A cute bookstore with small selections of each genre. The lady at the front desk was really sweet and provided a lot of information.

This book store cancelled a book signing by Dr Veltmeyer. This store does not believe in free speech and the First Amendment. Dr. Veltmeyer is a conservative, speaks the truth about what is going on in our state and county. The actions of this store reflects how our freedoms are being limited. Limiting speech and free association is what happens in a communist counties.

I’m always in search for local bookshops in Orange County, and this dainty bookshop, located in lovely Lido Marina Village, is now one my favorite places to find new reads. Definitely coming back and recommending it to friends.

Book shop tucked into the storefronts that is a perfect stop off. Kids and adults alike can find a new book to add to their collection. Reading pillows and sitting area for the kids while you browse and very helpful employees who can lookup and find all kinds of relevant material you may be interested in. Process were not inflated and well worth spending the money at a local shop!

Good selection and they will order any book they dont have for you.

We tried to go in there to buy our 2 year old a couple of books and were told we had to leave because he wouldn’t wear a mask. He’s only 2 and has gotten better with masks but we’re not at 100% yet. I know that “two years and up” is the official guideline. However, in a year of being in a pandemic, this is the very first establishment that has told us to leave because he wouldn’t keep a mask on. I know people who have flown on planes with a toddler where they’ve had more grace and understanding. Anyone who would be so strict or rude has never actually been around a two year old.

All of the staff here are extremely friendly and helpful, the location is perfect since its right next to the beach, and the store has a very diverse and interesting selection. Best independent bookshop Ive been to! 11/10 recommend!

Love the vast selection if books! I could (and have) spent hours in there. I also love that there are staff picks for those of you who dont know what to get. Three floors of books to keep you entertained. I have yet to see this secret tunnel others have mentioned, but I hope to soon!

My favorite bookstore! 10 years +! I usually send Michelle an email with my requests, pay online, and then when Ive got time I can walk over and pick them up from the little table in front. This cozy space doesnt have room for all the titles out there, but Im so much happier ordering from a local shop. The best!

This place is a disaster! I gave my wife a gift certificate from this place and when she went to use it to purchase two books she was told the store ie under new ownership and they refused to honor the gift certificate. By the way their inventory is so lousy they had to special order her requests although they are both on the best seller lists. They were EXTREMELY rude over this whole debacle

Small book shop very welcoming and quiet. There is a warm welcome walking into the book store. Many books to select from best sellers to well known authors. Seats for adults and children. Get a free bookmark with a book purchase.

A delightful bookstore selling both used and new books in a wide range of genres. I found a couple of gems at great prices, and the only thing keeping me from buying them all was the fact that I would have had to lug them home with me in my carry on bag back to Chicago. Sad. :(

Five star book store with a happy and helpful owner always there and ready to assist. One recent visit I brought some guests from out of state and we were each gifted a free book about Newport’s history. Novel experience with a lot of charm!

Great little shop. Took a couple of kids here to pick out their own birthday gifts and there was a great selection of books for a preschooler and two elementary aged youth. The kids had fun looking at books and we left with an armful of books for under $40.

Fantastic and very cute little bookstore. They have a good selection of new and popular releases, classics, and even field guides and maps! Especially considering its a small neighborhood type of store. Very friendly owner and just a great place to find a good book for your beach trip :)

Books!Books!Books! Its tucked away in Lido Marina Village, its adorable, its cute. They also have great people working there. If you need a book, just something random they have everything from maps to novels to kid books. Definitely recommend!

Lido village books is a fantastic little bookstore reminiscent of the smaller book stores that used to exist in other places before the larger tycoons took over. Its has a fantastic selection for the size and the lovely homie little environment is very comfortable.

This bookstore is the greatest!! Its quaint and nestled in at the Lido Marina Village so if you stop by theres a bunch of other cute stores surrounding it. The staff is knowledgeable on all different kinds of books and make great recommendations :)

Nice little bookstore in the super wealthy enclave of Newport Beach. Great mariner selection and close to the boats. Come here for a magazine to read while you watch the boats come in and out.

Lido Village Books is small but mighty and their cairfully curated selection of books never fails to inspire a good purchase The bredth of genres on offer is impressive for such a small venue and the compact nature of the shop is one of its best assets. Having so many great books in close proximity to one another cuts out the time wasting of traipsing around a large chain bookstore to hunt down a hidden gem. I find their staff picks to be on point, having purchased a couple of them and thoroughly enjoying them both. This little shop is definitely worth a visit if you like to read and are looking for some inspiration, or just miss the tactile experience of book shopping that is slowly disappearing with the advent if online shopping and can be an unispiring chore at a chain bookstore.

Lido Village Books has new and used books, magazines, and the new york times available. its a combination of Books, Inc. and Moes Books (a berkeley institution).
