Nice staff but not enough of them. They were super busy with customers and Uber orders coming through. We had to wait about 10 minutes just to place an order. They sell rolled ice cream and snowballs. Prices are $6.50 for the rolled ice cream. Prices vary for the snowballs. It took like 30 minutes to get our ice cream order. The staff was super nice but it appeared to be all teenagers with no real leadership on the floor.
Finally made it & the coast was clear. 75 degrees and balmy; and the Freezy My Thai ice cream for the bill for ice cream goodness.Love the nature/disposition of the employees. Friendly, patient & accommodating.Love the selection of pre made creations available.Cost is a little above the norm, but consider the process & the creation... So Worth it
I am so thankful for vegan options! I had the coconut almond base ice cream, which really hardens when frozen so it was not as easy to roll and I completely understand. They used a fresh clean top and clean utensils as well. Was originally going to get a sno-ball but they were out of ice, being later in the evening. Glad I was able to enjoy vegan ice cream on vacation!!!
The staff is very personable and the ice cream was high quality, presented in an imaginative way. My only complaint is the length of the wait. There were 2 of us and we had to wait for the server to do the sundaes one at a time, so I was half finished with mine before my son got his. Staff needs to work on organization & efficiency.
Went way out the way with groceries in the truck to get some quick ice cream for desert but there was a 45 min wait we found out after waiting in line for at least 15 min before that. They did not have many ice cream flavors or combinations I think I would have liked anyways. We rolled out and got a sunday from mc donalds next door. An hour wait for ice cream. No thanks. We will just go to marble slab or cold stone next time plus they have many options and even with long lines they still go quick. Some people may enjoy this but for us we did not get to try it nor will we.
I had my first taste of Rolled Ice Cream yesterday, and even though I am not a huge fan of ice cream in general, this was PHENOMENAL!! I had the Strawberry Shorty with fresh strawberries, graham crackers, chocolate syrup, slivered almonds and whipped topping, and it was honestly, one of the best desserts I have ever tasted. The owners work very hard to provide their customers with plenty of variety choices (including vegan options), and a high quality product made from all fresh ingredients. Give them a try --- you WONT be disappointed!!
Safe to say this was a disappointing trip. I decided to take my kids out for ice cream and they wanted this place. Firstly there’s no “hospitality” no welcome, no hello, no wave... nothing. They’re pretty much out of all the good toppings and the staff just seems like they don’t want to be here. They’re playing some kind of weird music on the radio (expletive). An overall disappointing experience. Is in the hood so beware. You can’t park in the shared lot with McDonald’s so be careful of that and street parking is scarce because the neighbors have the no parking signs everywhere as it’s predominantly residential. WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE!!!!! BEWARE!!
Smiley was very diligent in his work. The store was crowded however he was able to manage everything so professionally despite his age. His maturity truly shows.
I typically love this place and always have great customer service however I went in today and the cashier was very nonchalant and passive. I was undecided on what to get so I proceeded to ask her questions. I asked her about a item on the menu and she stated that “It was just a picture showing me how the item would come.”So I asked her What was the name of the item and she told me that she couldn’t see because she didn’t bring her glasses. So I then asked her what was in one of the items and she replied “it’s written up there”. So I asked her if she didn’t know what was in there. She then pointed out that the ingredients were written underneath the yellow words. So I then replied “oh you can see that now ?” She replied sarcastically “I mean I have to know what’s in there if I work here.” So I expressed to her that I knew that she knew the ingredients in the items but when I asked her” she couldn’t see or wasn’t willing to tell me” I didn’t get anything because I don’t patronize where my money isn’t appreciated. There is so much going on in the world and customers shouldn’t have to deal with nonchalant employees. I didn’t get her name, I believe she mumbled something when I left but when I asked her if she said something, she said “huh”. Didn’t get her name, however it happened at about 5:08 PM on August 29,2020.
Very cute place, the ice cream was great and theres a great variety of options and then toppings. There is also some food and snowcones as well.
Their ice cream really everything I recently had Pawleen and it’s was so good the guy Jay mad my ice cream so pretty, he really was excited to fix it and make sure it had the best presentation! I always visit them!
It’s really good ice cream. The staff SUCKS!!! I’m a loyal customer but they NEVER have everything that I would like on my ice cream. Y’all need to stock up on supplies Freezy Street
Got to have a favorite snowball and ice cream place living in New Orleans. This is mine! I live on snowballs during the summer and the points you get for each purchase add up to get a rolled ice cream treat. Nice treat for a hot winters day too.
Smiley was amazing! His customer service is great!! Jadon has good customer service as well
This place was an incredible find. If you get a chance to visit while in New Orleans you will not regret it, even if you have to wait a little bit, as the reward at the end of that line is highly prized. This is the best ice cream in the city, and its a fun place to go. If you get a chance to talk with either of the owners, who are usually there, definitely do so. Adam is a great guy who has brought a great business to this great city. 5 stars all the way this ice cream!
