I cant believe I didnt know there was a Barnes & Nobles in Times Square & 3 floors none the less!! Awesome selection, plenty of room to take your time choosing books, employees are doing a great job post covid here, it wasnt too crowded and because its a chain even though its Times Square NYC the prices were the same as a Barnes and Nobles in a more quiet area. Theres a really nice/about 12 tables, cafe area (Starbucks) to get a pastry/coffee. They were blasting the AC in there and I was there on a weekend holiday and it wasnt too crowded!!!

I love Barnes & Noble. So many options and so we’ll distributed across the store. They have a great Starbucks café upstairs and a restroom, which always comes handy after walking around Manhattan for so long.

Its a multi level store that has something for everyone. It has a childrens section and it has active register checkout stations on different floors. The staff is friendly and competent. I love the little reading nooks where you can sit and browse a book or you can just stand or sit in a little corner to read and nobody bothers you. I would say they have a sorted collection on books, CDs and even vinyl. I purchased poetry, historical military tactics and classic literature books on my visit. It was my first time there because I usually go to union sq but this one was good. I will be going back.

If youre a book lover, get the membership! Its annual and inexpensive. Also you get discounts on the Starbucks inside.They have amazing books selection and the arts and crafts are soooooo beautiful!

I love sitting and reading at this bookstore. Its a great location, right in Midtown. Clean and quiet most times. It can get crowded certain times of the day and weekends of course..

I absolutely love B&N!. Im so sad that the one that used to be in Queens is long gone. Its a place you can go to and spend hours in looking for that great book! I was so happy to find a book Ive wanted to read, The Plot!! 💕💕💕💕

Not friendly or welcoming. I overheard a worker make snide remarks about people not knowing their ABC that’s not nice. Also the experience at the cashier wasn’t too respectful very condescending when I said no longer wanted the book nor offered me a bag or a greeting. When I said thanks have a nice day I was ignored Normally I would just brush it off but I noticed the cashier only behaved this way with me and other people of color. Reconsider retraining your employees on how to be respectful and maybe your customers would be glad to buy books there instead of Amazon. Not a good look if your company is going out of business.

Busy location, but far from uncomfortable. Great books! Found everything I was looking for. Staff very knowledgeable and helpful.

Friendly, helpful staff. They always have the book I need and many that I want and even more that I didnt even know I had to have! Its sometimes a little painful for my checking account, but totally worth it. I love giving books as gifts and these guys always have something perfect.

Nothing like browsing books in person at a physical book store. Great selection and theyll get you anything they dont have in stock.Second floor AC seemed to not be working, but not a big deal.

The worst Barnes and Noble in NYC. The book selection isn’t big, the store is small, some of the workers are rude. If you only need a bathroom, there’s better ones a couple of blocks away. Also very strict with their cafe seating even when you are a customer. They will force people away, but don’t bother people with laptops out even when they aren’t cafe customers? First and last time I will visit this location. The Union Square and Upper West Side locations are the best!

The selection was decent. Yet a manager there was less than friendly. First, I asked him where I could find the Art of War. He responded with an attitude. Also, the same person ended up coming to the register, because the single cashier was overwhelmed. O then explained I would be placing the copy of the book I had taken before him because I had to go. The line was not moving. He replied very snark and seemed not to like to deal with customers of color.

Lovely place for book lovers. Huge collection of books. One can get lost here for hours. Nice small cafe adds attraction for this amazing place.

Theyve spaced out the 1st floor so its not as cluttered as it used to be, and the books are well organized. Theyve added to their manga section with newer issues and some off beat titles (as opposed to just the most popular ones). The staff was helpful when it came to ordering a book to the store.

Really good bookstore I loved it! I got four books. There is a great variety of books and games! I was looking for some Japanese Learning textbooks but didn’t find any😅 Hope to see them next time I come!

This is a good Barnes and Noble, albeit a little small. The cafe part feels a little exposed and cramped, but otherwise its wonderful. 8/10.

Barnes and Noble is just awesome.. Clean stores with humble staffs.. wide variety of genres.. good collections.. very peaceful and calm.. feels so good being there.. Take your time off and visit the store.. the feeling of visiting a store and reading it there is 200 times better than getting something on amazon and reading at home..

Theres not much to comment about Barnes and nobles, it is a classic book store that has exactly what you need and a lot of variety when it comes to what you wantThis place is huge though :O I mainly came here to look at the manga selection, which is a lot

Wonderful to be able to visit a bookstore and browse actual books. My visit was planned around buying a particular manga book which I am happy to report this Barnes & Noble‘s had in stock. The store also had a very nice café area with great treats and good coffee. Perfect spot for a brief break with appropriate social distancing.The area in which the store can be found is a great location to visit for a wide variety of shops.I always enjoy my visit to this part of New York City.

