Dr.Patel is going over my prescription and the routine questions in the exam room, then she leads me to the contact fitting area to wash my hands. After I wash my hands and sit down the tech hands me my contacts to put in. As soon as I put the contacts in my eyes they were very uncomfortable. I sat back in the exam room and told Dr.Patel that the contacts are uncomfortable. She reiterates that it is the same brand and size that I’ve been wearing. I then replied “yes, but it feels uncomfortable. It feels like when you’ve been wearing old contacts for a month and it might have a tear in them.” She immediately said “those contacts are not old. I can assure you that they are new.” She then instructs me to rinse them with solution back at the contact fitting area. She escorted me to the fitting area and made a snide remark to the tech saying “she says these contacts are old but i told her they are definitely new. We wouldn’t have her put in old contacts” and she began laughing. I immediately replied to her “I said it FELT like I was wearing old contacts. I never said they were old, but it is giving me the sensation of torn old contacts.” Dr.Patel proceeds to tell the tech that I am instructed to rinse the contacts and she walks away. While I am sitting down rinsing the contacts with the solution the tech gasps. The tech says “I am so sorry. I gave you the wrong base curve. That is why the contacts feel uncomfortable.” The tech gave me the right contact prescription and it immediately felt better when I put them in. Then the tech escorted me back into the exam room and Dr.Patel asked me how they felt. I told her that they felt great because it is my actual base curve, and that the tech previously gave me the wrong base curve. She laughed and said “yea, I wouldn’t be able to see that in the exam.” I was appalled. She didn’t take any ownership for her technician error or how it made me feel. Nor apologize for mocking me to the technician.Dr.Patel clearly lacks medical knowledge if she can not accurately decipher what symptoms her patients are expressing. She lacks the ability to understand a comparison and analyze what is being said. Not only does she need to brush-up on her comprehension skills, but also on her bedside mannerisms. I am baffled how someone with over 13 years of experience in this field does not know how to conduct themselves professionally around patients, or understand the importance of being aware of your tone and what you say around patients. To feel like you are not being heard because your provider has selective hearing is very disheartening. Then to turn around and mock her patients for her own personal asumesument is heartbreak that I wouldn’t wish on anybody. It speaks volumes of Dr.Patel’s character and how Simon Eye associate is being reflected as a company. Especially coming from someone who works in the medical field, her behavior and professionalism needs some serious coaching. I wouldn’t even recommend Dr.Patel to my dog.

I do not recommend this location. Female eye glasses/contacts technician is very rude and unprofessional in the way she speaks to patients. I also do not recommend purchasing Ray Bans sunglasses from any Simon Eye location because it will not have the Ray Bans logo on them and I was not informed of that. Mine looked like they came off of a shelf at Five Below. Will not be returning to this location

Wasnt sure what to expect. This was a very pleasant surprise. Im a new patient and filled out the forms online. I checked in, my eyes were dilated and picked out my new glasses......all within an hour. The service here is excellent and the staff are personable.

I cannot express how welcoming and professional Dr. Muscelli and the staff are at this location. This is my new permanent home for my eye care moving forward. No up selling. They took time with me and answered all of my many questions. Also, they explained my insurance benefits in a straight forward way so I was able to make the most of my resources. In 15 years of wearing glasses and contacts this is the most stratified I have been with my care.

I absolutely love this office, staff is kind and Dr. Muscelli is amazing! She is not only kind but very thorough with the eye exam. I love this office and Dr. Muscelli I refuse to visit any other site or go to any other doctor!! If you dont go here you should! I love this location. It is convenient for me, but the best part is the staff. I see Dr. Winchell, who is very personable and easy to feel comfortable with. She is also efficient, and she has never made me wait past my appointment time. Holly, the Optometrist, is amazing. She is not only good at picking out glasses for your looks, but gets to know you and what suits your personality, as well. She has my husband and me both figured out pretty well, and always helps us find our favorite frames! She is also great at remembering special concerns and needs. I need my lenses to always have the same base curve so I dont get headaches. She is the one who first helped me figure out what the problem was, and she has never forgotten since then to order the exact same base curve. I highly recommend this office!

Now he can literally SEE after you so graciously helped us after he left his toiletry bag at a hotel in Philly with his contacts in it! You went above and beyond what I would ever have expected! He walked over from the University of Delaware with one of his high school college counselors and he was set up! Knowing there is such kind people out in this sometimes questionable world, warms my heart and makes this Florida momma so so happy! Thank you Simon Eye Associates and THANK YOU DEJAH! You are a gem! Great place. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The Doctor is extremely kind and filled me in on everything she was doing. This is the type of place to recommend!

Recently relocated jobs to DE and had to find a new eye doctor. Glad I was referred here. The place was clean, had a huge selection of frames and contacts, and the staffers and Dr. were all friendly. To top if off, I didnt have to wait at all; they were incredibly fast and efficient. Definitely worth checking out.

I’m a patient at the Newark office. I just wanted to inform you of the excellent and friendly service I received from your staff. Dr. Senall and tech Sierra were exceptional. Dr. Miselli did my glasses 6 months back and she was great too. Years ago I had paid for contact lenses with other companies and had such a hard time with them that I felt like I was condemned to wearing glasses forever. These people have completely changed my opinion of contact lenses. I have been in twice for fittings and the attention to detail and care they take to make sure I have the right pair is amazing. Thanks to them again. Also, the receptionist Stephanie who is always there each time I come in. I will highly recommend Simon Eye!!!!

I had a not so good experience with one of the employees who was less than helpful, but was pleased the next day to receive a phone call from the head optometrist who apologized profusely and offered to do anything to make me a happy customer. The rest of the staff was also very kind and helpful.

These guys are great, friendly, speak in laymans terms and are very accommodating. Very good experiences here.

The ladies at the Newark office are AMAZING!!! Truly caring professionals and fun individuals! They are personable and friendly. No high pressure. No plastic personalities. My sons nearsightedness, the appointment of Newark Eye Center had to wait for more than a month, and did not respond to Simon Eyes multiple appointment emails, so I had to make a temporary appointment. I gave my eyesight test the same day, I bought insurance for my child, they did not accept it, and the cost of optometry was $99.
