Lisa Rosen did a beautiful job restoring two large paintings made by my friend, the great Indian artist Sumatimohan Van. In fact, with respect to one of these paintings, Lisa went beyond what I consider restoration and into the realm of artistic co-creation. I asked her to remove a kind of silver sheen on the faces of two of the women in the painting, a sheen that the artist himself deemed to be the result of a failed experiment, and Lisa was able to do that in a way I would describe as magical. The two restored faces are now perfectly harmonious with the rest of the painting. Thank you so much, Lisa!
