We just ordered these for a colleagues birthday and...... my goodness. Worth $$$$$ and DELICIOUS. The dough is so airy and moist and flavorful. They are not dry, they are fresh and tasty and addictive... thick dough, proportionate icing to the bread. Overall, absolutely delicious, I highly recommend. I absolutely will be going back time and time again!
I asked for 3 of whatever doughnuts were most freshly made, and was given strawberry shortcake, passion fruit, and lemon poppy. The base donut for each seemed identical, the difference being the glaze and whatever goes into the glaze. They were massive and satisfyingly soft. I liked the strawberry shortcake most.I liked these more than those I had at Doughnut Plant, less than those I had at Doughnut Project.
Great variety of doughnuts but the price for 1 doughnut is $4.50 which is a lot compared to other places. The place was very clean and empty but the AC made it very cold. The doughnuts tasted great and they also have cold brew and iced latte. I would recommend going here to try a new type of doughnut.
Great donuts if you are a huge fan of thick icing. Recently stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. Got 4 donuts and they were a slight upgrade from Dunkin donuts - better dough, but similar level of sweetness and flavor. For me, their icing was too sweet, but it would be perfect if you need some sugar rush in the morning.
*Drools* Bruhhhh the best donuts in NYC!They are soo big fluffy & fresh ! && they had great vegan options to. The older woman who serviced me was a sweet heart as well
Flavors are delicious, but the donuts are so large that the ratio of glaze to dough feels a little off. Overall tasty!
Went shortly after opening on a Wednesday and it was pretty empty but the donuts were ready which was nice to see. I got 3 - hibiscus, dulce de leche, and Nutella filled. Those are in order of how I liked them. The first two were pretty good but the Nutella one I wasnβt a fan of. Good spot to check out if you want gourmet donuts.
Outstanding donuts. They are large, solid and substantial. Each donut I tried was absolutely and precisely, perfectly shaped and cooked. They have vegan varieties, which today included cinnamon sugar, hibiscus and regular glazed. I bought each one, and thought each one was delicious, however the hibiscus was phenomenal. The hibiscus glaze has a little tartness to it. We also got the non-vegan smores, lemon blueberry, and another berry flavor. I didnt try it, but my partner said they were very good. The smores was his favorite, he said it tasted like a black and white cookie. Ice coffee was great and they have non-dairy milk. They also have a dog friendly outside bench and table area to eat.
I love a good donut. These are not good. They are dry and heavy.
Very delicious flavors. The brioche dough is dense and cakey giving a full and satisfying bite. Doughnuts are sold as single, packs of 4, 6, or 12. The doughnuts are $4.50 no matter how many you buy. They take cash or credit. The staff was very kind and patient. The establishment took the covid restrictions very seriously. They wide variety of hot and cold drinks, and make breakfast sandwiches on the weekends. 03/02/2021
Best doughnut I have had, always my favorite, blood orange and dulce de leche
Favorite doughnut store! There used to be another opening in the midtown close to my office. I have to travel down after that place closed years ago. That explains how much I love these donuts! dulce de leche and cafe au lait are the best!
This place absolutely saved me today during my prep for my NPC show, my coach allowed me to have 2 glazed donuts so where else would I go while in NYC to get some of the biggest fluffiest donuts Ive seen on social mediaπ―π© this place has been on my list for so long just because of the sheer quality of the products The fact that they make small batches to ensure freshness. I ended up getting 2 vegan glazed donuts with a small cup of gourmet coffee, My daughter got a regular donut & my girlfriend got a honey apple glazed donut ππ€― It did not disappoint The glaze was something that was extremely unique It wasnt heavy dense and sticky it was light sweet slightly flaky but it was moist It was just perfect....The way it melted in your mouth not your hands lol fluffy flaky-ish texture of the donut was soft airy but firm with a tender crisp. I absolutely cannot wait to come back after my show ππͺ & terrorize the rest of what this little piece of sugar heaven has to offer... Also did I mention they have a wide variety of vegan options too π±π
Really good fruit flavor doughnuts! I was expecting filled ones but these are only flavor glazed but still pretty amazing.
Got to try one of their vegan glazed at Smorgasbord. I havenβt had many vegan doughnuts but this was the best so far. Soft, pillowy, and quite large. I thoroughly enjoyed eating it. I will definitely come back and try flavors if Iβm ever in town.