Crazy good ice cream, crazy long waitTakes them an hour to process 5 orders
Freezy Street staff is beyond ignorant. They are extremely slow and awful at time management! The prices are too high to deal with aggravating staff. All of the employees look like they just rolled out of the bed and the cashier has absolutely no idea what she is doing. And I am under the impression that there are employees sitting in the back bring useless. Don’t come here.
Ive never seen ice cream made this way before but its such a good place! I got the Salt, Netflix, Chill ice cream (cookie butter, brownie brittle, sea salt caramel) its super tasty. The ladies there are very nice too! Well definitely visit again next time were in New Orleans.
The ice cream we got it was amazing not. And we definitely enjoyed the vending machine with all the cool stuff in it! Sending good vibes from Houston!
Apparently, ice cream of any type has long been desired in the neighborhood. After two failed attempts (Saturday and Sunday) I finally got some today. With an hour long wait. Was it worth it? Yes!I think its a bit harsh to give a business one star on their second day of being open. The owners, who seem very hands-on, communicative, and friendly, have been very open via social media and in person about how they didnt quite expect this level of blowing up in the first few days.Having seen many businesses open in the neighborhood, I was shocked when I tried to go Saturday. It was crazy busy! Went back yesterday, but couldnt wait an hour and a half and promised to try again today. They posted on social media about the difficult decision to cut off the line due to wait time (trying to close on time) and quite frankly, Ill happily support a business thats willing to take the flack so that their employees can get home when theyre supposed to.Anyhow, it tastes as good as it looks and Ill definitely be back! Hopefully, for the sake of the customers, it quiets just a little. :) The ice cream takes a little bit to prepare (around five minutes) but its worth it.
Only one person working, we had to wait quite a while for all of our orders to be ready. I understood, but it was not a good first impression.
I brought three of my students here for the best snoballs! But the service was even better. Smiley took great care of us, and when my car key fob malfunctioned, he took time out to help me fix it. A true community establishment. Thank you Smiley!
Smiley was friendly and quick! I enjoyed my visit to Freezy Street
Postmates and DoorDash and Google say this business is open when actually closed. Not on top when mentioning if business is in operation. The hours on Google Maps and the other vendor apps should say closed if actually closed.
The place is always clean. All kids work there which I think is awesome! Menu options are great and I always leave happy! Keep up the good work y’all!
I got a My Thai for the first time and it wasnt bad but my I got a bite of the Smore kind and that was damn good 😍
We are from Ohio, here on vacation and so happy we stopped in! Our girls were so excited to visit after watching many YouTube videos about these kinds of ice cream shops. Jada and Zack made the experience amazing with their friendly and helpful customer service. It was great talking with them thanks for great time and wonderful ice cream
This place has very good ice cream and the service is friendly too! The only negative for me is the slow service. If that improves this place would have 5 stars!
Who ever the girl was that was working the night of April 11, 2020, definitely does not know what she is doing. Came in and purchased two ice creams both were ordered with fillings, one had it and the other did not, also got a my Thai. And it did not have any Thai tea in it, it just tasted like milk made into ice cream. One of the problems could have been that she could not hear what I was telling to her since the music was extremely loud. Normally when I go in the music is not loud at all. Very bad experience, if she’s working next time I go in. I will not order.
The ice cream was pretty good! I ordered one of the premades, but I asked to have three toppings removed. Two toppings were removed, but the third wasnt, and it really took away from the experience. That said, I know they were trying their best with all of the confusion due to COVID-19.
A different take on Ice cream. Super delicious.
Great vegan ice cream rolls. I tried the Chantilly, and it was awesome. The young lady that works there (St. Claude location) has really perfected the technique. Oh, the entire staff was cool and friendly.
Arrived within minutes of them closing and the woman was very nice, patient and made us some amazingly delicious ice cream!
GREAT ICE CREAM AND GREAT SERVICEI took my family to the Freezy Street on St. Claude Avenue before ending a weekend in New Orleans. They were friendly and served up delicious hand-rolled ice cream. My daughters vegan ice cream was superb!
I had the My Thai which was Thai ice tea flavored ice cream with condensed milk and I chose to have almonds on top. It was delicious. It was a good bit of ice cream. Could have split it with some one. I lucked out and there was only two people in front of me at 8 pm on a Saturday night but the line did get long as we were reading it ice cream. It was seven dollars a person. Unlimited tons and sauces. So I wouldnt go allot but I will return for a treat here and there. I enjoyed watching it made.
Waited in line for fifteen minutes without ever once being waited on. There were other customers in there but by no means was it full. Had places to be so we had to walk out before we got a chance to taste the good looking deserts. Hope to have better experience next time we try.
Awesome place!! Takes a while waiting for your order but watching the process to make the rolled icecream is exciting for the kids. Cool staff and nice vibe. Parking around there is not the best
This is a great new ice cream shop in New Orleans. Their ice cream is made in front of you while you wait. Its fresh- you can watch them put the fresh strawberries right into the cream- no artificial flavors here! Its worth a short drive away from the French Quarter to find it because you wont find anything even close to this in the French Quarter. its a secret the folks from New Orleans like to keep to themselves. The ice cream is rolled up like a newspaper and so fresh it will surprise you.
