Overall I had a really good experience. Had a radiator issue and they fixed it that same day. Fair price and the workers over there are really cool and doesn’t try to sell you what you don’t need.Thanks for the fix.I recommend you stop by here if you have any car troubles.

Great service, prompt updates by phone, and fair pricing for what I needed. I wasnt pressured to purchase or fix more than what was necessary to keep my car running, but I was given a very detailed breakdown of what services/parts I may need in the future. The inspection was very detailed.

Kareem was patient while answering my many questions. I felt confident that his advice was sound. All in all a pleasant experience with all three staff members I interacted with.

I had to make an appointment for the following day since they were fully booked that day. They did a great job on the break fluid flush and probably should have charged me more for the amount of work it was! My break fluid cap was off for months so lots of dirt was in there.

Went for an oil change and tire rotation. Bill got me in and out and even took a look at a heat shield issue I was having at no cost. Great group of professionals who made me feel confident my car was in good hands. Expensive synthetic oil changes but there’s coupons online I was able to use. All and all I’ll be going back when I have an issue.

The customer service was definitely lacking here, even though I was the only person there for an appointment. My true issue though is that the mechanic overinflated every single one of my tires way over where they should be. Thankfully I realized once the TPMS light wouldnt turn off and fixed it myself but seriously? They should know better.

Monro currently has an online coupon advertising $29.99 for conventional oil changes. My wife scheduled the appointment and attempted to drop her Kia sportage off the next morning. From the very start the person at the front desk was rude. My wife said she would be dropping it off and his response was, you know this is only going to take 45mins scarastically. Then he proceded to tell her it would take an excess of over $50 for the oil change as the sportage takes more oil. I have been to this location, at 3334 Berlin Turnpike, Newington, CT 06111 over 15 times and never had to pay that much for an oil change. We had a Kia Sorento and that car takes 5.5 quarts and the sportage takes 5.1. This is not some luxury vehcile and I asked why they would charge me so much more for less oil. His response, I just work here. Not willing to help me or explain at all.

I was having an issue with my brakes so I decided to go to Monro Auto Service and Tire Center on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington. I spoke with Bill, the manager, and he was extremely helpful in explaining what needed to be done to my car. I am very happy with the results. I would not hesitate to use the Monro Service Center again.

I actually trust this place not to f me on prices. Its close to where I live and I havent had a bad experience yet...not like pepboys, dont go there.

They explain Everything that was wrong and everything they did to fix it. Even if it was a temporary fix.

UPDATE: Jose did reach out to us and did fix the problem after hearing we were not pleased. I will commend him for making it right whereas Ray could have cared less.We took my daughters car here 3 times over the last 3 months for the same problem. Each time we were told the cause of the oil leak was something different...$1000 later, the car is still leaking oil. Very displeased with these dishonest people. There used to be another manager there and that is what kept me coming back. Jose and Ray are crooks. Do not take your car here.

I know a fair amount about cars. but some things are just a pain to do. i brought my car in for rear drums and they did a great job. Ray was great to deal with. I would recommend this location to anyone!

Was very happy that they were able to take my truck in right away but it took one week to get back. Never Ordered the muffler so was told they will get that in and will put on asap....well that never happened and months went by. Spoke with store manager multiple times and still never called back or had part. Finally after calling multiple times they got the muffler in....well they didn’t have all the parts once again.....so here I am again For the 3rd time and I’m waiting for hours because they are missing PARTS AGAIN.....I have been nothing but kind and patient through this whole thing but You specialize in mufflers and you don’t have parts for them?? Doesn’t make sense. I don’t recommend this place at all. It’s sad.

I had an excellent Customer Experience at the Newington CT Monro Auto Service and Tire Center. Ray, the Store Manager listened to my repair issues on my 2004 Toyota RAV4. Both Ray and Jose, the Auto Technician completed all work in a very timely method. They explained to me what they did and went through the repair costs with me. They changed my starter but my car started making a scratching noise whenever it started. They recommended fixing a few more things but it didnt fix the problem. I finally brought the car to a dealer where they told me that they had used a malfunctioning starter. I ended up wasting about 1k and a lot of time and they wouldnt even apologize. I highly recommend against this place.

Jose is the only reason I go to Monro muffler due to the exceptional service that he provides for me every time I go there with awesome customer satisfaction. He is an amazing worker and very easy to talk with I only go to him when I bring my car to Monro muffler and Monroe muffler should definitely hire more people like jose because that’s what we need a good honest hard-working people that make satisfied customers like me want to come back every time.

