I’ve had a check engine light on my 2011 Range Rover supercharged for 2 months. I’ve taken my truck to numerous mechanics and none of them were able to solve the issue at hand. Took my truck to Auto PHD and after diagnosing my check engine light they were able to solve the problem at a fair price. They just aren’t part chargers, they actually figure out what the issue is at hand. Definitely recommended, don’t look anywhere else!!

I am from Pennsylvania, I went to Alex at Auto PHD...after having my Ford F150 to 2 dealers and 4 Ford techs ... my friend who has known Alex and said there is 1 shop that can fix this... so I followed his advice and I followed him straight to Alexs shop...WHICH IS GORGEOUS, I grew up in the Parts Business and owned 2 Napa Auto Pats Stores, lets just say I would die or a customer such as Alex...Knowledgeable is an understatement...I have recently retired and I do bodywork on Late Model Ford Trucks, everything now needs programmed ...I do not have he talent nor the patience, as Alex an his shop does...I hope Alex is prepared for some more work from Pennsylvania ... Alex is a top notch technician, I own my own repair shop and when I dont have the resources to complete a job alex is who I call. Very impressed with all his knowledge and experience with programming and diagnostic work. He makes the headache jobs simple.

Such excellent service! I recently came in to service my 2017 Lexus RX when it hit the 50,000 mile mark. I was greeted by friendly and attentive staff. As a woman with limited knowledge about cars, I’ve always felt taken advantage of in auto shops. I finally had a very positive experience here thanks to Alex, he took the time to answer my questions, he is extremely knowledgeable and it really put me at ease and I felt very comfortable. Overall a really great experience, and will definitely be coming back in the future.

I went there but the mechanic was making excuses not to work on my car. Most rude part was he was telling me that my car is cheap.

Had my 2018 BMW M550 serviced here . My local bmw had me wait few weeks and i could not just wait around. Did my 10,000 mile oil change along with wiper blade change. In and out in 45 minutes. I came on a busy time but i was extremely happy with how knowledgable Mr. Alex and his friendly staff are.Bringing my 1988 Celica here next for a tune, and another regular maintenance .Plenty of Parking available, air conditioned office and courtesy charging ports are available, and their bathroom was cleaner then my own at home :)5 star service & treatment .Thank you!!

I know Alex and his crew from the shop in LIC. We sent all our diagnostics issues from the body shop to his repair shop. He got it right first time out the box all the time. Guy is a wizard. There is no match to Alex. Guy is scary smart. If you’re going there expecting to be coddled and to feel warm and fuzzy - don’t bother. He’s in the fixing cars business not the therapy business. Much of his work is complex diagnostic repairs most vehicle owners won’t understand anyway. Just be happy the car is fixed the first time without having to make multiple visits or deal with a shop that throws parts a car because they have no idea what they are doing. Not the case with Alex. In short he is the best around and it was a pleasant surprise to learn he relocated to Nassau County the same time I relocated to Nassau from Queens.

Its Honestly Pretty Simple when you think about it....Every time your car isnt working right, you have that uneasy feeling,That it can be costly,.. and STILL not have your problem resolved.I was Tossed Around By Automotive Wolves in the past,..With computer problems, That couldnt be fixed, by the 4 people I had look at it.It was a Chevy, and they had no patience for it.Then a good mechanic told me.. he couldnt fix it..But Alex at PHD could.So I went there...When I brought it to him, He was totally NO NONSENSE....Actually, Beyond NO NONSENSE..You could see, he was on a different level, in the questions he asked me, and how he internally was formulating, an approach to solve the puzzle.An OLD SCHOOL Mechanic,... With the Newest School Techniques.I left it with him, and when I came back it was working perfectly.That was over a year ago.. it still works perfectly.. One Less worry in my head.Today I brought him my Toyota Camry with A/C issues....Again.. Id had a run around with other people... and called Alex when I realized, he did Air Conditioning systems as well.. Not just esoteric Auto computer stuff..Within an hour of me dropping it off, hed located the problems, and told me the most reasonable costing fix, that Really Was a Fix... not just a Temporary patch job.Its that repair attitude, which made me follow him to his new location...And Ive Got To Tell You.... This Shop is Clean... So Clean... its like they do surgery there.Im NOT JOKING.High tech computers, and equipment that are part of a modern pleasant atmosphere, No Dirt, No Grease,.. it could be a photo in a Car Magazine.When I got home I was still thinking about it... and thats what propelled me to write... that I didnt have to pay through the nose, to get this level of auto surgeon to work on my car...Its nice when things work out that way... and Id say,.. go to him first rather than last!.Its Easier, Cheaper, and Better...Thank You Alex

Top auto repair service with expertise on any electrical mechanical besides not being overcharged for all the services they provide. The Hillside Toyota dealers were asking $1500 and weren’t sure of the problem. Auto PhD got it solved precisely for a very reasonable price of $250. This place has always been doing my oil change/filter change, tire rotation and inspection for my car. Never had any problems and if something happens to my car they are the ones i trust to take it to for a full diagnosis on what the problem is and always figure out a way to help me out.
