes are generous. We ordered the Cerasiello pizza and NY Style calamari and both were absolutely delicious. Well definitely be coming back the next time were in town!

Cant say enough good things about this place. Had a reservation for 8 Saturday. Place was jammed and our table wasnt ready. Staff and owner were very sympathetic and offered us a drink outside while we waited. Restaurant was VERY busy and apps and dinners were still flying out to all the tables around us. Everything that arrived are our table was excellent as usual. The kitchen didnt miss a beat despite being slammed.From the owners to the help I can honestly say the treatment and food is second to none. They care and want to make your experience perfect in every way.We cant wait to get back and continue to eat our way through the menu!

Beautifully renovated! Service was kind…not as attentive as I’d like but kind is what’s more important!Cuisine was quality & extremely satisfying. The broccoli rabe was the most delicate I’ve encountered & the mushrooms to die for. The oil/balsamic & bread melted in our mouth.It rained when we came so we were delighted to get seats inside but that turned out to be the downside. The high ceiling & narrow shape made the 35 patrons echo and evolve into the hundreds. That part was very unpleasant & unfortunately cut our stay short.We would love to know if & when they will install sound absorbers.Please post on social media if you are tending to the sound issue, we’d love to try you again after that.But again, the food was impressive & that limoncello!!! I haven’t tasted that authentic of a limoncello in 25 years!We hope to hear of sound improvements & come back 🌹

The atmosphere was really nice here, but unfortunately we didnt have a great experience with the food or service. The slow service seemed to have been due to a labor shortage, so I want to give them credit for working in a difficult situation. But we waited more than 45 minutes for the check and asked three different people (4 times in total). They also took my food to be boxed and didnt bring it back. That was ok because we didnt love the food - it was very rich and heavy, which I want to also acknowledge might just be personal taste. On the bright side, the free bread was moist and delicious and when we were able to get the staffs attention, they were very friendly.

I ordered the bolognese pasta it was good not great. Nothing to rave about. Was pretty bland and basic for $24. Also very salty like another review said. Maybe it was just an off day? Not sure if Ill be coming back.

Just wow. The most beautiful arugula salad I have ever seen. Squash blossoms that brought tears to my eyes. Maybe the best red sauce of my life. Great patio for aperol spritz.

WOW! WOW! AND DOUBLE WOW! The food was absolutely amazing. From our appetizers to the main course to dessert, OMG! The Polpo alla Luciana and the tuna tartare appetizers were amazing. Our entrees were the specail of the day, swordfish with an amzing sauce. I cant say enough about this amazing new favorite Italian restaurant of ours. The service from Andrea was top knotch! We like a lot eating out. Yesterday we came to this delicious place which friends told us about. We spent a lovely evening there with high-qulity meal and a professional crew and a great cook. We added this venue in our list and we shall definitely come back soon. We deeply recommend.

Pasta Eatalina is the real deal. We’ve been here a few times and consistently have amazing food. You can taste the love that’s gone into making each dish. Definitely worth every penny.

Had the BEST meal ever. We ordered 3 different appetizers (meatballs, squash flowers and eggplant stuffed pepper). Then for dinner had there gnocchi, fettuccine porcini and spaghetti carbonara. This was a traditional Italian dinner. Absolutely the best meal Ive had in a long time; and Im Italian!!!

Service was not good. Took 40 minutes to get drinks and one dinner seemed to have a finger nail in the dish???Did not offer any compensation for the lack of service and just replaced the dinner with a new one. For over $500 not impressed and will not be back!!!

The atmosphere of Pasta EATaliana was an authentic replica of restaurants weve been to all over Italy. The interior was clean and comfortable, they also offer covered outdoor seating on a patio. Andrea, our server, was attentive and quite welcoming. The polpette, 2 large meatballs with ricotta and red sauce, were delicious and shared among three people. Tagliatella bolognese was superb as well as the pasta with mushroom sauce. A great Italian trattoria!

AMAZING!!! I cannot recommend this place enough. Mind blowingly delicious, best Italian food I’ve had outside of Italy. So authentic - the chef is a genius, everything you eat will be absolutely delicious. Also, everything comes with homemade focaccia. Worth every dime!

This is truly authentic. Every body that works there, including the chef, are from Naples. This is not an Italian-American place, so dont expect chicken parm and ceasar salad; this is the real-deal true Italian dishes which they eat in Italy. We had the full shebang: drinks, appetizer, pastas, espresso, and dessert.