They let the “new guy” do my oil change with no supervision. Never put the cap on and so my entire engine block was covered in oil after driving it the next day. They had to power wash it to clean it because it was so bad. Tried reaching out to management with NO response.

I received the GREATEST service from this location. Matt and Mike were professional and courteous. They went above and beyond to assist me and ensure that I was taken care of within a matter of a couple of hours. I am extremely impressed. It feels good to go somewhere and be treated so well. Horrible experience! Double check the work they do on your vehicle! They fix AC in the car and change oil twice without putting that into the system! They tightened too much drain plug which led to replacing the oil pan cause it was cracked, very pricey! If it happens that you want to go there, check all the paperwork and labor performed!Be safe.

This is by far the best Monro I have been to. I went in because my brakes were making sounds. Matt and Mike both were extremely pleasant and had great manners. They installed all new brake pads for me within a timely manner. One of the best experiences I have had.

I had an unexpected issue with my heat shield and was in Newington so I called Monroe and spoke with Mike. He was able to get me in right away and fix my problem. I have gone over to see Matt at Monro for my last two service issues that I had with my 2016 Subaru Forrester and the service he provided was second to none. I had the catalytic converter cut out of my car in the parking lot of my apartment complex. Matt had fixed my husbands car previously and provided excellent work, super reasonable prices, and exceptional customer service, so I took my car in. I went to Monro this afternoon to get an oil change on my car (it had been way too long.) My car requires synthetic oil and I was fully prepared to pay for the premium oil change service they offer. Unfortunately I didn’t catch his name, but the gentleman helping me was so helpful, and honest. He told me that for the mileage on my car, that package was a bit excessive and I’d be just fine with the regular synthetic oil change package. I really appreciated the honesty when most places would only care about upselling! My car was done in a timely manner, and they were very informative about how I need to make sure I bring in my car sooner, without talking down to me. I had a great experience and from now on this is where I will bring my car for maintenance!

HONEST AND RELIABLE AND DO NOT QUIT ON THE JOB NO MATTER HOW DIFFICULT! I honestly do not write reviews much at all, maybe a few in my life but had to write this one. I saw some customers being rude to them but they handled it all gracefully and with kindness and full information. I had several things done on two different cars recently and they never seem to stop amazing me. I called just a day in advance and they were able to book me right away and took me at the time they said (unlike some other auto repair shops who make you wait hours). I had new tires for install and balance, alignment, steering and front tie rods done and I know my car was going to be challenging with especially the tie rods and steering since it was done incorrectly before by another person. Through the challenges Matt and his team were updating me along the way and at the end didnt charge me a dime of extra time or labor that it took to actually replace my messed up tie rods. My car at the end was driving super smooth and steady and steering was strong and stiff like it had been a long time before..mind you I have a BMW coupe so most other repair shops wouldnt even work on my car. Had brakes done on an older Mercedes by them before and same thing; were awesome, courteous, amazing price, and quick! The quote they gave me at the beginning was the price they sticked to even though they spent a lot longer on labor to get it all done. I was there on a Friday afternoon, and right up until after close they were determined to finish my car because they said they would. They were extremely busy that afternoon but did everything, with updates along the way to me and amazing price at the end. Matt was kindly talking to me about some of the challenges they were experiencing with my car and the service I needed and was apologetic about the time it was taking but didnt charge me a dime extra even if understandably he had to. They were SUPER DETERMINED to finish the job and do it very well! They would not give up or try to up-charge me for additional labor time. They gave me a complete run down of what had to done now, soon, and what didnt have to be done right away; things I could come back for. They were super honest with me and very frank and I appreciate that fully nowadays especially in the auto-repair industry. Their decency and excellent service will not be forgotten and I am definitely switching to them as my full time auto repair go to center. I dont know Matt or the team that well yet as I have only been a couple of times, but I am looking forward to getting to know them and of them getting to know my cars. I am so happy I finally found a good and reliable and honest place 10-15 minutes from home. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED! YOUR VEHICLES WILL BE IN GOOD AND HONEST HANDS! I had made an appointment to have an oil change in my car. I was told they were totally open from noon on, so I made my appointment for noon. I dropped off my car at 11:45 and left to run some errands in the mean time. I had not received a call but it was now 1:25 so I returned to wait the rest of the time expecting it not to take much longer. I return to see my car in the exact place I parked it, and for them to tell me they hadn’t had a chance to bring it in yet. What is the point of making an appointment then? I am a full time student and I also work so I don’t have much free time throughout the day. A call saying you were running late would have been nice. I asked for my keys back, received a half apology, and left. Very disappointed.

