Ever wonder what it would be like to live inside of Tokimeki Memorial, and watch about a dozen awkward dates occur at once? You should go there. Here. Whichever. It did not feel real, cuz of all the stuff. 10 out of 10, would lurk again.Lurk just sounds awful. Pretend I used a different word...Observed? Nope. Not much better.Did I buy anything? No. Not for me. I dont have that kind of money. I live on my car, geez.

Prices are $$$. Selection is pretty decent. The layout is easy to walkthrough with plenty to look at. If you know what you want you likely wont find it, but its got stuff you might not have known you wanted.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.I have been shopping for antiques my whole life with my mom, its my favorite past time. But since I’m in my twenties this store did NOT take me seriously. When i walked in i was ignored and not greeted. Then when i asked to see some jewelry they snapped at me and opened the cases with some anger. I realize I look like I know nothing and have no money but it is quite the opposite. I am very disappointed with this service and will not be coming back or recommending this store to anyone.I do recommend they change their front door sign to “60+ only” since they only care to be nice to people of that age. :)
For the quality of stuff they have, it’s very overpriced. I’m willing to shell out some change for a great piece but this place was kinda ridiculous.
My son & I had a blast walking through the store. We marveled at the many treasures that were on the shelves and floor and in cases, etc...We bought a few things. The prices were reasonable. There are a lot of items in the store that shows that the old days allowed things that wouldnt be tolerated these days. It was an awesome experience.
Pretty standard antique shop. Naturally, it really depends on what youre looking for and what they have at that particular moment, but other than the impressive size of the place I wasnt particularly blown away. To be clear - it is worth it to stop by, ESPECIALLY if you like this kind of thing. My visit just didnt really stand out.
I came to this store back in 2012 and ran across the most fabulous pub style bar. It cost me a trip back but didn’t care. Not only do I love Nola but I love this shop. Every time I come I go there. Once I bought a old fire extinguisher for my father in law who has a 1929 fire truck. Funny thing is it come from where I live. Rome Ga. we all laugh because it came back full circle
Hands down the coolest store in NOLA
Super expensive! Cool stuff but OUTRAGEOUSLY priced! Thats why they will have the same stuff 5 yrs from now
Id like to comment on the awesome customer service from the manager Karen. During my visit to NOLA I came across this location while strolling along Magazine Street. I fell in love with an item that regrettably I didnt purchase at the time. I could not stop thinking about it once I got back home to NY so I called the store and asked if I can purchase the item over the phone and have it shipped. Luckily it was still available and Karen made it happen and I am so happy and grateful! The shop itself is full of unique and nostalgic items. Everything is clean, no dust and no musty smell like most antique stores. I also found the prices to be quite reasonable. If youre on Magazine Street make your way over to this shop!
Dont bother coming here if youre planning on paying a decent price for anything. A vintage watch I was interested in was priced 3x its market value and their explanation was their rent was high and they know film makers purchase them for the look and theyll pay the higher prices. Theres also no bathroom or they wont let you use it and they make you check your bags so you dont accidentally hit something.
This is my favorite place in the city to poke around for unique items. Over the years Ive bought old Carnival jewelry, small entryway tables, and an old munitions shell to use as an umbrella stand. The ladies at the counter have always been cheerful and helpful!
The Magazine Antique Mall is one of my favorite places to visit!! I have been living in New Orleans for the past 4 years and I always stop in when I’m in the neighborhood (or waiting for Rum House). It’s the perfect place to find a beautiful fur coat or a unique southern trinket. It’s so quintessentially New Orleans and I absolutely recommend stopping by.
Unique selection of oddities and collectibles. Check it out if you are shopping on Magazine.
I found a beautiful buffet table that was quite reasonably priced. The staff were pleasant and helpful in getting it out and even helped me load it into my vehicle. I look forward to returning on my next nola visit. The place is packed with neat antiques and collectibles.