RUDE my daughter loves books always purchases from Barnes and noble even has a membership as she looked the store I figured I’d wait at the cafe she loves to go through each section. I was told I had to get up unless I paid for something at the cafe. We left the stack of books she wanted here!

They have a B&N Starbucks Cafe, pretty clean and follow COVID protocols.

This particular Barnes and Noble presents all the new releases in a cogent way on the first floor.

The atmosphere at this location is so-so. I would like to see this become more of a boutique style store. Add a cozy reading area, print services nook, and/or a listening preview feature. The store is very large and could accommodate these enhancements.

Place seemed kind of dead, no more discounted overstock books, funko pops, etc. Almost everyone with a facemask on, even though you dont need it if youve been vaccinated. Neither this store or the store where I live are very interesting anymore.

Being able to shop for books during lunch break at work is bliss. 2 floors of books arranged and stacked in esthetically pleasing way. Bonus- Starbucks on 2nd floor.

Great multi-level bookstore with a great location!

Amazing store! It had everything I was looking for and stuff I didnt know existed. Great Harry Potter memorabilia section. They also have a blind date section where they wrap up books and just give brief descriptions. Its a fantastic way not to judge a book by its cover.

Love the feeling of the bookstore. These are the last of the legends that are still trying to stay open.

I didnt even realize that bookstores still existed!! I love the large selection that makes this store. Three floors of bound experiences. The place was rammed but the lines moved fast, not a bother at all. They even had an extensive magazine section! When was the last time that you saw a large magazine section? The top floor had a Starbucks and DVD collections. Along with the books, they also had a pretty decent vinyl section along with record players. Still a great place to get lost in the world of books.

The staff here is really sweet! They have an amazing selection of books and prices are reasonable.

Great book shop with a big variety of things. Downstairs you will find many books on healty eating, personal development, psychology and language learning, in the first floor there are biographies, history and more, while upstairs theres a Spanish section and a cafe that sells Starbucks products. Great place to go!

Huge but calm and leaceful place to read a book.There is a starbucks that do not accept starbucks card so you can grab a coffee and some cookies with book.Smell from coffee can make you relaxed.From Best sellers to out-dated books, you can find all books you want.Near here, there is a Bryan Park you can enjoy ice-skating after reading:)

Visiting NY & ordered book online to be pick up at this location. Easy & quick. Browsed more books & it seems they have more manga books than our usual location at different state.

Sadly came at the last minute. I thought it would be open according to the hours on Google but due to covid closes at 6:30 pm.

It was really nice! I love how big it was and it had so many different genres that any person would love!

Barnes and Noble on 5th Ave is quiet, nice and warm. You can easily lose track of time here. The staff is nice and the store has a lot to offer. One thing that thus Barnes and Nobles lacks is a good recommendation list like its peers. Other than that, its flawless.

Awesome three stories! Only problem is theres no place to sit except on the third floor in the Cafe. Went down to the third floor with my kids and we were all sitting on the floor reading books. 📖😂📚

The castle of knowledge in fifth avenue. Toys for kids, books, games and DVDs for all ages and all tastes. A great staff answering all your questions. Warning: once inside, you forget fifth avenue, you forget New York and you may even forget the time !

Gentle employees, great variety of books

After coming so many times, it became my favorite bookstore. I bought 3 books the staff recommended which I’m happy with.The environment is clean, friendly customer service and know what they are doing. The staff are so friendly from the moment that you walk into the store. They have knowledge of their books. Also, there’s always people going in and out and the line can get long but the cashiers work as efficiently as they can. They deserve a 5 star period.

The store has three floors for you to explore, all easily accessible. Very clean and well-organized. Staff was helpful. No restrooms available at this one. Looks like the cafe is currently open.

I had a very pleasant experience at this location. The staff was helpful & kind to me. I got a print out of all the books I was looking to purchase and they were all available in good condition to buy as well. I like the upper level, where I found additional accessories like erasable highlighters, page sticky markers and a journal stencil.

So many books so little time. Walked a couple of block in the rain just to get here and it was worth it. Huge selection of books as well as LPs and Cds on the music section on the 2nd floor. There is a Starbucks for your mandatory coffee break while browsing through the books. Call me old fashion but I still prefer holding a book and flipping through the pages over digital books. I could like spend hours here given the time. Thanks Barnes & Noble for the experience.

They have any book you ever wanted and for the ones they dont have you can just request it. All I have to do is ask for the date and the price.Its quite a walk but its a walk worth having.