I ordered online and had 6 doughnuts shipped to Michigan. They were yummy. Packaged well and arrived timely. Cafe au Lait and Vanilla were my favorite. They only lasted 1 day though by day 2 they were dry, even after I followed instructions on storing. I will definitely order again and eat them all in one day!
I got the coconut donut and it was really good! Iβm used to one of two donuts. Cakey and dense or lighter than air and you inhale it like there wasnβt even a donut. Somehow these guys have got the ratio down. The donut was light and not too dense without it seeming like thereβs nothing to it. The coconut part of this donut was also great! I love how the coconut flakes were not sweetened and it was just the glaze underneath it that carried the sugar. It was a nicely balanced donut and I really loved it!
Definitely some BIG donuts here! The name of the place gives it away. Many different options, with great seasonal flavors. The dough is soft and chewy.Itβs take out only. There is a dirty bench outside the store that you can sit on. No bathrooms.Itβs not in a great neighborhood, so be in and out.Overall I would recommend grabbing some donuts here.
Great donuts with a variety of unique flavor options. Not as sweet as I would have imagined which was a good thing. Wish we had gone earlier in the day when theyβre fresh out of the ovens.
Came here after seeing all the good reviews online. Were the doughuts good? Yes, no doubt. Fluffly and big in size. $4.50 good a piece? I am still not sure. Ill let you be the judge. I tried their hibiscus doughnut and I wasnt able to taste the hibuscus. The coconut doughnut was good but I wished it had chunkier flakes.
My favorite donuts in the city. Use to swear by the donut pub(although they are 24 hours so they still have a place in my heart) but these donuts are just so good. I have tried a few flavors but my favorite have to be the peanut butter lovers
Big fan of this place! Came in after 12 PM on a Sunday, which meant that they had the apple jam donuts. Both the lemon poppyseed and apple jam donuts were really good! There wasnβt a line so the service was quick, but it was slightly impersonal. On a brighter note, I thought that the ambiance of the store was pretty cozy which was nice.
9.30.17 - Stopped in for a sweet snack and we had the Mocha Caramel and nectarine dough seed, both were very good. What I like most is that each donut is overly sweet. The dough itself is both fluffy and chewy. There are about 3 high chairs and 10 chairs surrounding one large table. Theres self-serve water from a spigot, too.***Initial review***Large and over indulgent donuts, some of which are definitely worth it.
Definitely go here. get the donuts and eat them right away. they make them fresh, the toppings are yummy...the dough is tasty even though so bad for you, fried and oily π€£dont leave them for later...the dough dries up and oil settles...loses its wonderful tasteyou can also see them in the making...glass wall to kitchen
Outstandingly tasty, light and sweet traditional ring doughnuts. The bakery is constantly running special doughnuts for all sorts of occasions which really adds to their uniqueness. There is space to sit down inside and take your time enjoying the delicious treats. They also sell small doughnut holes (balls of dough) which adds just enough extra treat.Favourites are the salted chocolate caramel, hibiscus, chocolate cocoa nibs and blood orange (new flavour).Staff are friendly and welcoming.Expect to pay $4.50 per doughnut, but they also sell boxes of 4/6 and 12.
One of the best doughnut spots you can go to in Brooklyn. We should know because we travel all around Brooklyn to find stuff just like this.Their selection is small (then again maybe I feel this way because we go there pretty often and the same choices are available) but delicious. Give something that you wouldnt ordinarily get a try. Im not a fan of chocolate but theirs taste great!Store is small but so what! The line can be long but also so what π Best times to go is during the day or like a lazy Sunday afternoon. You can see them making the donuts on site.Give them a shot!
Got the nutella doughnutIt was okay, I enjoyed the nutella filling but didnt love the texture of the bottom doughy part. The cashier was friendlyThereβs a large table in the center which seats about 10-12 and 3 higher up barstool style spots by the windowFor $4.50 a doughnut, Iβm not enticed to go back.
Always always always a hit! All flavors are amazing.
Really delicious, gigantic fresh donuts. I got βpeanut butter loversβ and I only wish it had a bit more pb flavor. Will definitely come back again!
BEST DOUGHNUTS EVER! No exaggeration at all. What makes them the best ever, you ask? It is the consistency of the soft fluffy dough thats baked just to the right amount. And now for the best part, the sweetness of the topping is not overwhelming or under. It is much less sweet than Krispy Kreme for comparison. Tried like 7,8 different ones to get the taste, and they were all amazing. My favorite was the Nutella. Its $2+ a piece and Id say its worth the price. Enjoy your sweet tooths!