My husbands family is from the Puglia region and he is a very opinionated dinner date. Smiling, he told me the Croche Napoletano appetizer was an elevated version of his grandmothers. We always order stuffed zucchini flowers when they are in season and those were equally as delicious. We had the Ziti alla Genovese and Papparedelle Porcini, both excellent. The beef ribs were among the best I have had. Attentive and friendly service. Stop by during the week for a quieter dinner experience you will savor!

My husband and I went there last night and had a very nice meal. Food was good a little pricey for pasta dishes but it was good. We had the squash flowers that were very good. I had the gnocchi’s and they were a little heavy. Drinks were very good. Wait staff was very attentive. However I went back with three girlfriends tonight. I have to say 3 to 4 people at different times are at our tables attending to us. We barely sat down and the waiter came over to us three times asking if we were ready to order. We never even looked at the menu yet kept telling him to come back we were not ready. I feel like we were being rushed even though it was a Thursday night and they did not have any people waiting for the tables. Our food came and it was good and we enjoyed it. However it was time for dessert and we decided on the chocolate layer cake which was good and the pistachio ricotta cake which they highly recommend. We got it and it was frozen so much so we could not cut into it. We called the waiter over and told him we could not eat it because it was frozen. he took it back and in one minute later came back to our table and told us that is how they serve it even though it does not say it is frozen on their menu. We were very disappointed in this. We should have sent it back or they should have just taken it off the menu.I highly doubt that anyone serves anyone a frozen cake. We could have push the issue but we did not. All in all I can say the food is good but not sure we will go there again. Wait stuff is a little bit too pushy also

This is by far the best Neapolitan restaurant I’ve tried in the US...the stuffed pepper and the genovese pasta were out of this world- Giulio not only has excellent technique but uses great ingredients too! Truly exceptional!

Food was absolutely unreal. Went with some friends to celebrate a birthday. Started off with 2 cheese boards. One with pepper jack cheese and your typical meats. Another with buffalo mozzarella. It was so good we ordered another buffalo mozzarella. It’s BYOB currently, so servers popped open our wine and supplied us with glasses. Food came out pretty quick for how busy it was. I ordered the fried zucchini pasta. May possibly be the best meal I’ve ever had. All the food is fresh! Great atmosphere. Servers were outstanding. Same with the hostess and chefs. Great job!

I had the Spaghetti alla Nerano - the 4 huge shrimp and zucchini with creamy sauce and pasta - heavenly - and I will enjoy again, portions are abundant. Fresh focaccia bread and olive oil - 👍🏻👍🏻. SO : add Mario, who was painstakingly attentive without being overbearing, and Sophia Loren watching over us - a marvelous date / experience on Wooster Street in New Haven. The intimate atmosphere and 32 seats would suggest a reservation for dinner. Chef Luciano from Naples - THANK YOU for making this corner scrumptious.

Its very difficult to impress me where food is concerned. After all, my mom was a great cook, as is my sister, Marie.And if I dont like a restaurant, I wouldnt bother reviewing it, at least til I gave it a couple of chances.But this restaurant is truly exceptional.First, Its spotless. I think it was my dad who taught me years ago, you can tell a lot about a restaurant just by looking at the windows. If theyre dirty, keep walking. We were greeted like we owned the place and treated like family.We chose to eat on the outdoor patio which was private, and very pleasant.The food was perfect, I had linguini and clams with a white sauce. We also shared squash flowers and Calamari. Excellent portions, perfectly cooked. Everything was nice and hot, so I knew it wasnt sitting around under a heat lamp.I will definitely go back to this wonderful trattoria .

The best Italian food

We tried take out tonight as I have heard great good reviews.We bought arracini, squash flowers, pasta Bolognese and spaghetti carbonara and cannolis. Almost $100. We did not get any salads or any breads with our entrees.The portions were a rectangle Chinese takeout container for the pastas. Plenty of food but not for that price.The squash flowers were delicious and the spaghetti carbonara was good. The bolognese was salty and so was the arracini.Very disappointed. Maybe the dine in experience is better, but for that price I dont think we will go back. Too many other authentic restaurants in the area.

We had to wait a little while for our reserved table... but OMG! It was totally worth it! The food came out fast and it was amazing. I can tell you all the ingredientes were highest quality and super fresh. The Carbonara and Gnocchi was out of this world, “like Nana used to make it” kinda deal. The service was great and the waiting staff were fantastic (Hola Salvatore!). Will be definitely coming back soon. Enjoy!