Vendors who sell there should know that the owner/staff go out of their way to prevent sales of their inventory with their rude, selective, and unaccommodating service and comments. I was willing to purchase a pricey vintage coat until the woman at the counter hissed at me for asking if they negotiated on prices (it is a vintage/antique market for goodness sake, that is not an unreasonable question). She was so incredibly rude in her response that the sale and my future business or referrals to this store was lost, sadly - I did love that coat and would have paid up for it :(
Ive been visiting NOLA since my early childhood and this place has been one of my must visits every single trip since discovering it.Ive picked up some of the most FABULOUS tchotchkes youll find in the city here!!Worth a visit to buy antique glass Mardi Gras bead throws if nothing else ( ...although the place HAS everything else if youre looking for it...) !!!
Great place! I always find something cool! Worth a trip from the Quarter to look for reasonably priced treasures!
Being someone who loves these kinds of places, this was my favorite stop in New Orleans. There were lots of cool items, including records, collectibles, vintage furniture, and more. We didnt make any purchases, but we considered several items. If youre a fan of antiquing, Id recommend a stop. The lady watching the front of the store was very pleasant.
My sons and I stopped by today. We all like antiques to browse and buy. There were two women with short hair. The lady with the darker hair was extremely pretentious and rude. Definitely avoid. I asked if a bathroom was available. She curtly stated, No! Even though another woman said there was. The lady with very dark short hair and arrogant smile, stated I would flood it out. Can you imagine!?! I certainly was stunned. If you have a customer who is actually buying items, don’t be rude and don’t assume the customer would make issue in the bathroom. My whole party and I departed to find a bathroom down the road. We found the gracious and kind people at the Vintage coffee shop. The coffee and beignets were delicious. We were not going to return to the antique mall, though my four sons wanted to continue looking, so we did. In the end I spend $338, not the most, though surely worthy of access to the bathroom. The vendors should be aware of the smug attitude that permeates the whole area from the older lady with very short and very dark hair. I didn’t catch her name, one would not want to have her on their mind for anymore than to write a review. The lady with grayish dark hair did accommodate my requests to look in a few locked cabinets, she was friendly. So direct yourself to her!
I love this place. Goods change constantly. I always find a treasure there.
One of the best shops on Magazine Street! Ive been visiting several times a year for over 9 years yet every visit is a brand new experience. Items span a wide range of prices, decades, and interests. Hours can be unreliable - so call before dropping by.
Love this place. Has a little bit of everything. Lots of small antiques. Sectioned of well with several different areas. Could spend an hour walking around each time i go. Located in the busy part of magazine street, so you can check out other places too.
The reviews from this place are kind of all over the map, especially negative ones from a while back, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, on a quick trip to New Orleans I stopped in and I was very pleasantly surprised! The two ladies at the front were extremely nice. I bought several items I thought were well priced, a china tea pot, some plates and napkins. I’d recommend a stop, and especially since sucre is right next door!!!
I went in without an idea of what I wanted and left with a nice new pipe. The lady with the black hair was the one who opened the display cases and helped me with any questions I had. She was knowledgeable about most of the things I asked about, but as a person you cant expect her to know everything. She was very patient with me even when I wasnt interested in an item in a display case. Its a very big store and there are lots of things, from glassware, to WWI memorabilia, to cufflinks, to classic clothing to comic books - the store is just packed with stuff. Absolutely give it a look, even if you arent into antiques. I can guarantee you youll find something that youll like. The prices arent too crazy either.
Wow there are a bunch of cool things here. I could probably spend a few hrs there looking through it all. Good prices for good items and theres quite a selection. I got good service here and felt very welcomed.
A very neat antique store with lots of great treasures! We enjoyed our time here very much! And we took home a few finds!!
If I did not have to trudge to Walmart to (unwillingly) do a weekly major grocery shopping trip, I would-and could have-spent an entire day here. Every square inch of this large antique dealer collective is filled with amazing antiques-everything from 1970s pop culture collectibles to incredibly rare artifacts of all kinds from past major wars. Very clean, despite the staggering amount of booths and items, this place does not feel claustrophobic or like a hoarders cluttered storage space. I will go back and spend many happy hours there.
Picked up a sweet vintage tie and was tempted by tons of cookware and jewelry as well
From kitsch to curated, theres a big range in this store. Prices are reasonable, the layout is good, and the air conditioning works. The women at the counter were friendly and welcoming. Only wish is that staff walking around offered to take customers selections up front.