These were really good. At recommendation from one of the workers, I got mango coconut and Nutella. All doughnuts have the same base with different add ons like frosting or sugar. Both are easily super delicious and thick. I did not expect them to be that big and they both filled me up. Itβs practically lunch and dinner ha. For the size, price is fine in my opinion. I enjoyed the mango coconut the most. If I find the time to come back, I would try hibiscus or dulche de leche
So I found this place from YouTube so I decided to go try this place out drove here all the way from queens. Before I left my house I wrote down a bunch of the donuts I wanted to try, when I got there I was standing on a decently sized line to get in because max capacity for the store is 2 people. When I got it I realized all the donuts I planned to get were missing and not anymore made they only had Nutella, peanut butter and a strawberry jelly dount I got those 3 flavors and it cost 27 for a dozen that I got so 4.50 each. That is reasonable price, when I got home and tried the donuts out they were actually really good best donuts I had just wish they had the flavors I had, I recommend this place just come early if you wanna get the flavors you want. They accept cash and card.
The best donuts Ive ever had in my life. The poppy seed lemon was fantastic and today I tried the passionfruit glazed. Ugh so many options.
Doughnuts Are Huge! Almost twice the size of a Dunkin Doughtnut or a Krispy Kreme Doughnut. But very tasty and colorful. You can see them making the doughnuts in the back or sit in front of the window and people watch, while you eat and enjoy your tasty treats :)
Wonderful doughnuts! Very chewy and flavorful.
Some of the best donuts I have ever had
Love their donuts. Cheesecake is my favoriteeeeee
One of my favorite places in the city to get a doughnut I randomly walked in one day and was happily surprised with how good it was
Glazed Donut Holes π€€ That Boston Creme Donut π Cheesecake Donut π These donuts are on the same level as Doughnut Plant and The Doughnut Project. The top 3 artisan donut shops in the city!
These donuts are more like cakes with a hole in the middle, YUM! So yummy and the flavors are unique and fun. @traveleen_gurl
If youre looking for soft fluffly donuts youre in the right direction. And they are vegan friendly!!! YUM π
Big fluffy donuts. I love this place! Ive only gone here once but ever since I have gone I always dream about going back. I am not being dramatic. These donuts are absolutely delicious. I went here after a swimming class because I heard good things about it. Maybe it was because I was super hungry but it tasted like heaven. I brought home 2 more boxes for my family and we cut up the huge donuts to have a taste of each one of them. Im a huge sweet tooth. In the morning there was a section left of each donut. I finished every single section and didnt leave any crumbs. It tasted just as good as it tasted the day before. So they do really taste like heaven. I got these donuts a while ago but still remember them. I dont really remember the ones I got. The only ones I remember getting was the pink one with the black, almost dried up piece of flower on it? I also remember getting the lemon poppy and the chocolate caramel one or something?I dont know. I can tell you truthfully that this isnt just the best donut place in manhattan but the best donut place in NY
Excellent. So good. Give it a try, you wonβt be disappointed.
This donut spot challenges the donut status quo, both in flavor combinations and sizes. Huge donuts with tasty toppings such as lemon poppy and hibiscus line the shelves, and on most weekends the fast-moving line is out the door. They transport their donuts to some local bake shops, but the freshest ones are sold here!
They got one of the best selection and the prices are so reasonable. And the service staff are the best!
Love this place! The doughnuts here are out of this world! Plus theyre really big! You cant go wrong when you come here, but hibiscus (the one with red frosting and a black dried flower) is a personal favorite. Lemon poppy and the chocolate or caramel doughnuts are delicious too. I like to get a few and then cut them up so everyone can try anything that they would like. The flavors are so original and the plating/decorating is just so cute! Love, love, love it here and cant wait to come again.
Disappointing, is one of those places that when you try it you do not know how it can be in the market, (maybe I am very demanding), but as someones say a picture is worth a thousand words, i try 4 different and here is my evaluation of each one ;Chocolate Nib: dry and rough dough, the extremely sweet and poor quality chocolate, seems and taste like those cheap ones that are sold in the supermarket to cover cupcakes.Dulce de leche: dry and rough dough, they pretend to sell only the sweet because of dulce de leche in it nothing.Coconut: dry and rough dough, artificial flavor (and yes i have eaten a lot of natural coconut to know when something has the taste of artificial coconut).Nutella: dry and rough dough, and nutella where? Whats inside? I have also eaten a lot of nutella, and that is a mixture of a super sweet and unpleasant cheap chocolate. And the worst of all, VERY GREASY, the fact that they are fried does not justify what you see in the pic, summarizing why pay 3.85 ( each ) for a donut that the quality is worse than the dunkin donuts?
