Reid’s has become my go to, must schedule, resource one stop place! I have always wanted to do more around the yard, make the property more lively and decorated. But I was never confident in what material, what machinery or how to physically go about doing so.I was recommended them by my neighbor, who had just bought a yard of 2”+ river rock for a project. I was amazed on how easy and friendly the team was once I went in.Rick is my dude. He always is positive and I formative. They make the renting process easy and convenient. I have now order rocks, mulch, a trencher, and most recent a cement mixer all within a few weeks. And man, the process and pricing could not be more easy.Best team in Oregon for home maintenance and landscaping for me.Ps. They do get busy, so be patient, there team is unbelievably helpful and efficient.

We have used Reid Rentals for many different projects and each time the equipment we rented was clean, well taken care of and worked flawlessly. The people who work there know the equipment, are so helpful and professional. We will be renting again soon.

Thank goodness places like this still exist. Where else can you rent everything from a rake to a forklift from a pleasant, efficient and knowledgeable crew. Also stocks rock, gravel, bark and soil. Delivery available.

This place has so many gadgets you dont even know you need--until you do. We have always come here for trailers of various kinds, but they even had a personal lift that allowed us to hang this chandelier from our 20-foot ceiling. Staff is polite, professional, and exceedingly helpful!

Wow, I’ve never left a google review before but felt it necessary after visiting this business. I’ve never been more disrespected and belittled by people in my life... this “business” treated me as if I’ve never operated machinery before, probably because I’m a girl. They didn’t give me the time of day. Unfortunately for them I grew up on heavy equipment... actually have all my own, just needed a extra backhoe for my son to help out on a project. The extra help seemed worth the money at the time... Until I went to Reid Rental, and they made me realize it’s worth just doing it myself. Please take your business elsewhere.. There’s rental places in Sherwood and McMinnville.

Ive been here several times and have had nothing but great service. Rented a live trap and I also get my propane and fuel here. Customer service is great, Rick at the counter is friendly and knowledgeable. Guys in the yard are prompt and friendly. Definitely will keep coming back.

Just noticed that my review from a year ago was some how deleted by them. Wanted to make sure to update it in that case being that this place has the worst customer service around. I was supposed to pick up the piece of equipment a day before it was finally available the next day mid day. Then on top of that it wasn’t operating correctly and had non stop mechanical issues. They wouldn’t give me a discount what so ever for the garbage they rented to me after the fact or being that I couldn’t even get a full day rental out of it like agreed upon.

I live local to newberg area and reid is my go to place for equipment. Running a construction company we constantly need different equipment for jobs. The guys in the yard are always on top of loading up and the front desk are attentive and polite. We see these guys at least 3 times a week and its always in and out no hassle!

These guys are the go to for rentals and yard supplies. The prices are very competitive and the customer service and employees are fast, friendly and top notch. I do and will recommend them to my friends and family and co workers.

Rented a trencher. Will rent from them again. There people were friendly and efficient. The rental price was in-line. The equipment had a couple of minor issues that need to be corrected.

Unless you want to get fined $500 for their terrible equipment.. go to Sherwood or McMinnville. Jeremy needs to be fired..The guy threatens people. Told me that I better hope I don’t run into him in newberg, otherwise he’s going to hurt me. Embarrassment of a business. The owner Allan should be ashamed at his help.

Ive been renting equipment from these guys at least once a month for over 10 years - back when they used to be located in Sherwood. Same guys, just different location now. We always get reliable equipment and great customer service.

Hands down worst customer service experience of my life to date.7/2017 UPDATE: I went into Reid Rental today and was attacked by the owner in regards to leaving a review. I was told that I was not welcome to rent from them anymore. I asked the owner if he felt he was handling this in a way that would help the situation. He flatly did not care and berated me in front of four or five other customers.This is by FAR the worst customer service experience I have EVER had. It is obvious why this business has a two-star rating on Yelp and a two-star rating on google.Please do not take my word for it... read what other former customers have said about this establishment and then take your business elsewhere.United Rental in Tigard does a good job, there is also a new rental in McMinnville that is fair.

Used Reid about 4 times now and this is second time Ive had pricing problems. Rented a power hand tool recently. Got it back about 20 minutes past the 24 hr. mark and they charged me for another entire day.Moving on.....

These people have no customer service skills. I was held up by and employee who was late to work and was an hour and 40 minuets late to drop off a saw and they charged me and extra day of rental.I was told the saw cost would be $78.00 when I picked it up and they charged me $132.50 for the rental. I explained to them how I was held up and it didnt matter to him at all. I asked Alan to give me a break and he started yelling at me and telling me thats just how it is. Newberg is a small town and most of the people that conduct business here are understanding. Alan is not!!! Salem is not very far away and neither is McMinnville, I will be taking my rental business elsewhere in the future. Yelling at your customer is completely unacceptable!

If I could give less than one star I would. These guys are always quoting different prices depending on the day you call. I cant count how many times Ive gotten a price on the phone and once we go into Reid Rental they charge us more for various extras that should be included in the first place. Rentals are always over priced. Their equipment has broken down during our rentals and they made no effort to make it right. Rent elsewhere if you can!

Rented an excavator over the long holiday weekend (2 day rental) and the track came off the first day. Contract states if the equipment becomes unsafe or in disrepair as a result of normal use, customer agrees to discontinue use and notify dealer who will replace the equipment with similar equipment in good working order. No way to leave them a message and when I did get hold of them on the next scheduled work day, the guy stated I would have to pay the full fee, regardless if the machine was usable. He didnt care if it was under normal use or not. The excavator was being used dig a ditch in a hay field and the tracks were dusty, but not dirty (ie clogged with mud or debris). Let him know I would like to see the history on the machine, and he noted it was about a year old and the tracks had come off multiple times. Go figure... Very poor business practices and lousy customer service. I try to support local businesses, but this one doesnt deserve another chance.

The equipment worked well but they neglected to inform us that there was a cleaning charge. They charge $75 for a 5 minute wash down of muddy tires. Do yourself a favor and rent from someone who cares a little about customer service.

Returned all items rented but was told items were missing and they want to charge me for lost items that I never received. I will never rent there again!

Long story so skip to the end for the summation.I rented a carpet cleaner from Reid on a Friday on the way home from work, paying to rent it for 24 hours. I got home and attempted to use the equipment but it was broken and did not turn on. At this point I had filled the equipment completely with their special cleaning solution that I had purchased when picking up the carpet cleaner. That all needed to be dumped out so I could load the cleaner back into my car. After work the next day (Saturday), I went and got a new cleaner and they were very apologetic that they had given me a broken one. I used the replacement and it worked great. This business is closed on Sunday so I was unable to return it as soon as I was done. The reason I needed a carpet cleaner was because I was moving and needed to deep clean the place I was moving out of. Cut to Monday I am now living in my new place which is about an hour away and as a result of things I had scheduled far earlier, I could not return the carpet cleaner until around 3 p.m. that day. When I made the long drive to return the equipment, the manager tried to charge me for 2 days worth. I explained to him that they rented me defective equipment and that because of their shortcomings a scheduling conflict arose which prevented me from returning the equipment early Monday morning. Which is nonsense anyway. Because Reid screwed me on Friday, the 24 hour rental didnt begin until Saturday evening. They were closed on Sunday. Effectively, I returned the equipment within 24 business hours so there shouldnt be an issue in the first place. Instead, the manager tried to charge me double which is insane because they failed to provide functional equipment. I should have been offered half price, not charged double.tl:dr This place doesnt seem to care about customer service at all and they will try to scam you. If you can help it, take your business elsewhere. Or make them show you that the equipment runs before you leave with the equipment.
