This coffee/surf shop is very cool. The coffee is great, the baristas are helpful and nice, and the atmosphere of the shop is somewhere you want to hang out and shop. Will definitely visit this spot again

My favorite place in Southern California. I used to come here every day when I first moved to this area and found the staff to be so nice and very passionate about what they do! The owners are super sweet, always there, and super down to earth. I cant say enough nice things about the staff - all with their own really cool personalities. The natural lighting and atmosphere in here is really relaxing with a collection of really awesome vintage collection for sale, locally made pottery, and they highly support local creatives.

Amazing vibes, great people, and unparalleled coffee. The bohemian aesthetic mixed with the down to earth service if a perfect recipe for a relaxing yet productive space. It’s definitely part community gathering space part sanctuary to get work done or just have a relaxing time with friends or family. Becca and Kyle really have done a fantastic job with this place. Would highly recommend.

This guys know how to make a good coffee (which is not common for Orange county). Selection of pastry is limited but people come here not for a peace of banana bread. The 70s - surfer ambiance is what they sell here. Patrons look foxy... Nice going!

Found this coffee shop from a recommendation from a friend. It was hidden away in an industrial complex, but well worth the treasure hunt to find it! The atmosphere was right in the name - surf & coffee. You basically felt you were sent back in time to the 70s with everyones bell bottoms and wild prints. The baristas were extremely friendly! Theres not a lot of seating and so its not ideal for large groups.

In case you need a new surfboard, some insanely expensive (I think?) ceramics and some really solid coffee, this is your spot. Sight Glass espresso pulled from their hip white La Marzocco results in a very good flat white. The shop is cool if not necessarily practical (though I guess a lot more people buy surfboards in the OC than I imagine) and it is merchandised very coolly so if nothing else you can look cool on Insta : )

The baristas here were remarkably welcoming and kind. They showed us through the menu and made personal recommendations based on our preferences, making us feel like valued customers. I dont remember the last time I was surprised by a cup of coffee. Had the One & Fun and boy was I surprised. A split shot of espresso with one half drunk straight and the other half doctored up with whatever the barista is feeling! We also got the Rose Cardamom Latte which was pleasantly balanced and light, a true crowd-pleaser. If not for the amazing coffee I would be coming back for the customer service. Excited to try something new next time!

Ive been so interested in this coffee shop for over a year through their social media and I finally decided to come down from LA to try it out. However, I was extremely disappointed with the way how theyre handling COVID protocols. Theres a sign that asks customers to wear masks outside due to state guidelines on the window; However, the employees are not implementing customers to do so. There were a total of 3 customers in front of me to order without masks on and a couple of guys just drinking their coffee within the store obviously without their masks as well. I understand that customers can be difficult with this however its the safety of the customers and employees. Clearly, this shop doesnt care about whats going on and just wants to make money at the risk of their employees. Also, theres no such thing as social distancing within the store and I cannot believe that the owners saved up to finally have seating available within the store a few months ago yet they cannot afford to buy plexi glass shields for their employees at the cash register which was where the customers without masks interacted with the cashier. I felt immensely uncomfortable and I just wanted to leave after ordering. As my understanding of the health inspections, youre supposed to be considered as take outs only and not dine in. I received my coffee without a lid which implies that I can drink the coffee within the store. To be honest, as a small mom and pop shop you should do better. I am hurt that this shop doesnt care for the well being of their employees and customers. Why not be safe than sorry. I will not be coming back nor will I recommend this place. If the owners do want to improve then:1. Post on your instagram letting customers know about the Covid protocols.2. Have your employees implement the protocols.3. Make social distancing marks on the floors (6ft apart).4. Do not allow customers to drink their coffee inside.

Best place ever. Nicest employees and great customer service. The drinks are great, there is more than just coffee so that is a bonus. Also a very laid back atmosphere and good vibrations all around. For those of you who haven’t been to Daydream yet, I highly recommend that you check it out.

Pleasant environment for the surf enthusiast or clothing designer. They have books, clothing, surfboards, beach gear, and many interesting pieces of art. Kyle, owner, approached and made me feel welcome personally then engaged in conversation. The rest of the staff is friendly as well.In addition to being a surf shop, Daydream has a coffee bar as well, staffed by a skilled and smiling barista.

One of the cutest cafes ever! It doesnt look like one from afar, but once you walk in youll see the outdoor tables. I absolutely love that the outside tables each have an outlet. Also, when it gets dark outside they turn on the lights. No need to move or go inside. It is a definitely must see!! No Food, just a small selection of drinks. Which are all a minimum of $3 donation. Last but not least, free WiFi.

A hidden gem with excellent fine coffee! Friendly Staff, but dont be fooled by just coffee they also have awesome surfboards really a true non-commercial surfshop where you can try out different style boards. Only recommendation would be to add a few table and also better bar stools but overall a great place!

Great vibe and great cold brew. Staff is friendly and quick. It looks like they make great breads as well although I didnt try them. Its a remodeled industrial space split between the coffee shop and a surfshop (with cool clothing and ceramics albeit at high price points). Coffee is fairly priced. The customers vary but seems they have a core following of SoCal hipsters which Im down with. Its dog friendly. Will be coming back!

Daydream is exactly that. Kyle the owner is a great businessman as well as a great surfer who is willing to pass on knowledge of surfboards and overall stoke and love for surfing . I was a member of the board club and for 50 dollars a month its epic. Fishes logs bonzers, you can expand your surfing thru this ! After falling in love with a Troy Elmore fish I ordered a custom and received it in 6 weeks .Great service and super friendly staff. Grab a coffee, chat with Kyle, you will be stoked!

Honey and sage latte? Umm yes! This hidden cafe feels like it belongs on the water. The collection of surfboards and carefully curated artisanal home and beauty items lend to a casual yet hip vibe. The tunes are spot on. Plenty of fun seating options although they don’t have any outdoor seating. Is it wrong of me to ding the cafe for its location?

They are more concerned with money then costumer service. I purchased a used surfboard from them for a very high price point. They told me it was water tight. After the purchase I found the board to be drenched inside and not in the condition they told me it would be. Regardless, not in a condition they should sell to anyone without making them aware of the issue. So I asked them to take a return on the board and their managers response showed no empathy at all. Infact, he was appalled at my unhappiness and responded with: This is what you get when you buy a used surfboard, we will not take your return. I would not recommend buying a surfboard here, nor would I recommend the putting forth any money into a shop where money is more important then the happiness of the customer.