Love this place, love the doughnuts! Got the chance to get some donut holes fresh out of the oven!!!! Omg! Lol the staff is always super helpful and very patient and my 3 year old can be very demanding. I also enjoy catching them some of the food festivals all over. They are sweet, big and reasonably priced. One of my favorite spots for breakfast, snacks, or just something sweet.
Throughout NYC, mainly at coffee shops, I have seen delectable doughnuts from Dough. I always enjoyed their doughnuts, large, fluffy and tasty. I hear it could be love or hate situation with their doughnuts, and in my case, I vote love! They had one large communal table, and then a few counter seats. Well, less than a few counter seats, as one of them was broken, and left on the groundβ¦As it was late in the evening, they sold out on some items already, but still had a good varieties to choose from. They make their doughnuts handmade, and in small batches throughout the day, so that they are fresh no matter what time you get there.Since their doughnuts are large, we decided to get just two to share. We got CafΓ© au Lait and Chocolate Peppermint Cream. They are large and fluffy, a bit chewy in a good way. Some say they are pricey, but have you seen the size of these doughnuts??? They are dense yet not too heavy, sweet without being too sweet, such a delight! So my love affair continues...
The donuts are huge and delicious. The Coffee was on point also. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.
I mean serious dough... lol Puns & Doughnuts!Best doughnut this side of town. Im glad Ive had you.
These donuts are so fluffy and delicious!! The passionfruit donut made my mouth explode it was so good.
Not as good as I expected. Dough was underproved and collapsed when you poked it. The flavors were barely different from each other.
One of the best doughnut places in NYC ever!! They have many kinds of delicious doughnuts and very special milk and yogurt. Strongly suggested!!
Delicious selection of donuts and glad they offer beverage options to complement them. Location was good and service was fast... Only had to wait 5 minutes
$18 for four donuts. yikes.
These are by far the best doughnuts Ive ever had. Absolutely worth every penny.
These doughnuts are delicious, decadent and dynamite!!! The space has an old school feel and the staff are incredibly friendly. These doughnuts are ginormous!!!
You can buy these donuts all around Brooklyn and Manhattan but I would highly recommend visiting the store in person. Dough has some of the most amazing and eclectic donuts that Ive ever seen. I would highly recommend the Hibiscus, Nutella or Lemon Poppyseed doughnut.
The best doughnuts in nyc. Absolutely amazing, so much better than any other doughnuts
Good and unique flavors like passion fruit, hibiscus etc. but the quality of the donut is just ok.
Bready donuts. But very good. A little expensive, but it is Midtown. A good atmosphere.
They make the best donuts here and I would recommend you try them out if youre in the area. And they have a great selection too and buy enough for the whole family.
Yummy in my tummy best donut shop around
Very friendly staff and donuts that are the way the should be-- huge, fresh, and delicious. About as far from mass-produced (DD) as it gets. Had a Boston creme that was filled to the brim and a chocolate-dipped that had a slight outer crunch surrounding a fresh cake interior. A new go-to when Im visiting NYC!
Ordered online and picked up in 10 minsππ»
Dough donuts is great, not just because the donuts are amazing, not just because they donate extra donuts to local food pantries, but because they are thoughtful enough to individually package the donuts, making distributing the donated donuts a breeze. Thank you Dough for being such a great community supporter!!
We all the great taste of Dough doughnuts. Today I was served by a very kind, professional and true human being - Fatim. She absolutely made my daughterβs birthday! People like her are the perfect example of who should work in food industry. Great customer service!
Only 4 stars instead of 5 simply because I wish they had more vegan options. They hashtag vegan a lot on instagram but only have 2 vegan donut varieties. That said, the dough itself is delicious, tastes like its very lightly spiced with cinnamon and some other stuff, and the glaze is tasty too. Also great, quick service in the shop. Theyre doing a good job with enforcing social distancing too.
I normally dont like tangy stuff, but the hibiscus donut has a small amount of tang in it, topped by a dried hibiscus petal. Its so good!