Took off early and rushed across town to get a very specific gift from M. A. M. They posted on their front door that they have shortened their hours and close early (right at the holiday season). But they haven’t updated online. I love that they are still a mom-n-pop thriving in the corporate takeover of Magazine St. But their new hours appear to cater only to tourists.
Great store with a lot of good finds. Huge selection, good quality and good prices.
Lots of bad reviews about service. Can’t speak of them almost didn’t go in because of them.Fortunately I did make my way in and had to deal with the lady with the short black hair.Nothing but wonderful things to say about our visit. I found a wonderful treasure and she could not be more accommodating. She took extra special care packaging it for us and was truly excited to see our pleasure finding that wonderful birdcage.Would recommend 100% don’t go in there looking for a bad confrontation. Give them the chance to give good service I feel they will
Stopped at this store whilst wandering along Magazine St. Whilst there I found an old VW hubcap which I decide to buy . At the till I informed the lady that it will be travelling all the way back to Ireland with me, the lady commented wow. After I made the purchase I was standing at the other end of counter viewing jewellery with my wife when a 2nd lady who also worked behind the counter came up to me and said, you came all the way from England to buy a German hubcap. I replied, no I am from Ireland. The same lady then responded with, you came all the way from Ireland to buy a German hubcap. Soon as she said her piece she walked away.I did not purposely travel all the way to New Orleans to buy a German hubcap . If you think thats what I did, you need to question your intelligence . Please remember, if people dont visit your store, you wont have a business and all those items you have on display, will remain like that - on display.
Lots of hidden gems at reasonable prices for their age and rarity. Anyone could find something that they like.
This place is PACKED with wonderful things and it is clean and dust free! Thats important to someone with asthma.
Ive found a few gems here. I keep seeing reviews about bad service. Maybe its your attitude. Ive never had anything but pleasant conversation here and have always been helped with a smile. Take your time looking, theres a lot of stuff in every nook and cranny. Its the thrill of the hunt! Open your eyes and take your time.
I have visited quite a few antique shops in the NOLA area, this was one of my favorites. The staff was wonderful and the store was huge. I had spent an hour and a half looking all around before I found a 4 ft tall, heavy plaster pedestal that was only 30 dollars, and an antique crystal light with a marble base and dangling crystals around it for only 50. Two things I will treasure forever, and happy with the price I paid to aquire them.
Weve been here a few times really cool items
So much to choose...really great people too
Lots of stuff, but grossly OVERPRICED! Do your research before buying.Let me add: I had to post this. I stood at the front for a second looking at different items and I noticed they greeted everyone EXCEPT the African Americans who entered the store. The only time they acknowledged one black couple was to let them know to leave their oversized bags at the front.
Always find something for someone on my gift list here. huge store good prices and friendly staff
They have a wonderful eclectic variety and the prices are reasonable and negotiable
Bad reviewers just don’t get the vibes and that’s ok
This place is freaking awesome!!! So much old cool stuff! Easily lost an hr in there
Stacked full. some great deals.. some things they are very proud (so proud they charge too much for)
Really cool store, tons of interesting things to dig through.
Lots of interesting things to see. Very packed but fun to look through if you like to search, which I like to do.
Everything is way over priced and its really difficult to get any help from staff. In the event you do find anything reasonably priced, checkout is extremely slow. Also noticed the staff is generally pretty rude and not very helpful. Was much nicer many years ago. Not anymore though.
WORST workers Ive ever encountered! Extremely discriminatory towards people with children. Told us to leave our stroller at the door and let our THREE year old walk loose instead while carrying our 11 month old...yeah because a three year old loose in an antique store is MUCH less hazardous than having him CONTAINED in a stroller. Workers in front were absolutely horrible to my husband and I. This store is NOT baby friendly, handicapped friendly, or southern valued. Id think twice before giving them any of your hard earned money to their racist, discriminatory behinds! The only place they belong is SHUT DOWN!
One of the coolest places I shopped at! A must see!
On a recent visit to New Orleans, my wife found, and fell in love with this store. Karen helped us out, and went above and beyond to help us. We walked away with commemorative Hess Truck drinking glasses. Our son collects all of the Christmas Hess truck toys, and these make a great addition to his collection.
Theres all sorts of interesting stuff here and nice jewelry.