With all of this going on in the world right now dealing with the pandemic. Tell me why would the worker sit our snowballs down on the table with other people standing and talking over them. I tell the young lady thats not good sanitize procedure. She didnt care or understand what I was saying. No more snowballs from there
Just left from here and its amazing especially from them just opening they done a GREAT jobs and kept a good convoy from beginning to end.. Then I wasnt expecting the ice cream to taste healthy which is great especially bringing my 3yr old son with me... We will be back.
Very good ice cream but very slow service. Everyone has been nice whenever I have gone, but it takes forever to get your turn in line.
I love the fact I can bring my kids to get Snoballs year round. First time trying the rolled ice cream and I love it!
Great ice cream place in the neighborhood. The day we went they were out of the vegan ice cream which was a bummer. But the snowball cucumber melon snowball was a great alternative.
The ice cream was delicious but the two employees were not friendly or even the least bit welcoming, and my one star experience does not end there, my one year old was not allowed to enter the building because he was not wearing a mask and for purposes that i should not even have to explain you can not put a mask on a one year old child!!
Amazing snowballs and ice cream! 😊 Will definitely be coming back again. Smiley gave great customer service! 😊
Unique ice cream experience with great flavor
Fun, delicious, meticulous. Great selection, the final product, which takes longer to prepare than bacon and eggs, is weird and wonderful. The only drawback is the wait because of the personal attention to each order. Its great for kid cuz they get to watch the intriguing preparation. Were glad its here.
I am in love with this unique free spirited ice cream shop their treats are delightful a must try go fall in love like i did you wont be disappointed 😍😍😍.
Ice cream was really good and snowballs too chilli cheese hotdogs was okay prices were great but the issue is waiting over hour to get my stuff unacceptable staff has attitude probably wont ever go back again
Didnt find all that great. New experience. Different way to eat ice cream. But dont see the fuss over it. Just not my cup of tea. Now creole creamy. Different story. Will be back there over and over
Best EEE-VVERR! All of the ice cream dishes we ordered were top notch, and on par with the expectation...but the skill and service of this spot is unmatched! I WAS FLOORED TO EXPERIENCE, NOT ONLY GREAT SERVICE, BUT A DAIRY FREE OPTION THAT WAS BEYOND DELICIOUSNESS! The heck with traditional ice cream. If it aint rolled, I dont want any parts.
Unique ice cream shop with great service! Jada was the bomb and watching her make the ice cream was super cool!
Tee greeted me with friendly customer service at the counter and even Dae made my bomb Netflix and chill rolled ice cream definitely coming back with some friends next time 😉
I found this great ice cream eatery on the Ubiz app and so glad I gave them a try. They have something very unique and their flavors are outstanding. I recommend the Chantilly.
This was my first time visiting. I enjoyed the ice cream and the staff was great. I am visiting for a college graduation but I will definitely come back the next time I visit New Orleans.
OMG!!!! Well worth the drive, this ice cream is fabulous!!!! The staff is patient, they enjoy what they do! Very friendly, the toppings are unlimited and despite the wait time which I completely understand (just like at the Dr’s office because they give individual attention to ensure that you are satisfied) this by far was THE BEST I’ve had in a very long time! My 5 kids ate the craziest combinations but I ate the VEGAN option. Delicious to say the least!
The ice cream rolls are awesome here and the staff is really friendly. Smiley, Joe, and Ri are the best crew at this joint! They deserve a raise!
Very ghetto area. it was tasty but having it one time was enough. not worth the wait in my opinion. it is entertaining to watch them make the rolled ice cream in front of you....but id rather just have ready made ice cream than rolled up ice cream that has other ingredients mixed in.
I had the cotton candy po-boy and it was really good! Plus they have 2 great arcade machines to play for free! Highly recommend for some great treats!
Great ice cream and T was super helpful with suggestions for toppings. Sweet art vending machine too!
Im sure its great ice cream, but being pregnant, not feeling super well, AND no working AC in the place thats crowded with people for a 50 min wait on ice cream, this was a no go for me. Maybe under better conditions and a different time of day Ill give it another go. Till then Ill enjoy my ice cream cone in the AC next door at McDonalds with no wait.
The idea and concept for the establis ATTIRE WITHhment are great! The topping choices, prices and recipes are ALL WITH WITH WONDERFUL!! I OUT UNPLEASANT THE -->WOULD
Yum! Wish they had a smaller size but hey nothing wrong with an occasional indulgence. Highly recommend. Super treat!
Davey and Jay were amazing my favorite spot my kids enjoys their ice cream and they have great service they get a 💯 10/10 I love coming here if I need ice cream freezy street is the #1 place to go.
There was a wait, but it was well worth It! The ChocoLoco ice cream was awesome, plus the fresh, sweet strawberries and crunchy almonds were the perfect toppings. The staff was pleasant and the scenery was so inviting, very colorful! I will definitely return 😁😊!
