I bought a guitar for my 17-year-old daughter but I needed an amp. I found out about this place from my friend. Went to the store and spoke with a gentleman named Bobby. He gave me a great deal on a amplifier even threw in a strap and cord. The amplifier works great! I definitely recommend this place.

I cannot say enough about NMC. Ive never experienced the kind of care and customer service as I have with them. Bobby went above and beyond to help my daughter when looking for a used drum set. He walked us through what to look for and even offered to look on FB marketplace and CL to make sure we got a quality set. People just dont treat their customers like that anymore. If youre looking to get into anything musical, let this be your first stop.

I drove to Newberg hoping to buy an XLR cable but the place was closed when I got there. According to their shcedule, they should have been opened.I don’t mind seeing a note that says,, “Sorry, we closed early today.” Things happen. I also should have called first. I noticed other reviews with similar issues. For these reasons, I am giving them two stars.

I love the Newberg Music Center. I have done business there for years and theyve always treated me really well. They are skillful, trustworthy,and thoroughly decent people, and I would trust any of my instruments to their care. Its a great shop and a great asset to the community.

Bobby is good people but this store is on a steady decline. Not open for 3 & 4 day stretches even tho the will return in 15 minutes sign stays in the window... Dont return phone calls even though the answering machine says they will.... Too many issues to complete with the hour drive to a real shop or ordering what you need online..... Sad to watch.

Bobby & GD are the 2 most intelligent and go out of your way people you will ever meet. If you need a great guitar for the money that will play right for you, then this is the place for you. They have great attention to detail and have band equipment rentals for school children playing various instruments. They have what you need, they can order items that they dont have. This is your 1 stop shop to get your guitar fixed, and amp repaired. They got you covered bumper to bumper. It also helps that Bobby is as passionate as ever playing in his band. GD has decades of experience making guitars.

Sign said open at 10 guess what not open waited till 11 on bench outside. You guys dropped the ball now buying guitar online sorry you missed a sale. Would love to buy local but if you cant live by what you post in your window cant trust what you sell.

I went in to check out guitars, and had a really informative session with the resident luthier. Also got to play an octave mandolin, a rare and fun treat.

Almost 2 years of rental with them. Poor treatment, rude employees, and when I questioned their charges and previous behavior he began threatening to charge for things we didnt break. They offer credit for rental toward purchase and we felt so mistreated we would rather lose all of that credit than support this store through purchase.

I had the displeasure of conducting business with Newberg Music Center. I brought in my guitar, it had a cracked neck and I discussed my concern about getting it fixed several times while it remained in their care in the few weeks between May 18th and July 18th 2017. My dad and I went in to the store to see what could possibly be taking so long, after being told it would only take two weeks. We were reassured it would be done today by George David Armstrong and owner Bob Turner, available to pick up between 10am and 2pm. The owner of the store, Bob Turner, then showed up an hour and 15 minutes late this morning. The only thing that made me more frustrated than waiting until 11:15 was the less than professional service and the amateur at best workmanship that went into my guitar. It looked like it was just glued and clamped together, and rattle canned to camouflage the horrendous finish and obvious visible cracks that remain. I would advise everyone to steer clear of Newberg Music Center. I feel they didnt deserve the single star they got to post this review.