Avoid at all costs! The owner of this terrible establishment is about to learn a lesson about social media, marketing, Federal law, and about just how much Americans embrace their military service members. Refusing a disabled veteran access because of his need to be tied to his service dog is not only a violation of Federal law, but completely immoral. The market will adjust by having you run out of customers willing to patronize such a place.
The place has a lot of vintage pieces. I wish there prices were reduced more than half. Why would they charge 9 bucks for an old postcard?Fun for the knick knack addicts, but the prices keep my wallet closed.
Super funky and fun antique mall. thats right a mall (read flea market). they have many booths curated by diff junk dealers. you can find some real treasures here.
Not what we expected. More a junk shop than antique store.
I was in there with my friends and i asked the owners if I could buy a fake apple that was part of a set on its own and she said just take it. That made my day.
The service is absolutely disgusting. We went looking for something in particular and the women with short black hair told us she didn’t have it and almost throw as away the store just cuz she wanted to close before the closing Time. “Due to Mardin gras we don’t have to many Clients so we closing now “... I mean, I completely understand why you don’t have to many clients Today! At the moment I told her she was rude and that the way she was treating us wasn’t nice enough she just reply back: “to back to your city safe”.Never again.
Horrible costumer service horrible attitude from the ladies that I suppose own the place, you cant keep you bag with you and that is understandable, but she have no interest to get your business and will claim to not have the key of the cabin if you try to buy something, she do not like tourist inside the shop, i was willing to buy a full box of purse mirrow and she would keep shouting at me from the till to stop to look into the cabinet has she have no key, in the same way you tell a kid to behave. All the bad reviews are real
Nice selection of wwii and other military collectibles
Well organized and fun place to shop. I love to shop here when visiting NOLA.
This place has a lot of interesting and creepy things! Worth passing by just for the heck of it!
Decent sized antique mall... Not many left. None in the quarter...
Loved this place, packed with interesting finds!
Could have spent all day here. Incredible stuff at reasonable prices.
Lots to see. Fun shop. FYI- Must leave large bags at counter.
Great assortment of things you dont see just everywhere, but not inexpensive.
An amazing collection of everything. Just wish I had more time to explore everything.
No impressed with what they had but they may have what youre looking for. Staff ignored us
Awesome prices on your grandmothers nik-naks.
Could spend an hour or two out of the hot sun of New Orleans just browsing through the nostalgia.
Great variety of finds!!!
Chic shoppe with a mix of amazing antiques
Just check yr bag and give in
Interesting stuff, sometimes reasonable prices. Staff a little rude.
No restrooms for customers. Horrible place.
Lots of interesting things.
Cool to look but prices were high.
This antique shop is an overpriced rip off. I should have done my research they priced a bobble head worth $60 at $240. After she gave me a deal at $200 I realized the bobble head I bought was worth about $60. Shame on me for not doing my research.
Erin was very helpful. Bought alot, but they dont pack or ship, bummer.
These people who work there are the biggest stuck up slags. I have spent well over a thousand dollars in this over priced store, with a few reasonably priced items--- not many. But they some how still cant remember my face even though they insist on taking my over sized bag, as I see other ladies walk in with WAAAY bigger purses than me and they let em go right on by- must be because I have tattoos? These hags are rude and chomp down food as oppose to help me find what i am looking for. I dont know why I keep going back.
You could get lost with all the stuff there
Its sooooooooo overpriced!!!! 😭😭 Not a place to come looking for deals!
Cute place nice people
Very large antique stores. Chaotic. But prices are not bad.
Worthless bag of crap is what the owner of this crap hole store is. Terrible customer service, horrible selection. Would not buy a roll of toilet paper from these aholes.
We travel all the way from southern Illinois to New Orleans a lot and this is always one of our favorite stops!!! The people are friendly and helpful and there are always new treasure to check out!!!!
Interesting. Lots of stuff.
A great place to treasure hunt!
Good prices, wide assortment of antiques.
Awesome finds, prices not to bad
Not complying with the ADA and kicking a service dog out? Despicable!
Ignorant clerk. Im so anxious to go back and sift through the overpriced junk while being insulted by astoundingly rude and moronic old dragon at the front desk.
Tons of stuff, love to visit.
Might find some treasures here. I found a few postcards and photos to bring home. Star rating would be higher it prices werent so high.
