When it was time to sell a Rolex watch I no longer used, I did my homework and visited a few shops in the Diamond District. I ended up selling my watch to Romanov because they offered me the best price and service. This was not the case with the other shops I tried. Some were hard to find or no one was available when I knocked on the door. Others were behind thick glass windows in offices down long hallways - not very friendly. Others were simply rude.The staff at Romanov was the exact opposite. Their office is easy to get to and busy with activity. The staff at the front desk was very polite, offered me water or coffee and answered questions. After a brief wait, I met the owner in his office where he took the time to answer my questions, discuss my options (sell vs. loan) and made me an offer. I accepted and left with cash feeling positive about the whole experience. Since then, I have returned to sell gold jewelry and other valuables I no longer need.My advice - do your homework before you go searching around the city. If you just hit the streets of the Diamond District, plenty of people will try to lure you into their shops. Some are better than others. Go with the ones youve researched.

Walking in I was extremely nervous! I had no idea what was required of me to sell my gold, diamond rings, and or the value. Employee there explained and took the time to educate me on the value of my belongings. I truly appreciate the time spent and the wonderful customer service from this business. I never write reviews however I had to with Romanov Buyers. Whatever you need I am sure you will be very happy. They are very personable and really do try to accommodate your needs to the best of their ability. I have never been so pleased with a business of this sort. I am truly grateful for all their help. There are too many good and not so great gold and silver guys on 47ST, however Romanov was not only good to me, but great on his price and beyond on customer satification. I don’t want to give away too much of a good deal on Google, but Jesus. I was grateful for finding this place after running up and down the diamond district for a deal all day.

Came in as I lost the back of my wristwatch - foreign model, difficult to find. They got s matching back, the job was done well and quick at a fair price.

Dont trust their words, they told me that they will refund the return fees for glasses I bought but they do not and they ignore my messages. I try to contact this company several times but they dont care about customers who are not satisfied. I bought new sunglasses but came with a lot of scratches.

I recently had occasion to clean out a few drawers and found some old jewelry. I found Romanov Buyers & Liberty Loans to be incredibly patient and professional. What I liked best was how Roni (the owner) took his time to explain (and show me) how he assessed the value of the pieces I was interested in selling. Among the various pieces I had sold him a custom ring. Roni went the extra mile for me: when I had gotten home about 20 minutes later, my wife had decided that the ring had sentimental value; with one phone call, Roni converted the sale into a loan (at good rates for the appraisal, the amount loaned and the terms). He also serves a nice cup of esspresso!

I chanced upon Romanov Buyers, asked if they did jewelry repair for small, non-precious things, and I was told yes. I had silver earrings that needed a new catch for its prong closure, and broken chain on a vintage costume necklace. They said yes, quoted the price, said 30 mins. It was done in exactly 30 mins, and fixed beautifully. This was a particularly gratifying find.
