We LOVE Hanks. We usually are there late night for Ice cream and beer. The people working there have grown to be our friends.They accept credit cards, Apple Pay, food stamps and cash. They have some premium wines like Whispering Angel that are priced better than other places around . Wide selection of beers and all kinds of booze.You see all kinds of folks at Hanks, making for good people watching but I want to remind y’all (especially out of town visitors) that not everyone is nice (or sane) so back away if anyone acts bizarrely or threatening.And always, always be polite to our hard-working friends there. No matter how silly drink you might be!Have fun yall!

One of the best little grocery/bodegas in the city. Always helpful and friendly, even when it seems like half of the community has turned against them.

Everything theyve told you about this fried chicken and fried fish spot is true and then some. It was surprisingly not greasy, crispy, and great tasting. And the prices are super affordable too! Different friends and locals recommended this spot as a must try in NOLA!

Ive ordered from here before and theyve always been great. Today I wasnt paying attention to my phone and the driver stuck around for quite a while to make sure my order was delivered. Staff goes above and beyond as always

So far the best place I’ve found for poboys! Our AirBnB host raved about Hank’s and we were not disappointed. They’re a little sketchy looking but the food is amazing. Meat pies- awesome. The egg rolls weren’t very good... but everything else was fire🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.

The Oyster poboy is off the chain! And the dipping sauce for the chicken tenders will make you slap yo great grandma. Definitely tasty food when heading home late night after drinking.

24/7 fried food for good prices. Tons of liquor, snacks, and all sorts of goodies. However, it did not strike me as a very clean place to get your food. You are paying exactly what youre getting.

I ordered 2 shrimp eggrolls thru DoorDash and everytime I’ve ordered something from DoorDash I got what I ordered but In this case it was different not only did I not get what I ordered but was told I could not get a refund that’s pretty messed up I got bean eggrolls instead of shrimp eggrolls def need to be taken off of DoorDash and Uber eats

My package was deliver by UPS to their store and was accept by Joe. Get to the store to pick up my package, it was not there. No one can seem to find my package. No help from the ppl in the store. UPS do not need to use them as access point for ppl to pick up their packages. Because obviously they cant keep track of ppl packages.. #thieves

They are rude! The cashier didnt acknowlede me until she finished what she was doing on her phone! The chicken was so old and I asked before i purchased it! A young man was killed recently in front his girlfriend because they food was incorrect, and instead of them defusing the situation and pleasing the customers it resulted in someone losing their life! It needs to shut down!!

Love this joint. Foods good. Owners real nice. I once left my wallet in the store and they tracked me down on facebook and returned it to me with all the cash still in it. Plus theres always some jerry springer action in the parking lot or adjacent neutral ground

This place is great! Its fast, convenient, and their fried chicken is delicious (although my personal favorite is the shrimp po-boy). Their selection of beers in the back is also quite robust and I can typically find something Im in the mood for.

Judging from the outside, this place looks super suspect from the outside. But dont let that alarm you and stop you from having the best fried chicken youll probably ever have. Its super cheap! And even if they charged three times the price for what they charge for their chicken, I would happily still pay those prices. Ive never ordered anything other than their fried chicken so I wont know how good their other items are.

This place and owners are a gem find. I came from out of state looking for certain items and found exactly what we were looking for. The gentlemen was very nice, and helpful. Greeted us when we entered the store, and and came straight to us to help and also gave us great tips to visit while we were here in town. I will be moving here soon, and this store is so close to where I will be and I will frequent here definitely!

Hole-in-the-wall market, no frills, no bells and whistles. However, when the fish is freshly fried, it is literally the best catfish I have ever eaten. I have had the fish numerous times, and it is always perfectly fried, with just the right amount of kick in the cornmeal breading. Best of all, 2 pieces of fish is $1.99 (fish and biscuit, no fries). The place near me, a Krispy Krunchy brand, sells a 2-piece with fries and biscuit for $6.99.Yes, I know many may be skeptical that I am recommending a quickie mart for fried catfish, but dont knock it til youve tried it. And for $1.99, why not give it a try. Also, open late.

Cashier was rude and had a nasty attitude! The guy that was in front of me received the best service,but when it was my turn she was really nasty with me. She went on to telling the other customers that Im having difficulty and I had just placed my food on the counter she was in a rush and Im never giving bad reviews but this one here takes the cake. Ive visited this store before and the cook cant speak and always have a nasty look on her face Ill make sure not to go to this store again. Its the neighborhood drug user store.