I went to this Monro service center without an appointment. They welcomed me and heard my concerns about my car. One member of their team checked the car within 5 minutes. They diagnosed the problem and fixed my muffler in about 45 minutes. They were very straight forward with their communication and estimate to fix the car. Very satisfied with their service.

I come to Monroe for my oil changes. And if other work is suggested and I can afford it I set another appointment to get that work done as well. Great service here and I trust my mechanic Mike Kosswig does a great job, very knowledgeable. Matt at the desk is very polite and nice to speak to. If you need brakes or tires I highly recommend setting an appointment there.

The staff was pretty nice, a little cold but friendly.The price was decent from what I know about oil changes.However, they suggested that I get my brakes done soon, presumably to try and get me to make an appointment for them to replace my brakes. When I brought the car to my normal garage, they said the brakes were fine and not close to needing replacement.

I normally take my Honda Odyessy to the dealership for service, but they charge an outrageous amount of money and getting my brakes done there would surely break the bank. I decided to look into Monro on the Berlin Turnpike in Newington. I read the reviews online and was encouraged by what I saw so I decided to make an appointment. When I walked into the store, a woman was finishing up her payment at the register. She seemed super pleased with the service she had received and thanked Matt several times for taking care of her car so quickly. I personally found Matt to be very courteous and professional. When you talk to him you get the sense that he takes pride in his work and appreciates your business. He inspected my car and, even though I had told him that I wanted to replace the front and back brakes, he actually told me that my front brakes could go without replacement for a while longer. I decided to replace them anyways, but I took note of his honesty. The price was reasonable and there were no surprises. I really could not have asked for a better experience.

Best service I ever received! The manager was very perfessional, he was doing so much. He greeted and helped every customer as they came in and helped the shop guys. Your company is lucky to have such a great employee that does so much in a management position on a weekend no less. I will go here hands down every time to fix my vehicle. Use to go to Firestone and pep boys they ripped me off and never fixed the problem and charged me as much as a used car. They wanted to charge me $740 for my rear brake job. Other places provided estimates of $320 to $350, for the exact same work. I went with the $320; which was a very reputable auto repair.

I would have given this place 5 stars if it wasnt for the tension between the manager and the mechanic. It interferes with how long it takes for you car to get done even if its a simple oil change or tire rotation. But I know them so they help me out with discounts

I should have taken the warning when the parking lot was completely empty on a Saturday. They completely overcharged me for a break repair, however they said they could do it in 2 hours, so I was going to accept it. However it took over 5 hours and me calling to get it done. They nickel and dimmed me for every little thing they did, even if I didn’t request that service (like an oil change I didn’t need). It seems there are only 2 people that work there and it takes forever for anything to get done. Gave it two stars because the guy at the main desk was very nice and took a couple labor charges off. Honestly go anywhere else. You’ll get quicker and more honest service.

Dropped my car off for an oil change, nothing else. Told them I would be back in 60-90 minutes. Two hours later I call and whoever picked up the phone says Were starting it right now. Fifteen minutes after that my husband and I pull up, and the car is parked where I left it, still without an oil change. I took my keys and left. Heres a tip for you guys: Customers dont leave their cars there for YOUR convenience, they do it for their own convenience. If I had waited there, Im sure it wouldnt have taken them two hours before they even get the car in the garage. Honestly, after being a Monro customer for years, Im done. The service just gets worse and worse.

Stopped in for an oil change with tires rotation and had a flat needed filled . Done with coupon rewards from Straight Talk. Found out my front passenger tire was about to blow . Scared to think the if . Unfortunately we were not able too find the lugnut.. The deal was good . I did take it across the street to Modern Tire .Found the lugnut. Thank Goodness!!!

All the employees are nice, cordial and friendly except for the store in-charge, i dont know whats his name... Mr. Leighton, I guess.... very rude and unprofessional guy. I wont go to the that store anymore. But that store used to be very good.

These guys were great! I showed up during a trip with a brake problem, two days before Christmas, two hours before closing time. Not only did they stay late to diagnose and repair my vehicle, but the mechanic took the time to explain the problem, show me the defective parts and crack a couple jokes. I only wish I lived around here, because I would definitely go to them again.
