I had hope.I do most of my own maintenance work, but farm out the items it makes sense to farm out. After purchasing a used Chevy truck, I thought perhaps Id try building a relationship with a local dealer. All went well for the first couple of visits, until, at the most recent visit, the service advisor told me The tech recommended you change your air filter and cabin air filter. I thought about pushing the matter, but didnt. For one thing, neither of those are easily accessible, but more importantly, I changed them recently MYSELF, so I know their condition (which I verified at home). So:This is an old trick; these guys get paid partly on commission. The fact that Id have it pulled on me after mentioning that I do a lot of my own work indicates someone wasnt listening. But the worst part of it is that I now cant trust these folks to give me honest advice. So, down the road, when future service needs to be done, Ill be having to find a new, honest place to go. The last thing they left me with was a service advice document explaining what I should have done... under SEVERE service intervals.

Had such a great experience! Big Dave was so great. He wasn’t pushy or over selling at all. I have always hated looking for cars for that very reason. Great buying experience with Jesse, their internet sales person. I had emailed several other Chevy dealerships for quotes, but it quickly became clear that nobody else had the care nor competence that Jesse immediately displayed. Being able to deal with the basic information gathering and pricing via email and sms before I went to the dealership saved a lot of time and stress. Jesse was able to answer any question that I had about the 2020 Chevy Bolt with depth of knowledge, and they offered me the best price of any dealership in the greater Portland area.Like any traditional car dealership, there will be sales managers who will try to upsell you or slide in extra fees later on in the sales process (its on the customer to do your due diligence in researching what you should or should not pay for). Its just how it is. Even still, everyone at the dealership was friendly and I felt like I was treated fairly by everyone there. I paid a fair price - a great price, really, with all of the discounts GM is currently offering on the 2020 Bolt.One issue I had with the dealership was that their EV charger didnt seem to work properly (or maybe they only have a Level 1 slow charger?). In any case, since GM announced that their entire fleet will be electric by 2035, I imagine that the dealership charging situation will be on point soon.All in all I would definitely refer any friend to Newberg Chevrolet. I normally repair my own vehicles. Due to a back injury I brought my truck to Newberg Chevrolet. I live in Tigard and have several other dealerships much closer to me, but due to past experience with them, I chose Newberg. I had a very pleasant experience here. Communication was excellent, and everything was repaired right, the first time! The only thing was, after spending over $800, i would expect it to be washed.

He asked us up front what kind of payment we would be comfortable with. At first we didnt think we would be able to get the payment low enough for us to accept the deal, but they kept working it and managed it. They offered a great amount for our trade in and we drove away with a car. It was a win win win experience.

I was looking for a certain configuration for a New Chevy Truck and contacted Robert Fritscher, The general Sales Manager. I picked this dealer ship out of all the Chevrolet dealer in a 50 mile radius because of the high customer satisfaction rating they had. I now see that rating is well deserved. We ordered our new truck with exactly what we wanted and waited three months for delivery, but Robert kept us posted weekly on our trucks progress. Great Customer care of keeping us informed. WE had used CreditYes.com to prequalify for a car loan, we were sent to Newburg Chev to see Michael Jeffers, Sales Manager, after discussing what we were looking for Michael said that he would see what we would qualify for before he would show us anything. This is how car buying should be done. My wife and I ordered a 2020 C8 Corvette through Newberg Chevy. Long story short but we ended up cancelling our order with Newberg Chevy and purchasing through a dealer on the East Coast. The reasons for the switch were 100% outside of the control of Newberg Chevy. The East Coast dealer was allotted more 1st allocation spots and therefore was able to get me the car with a first allocation build spot (3-4 months sooner than the spot allocated to Newberg Chevy). For certain reasons getting the car sooner rather than later is what warranted cancelling the order here. That all being said here is why I am writing a 5 star review for them. Robert the new car manager was quite simply the best person I have ever worked with in a car buying process. From start to finish he was ultra communicative, 100% transparent, and just a wonderful and real person. Even when I told him I wanted to cancel my order and move to another dealer he was incredibly helpful and friendly and offered to refund my deposit without me even having to ask. Side note, it was a far better experience than the dealer I ended up buying the car from :( This is why it was worth it for me to go out of my way to make sure the team at Newberg Chevy knew how much I appreciated working with them. My wife and I are now thinking of getting her a new Tahoe just so these guys can have a sale from us! You are a great dealership, keep it up!
