Love this store been a customer since a child and my parents raised me right down the street and they are very friendly and service has always been great.I walk through the door and always asked if my family is ok and take care.I Love every POBOY they make there but my favorite is shrimp and roast beef..If you stay on west bank you should check them out and promise. You will not be dissatisfied.Let me say now we all know how things are during a hurricane so I wouldnt let that be your absolute opinion..

Came with Bae for a shrimp poboy. He normally gets the trout. The service and food is always great. But this day the shrimp were cold and appeared old and were not plentiful. The shrimp are Normally falling off the sandwich but not the case this time. It was an epic fail and to say we weathered the storm to get there. We were totally disappointed.

Hot food prices poboy sandwich are great

Visited for a coffee and breakfast sandwich. Both were delicious and the service was prompt and friendly at the deli counter and at cashier. Looking forward to trying the po-boys and meat package.

Not the kind of place thats going to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside! Once you get where youre going and take a bite out of this shrimp poboy, youll forgive and forget the social experience, or lack thereof. They are far from friendly, but this 16 fried shrimp poboy is definitely competing with some of the biggest names and best in the restaurant business, in my opinion! You cant beat their food prices with a stick either!

I LOVE THIS PLACE.

I had gave them a bad review at first, about having unfriendly service, and the younger guy giving the wrong change all the time, but Im made a mistake and deleted my first review, when I just wanted to update it. Update: They are trying to be better with customer service, still high as hell on a lot of stuff though. So I give them 4 stars, as far as customer service goes.

GREAT Po boys at excellent prices. This is one of those excellent little secret places that the locals eat. Pretty decent variety of groceries if you dont want to have to go out of the neighborhood to shop for groceries.

Staff and cooks nice. Best sandwiches and chicken plates.

I loved this place but the man thats sometimes in the kitchen has a huge problem with giving out extra condiments...like ketchup napkins extra pickles on youre sandwich...we used to travel from marrero in a group of 7 or 8 people and make really big orders but always ran into a problem when we asked for extra stuff somethings that should automatically come with it..but no we got attitudes dirty looks and sometimes right out no they cant have that after we have spent 35 to 45 dollars .. unbelievable but we have never went back!!

River Fine Foods makes great Poboys!! As a matter of fact, their sandwiches are the best in the area and I completely recommend their food! Anastasia does a fantastic job!! Do not go to Subway they have awful service!

Ive had Po-Boys here several times, and the locals concur - they are FAR better than anything Ive had downtown New Orleans and for considerably less money. Take the Ferry to Algiers for $2 (one-way - cool trip across the river), walk out the door and turn left. Its about a 10 minute walk on the levee. You will not be disappointed. Also, check out Congregation coffee shop (2 minute walk from ferry) or see Ralph on Opelousas St. for a Snow-Ball. Everything worth seeing in NOLA is NOT downtown.UPDATE 2021: Big group of us ate here in April and again in May. Still the best. I ate one on the same trip downtown near Bourbon street at a world famous Po Boy shop; meh. River Fine Foods is still the bomb (if thats still cool to say). Plus Algiers is really developing. Very nice.

Went here for the breakfast. Its pretty cheap..if Im not mistaken I got 2 plates for like 5 bucks; grits.eggs.choice of meat(link.bacon etc) .toast.Quick heads up ur eggs gonna always be jacked up.js

River Fine Foods has the best po-boys on Algiers Point, hands down, and very reasonable prices. A 16-inch hot roast beef po-boy runs around six dollars--an incredible deal compared to other local restaurants (6 for $8+). All the usual po-boy varieties are available and custom orders are no problem. They offer a wind range of meats in their deli and sell large BBQ-style packages. The deli is usually crowded so phoning your order in ahead of time is a wise choice, especially since its a small grocery store with no tables or chairs. Maybe not the best choice for tourists but the locals love it. Rates a 4/5 in food, 4/5 in value, and 0/5 in atmosphere (as there really is none).
