My wife and I love Bier One (we live just down the street). Their new location, just east of Hwy 101 and just north of SW Lee St., is a great place to hang out, enjoy a beer (or two or three) and have a bite to eat - they have some good things on their menu! Besides their own brews, they host some guest taps and mix some really good cocktails. One of the many places you have to try when youre in Newport!

This is the quintessential neighbor pub! Friendly. Very good beer (schnozzberry and cocoa nib Porter are terrific). They just moved and reopened. added mixed drinks, too. The food menu is above average, and if it does not suit you, there’s a smokehouse food truck on the weekends. Pleasant and friendly. Great for locals and local wannabes.

Fun beer and cocktail choices, newer food menu isnt too bad either. Friendly local hangout, dogs welcome outside with outdoor seating.

Bier one is always a good place to go. They have a good selection of beers they brew themselves as well as having guest taps. The sandwiches are good too. The salami one is amazing!

Our bartender was amazing! Completely welcoming, not just loved our dogs but then provided them treats and water and was wonderful to connect with! Were not here often but when we do come we will definitely be back! Thanks for treating optimis, calliope, and mishka, like family!

We were just driving through and happened upon this brewery. It was awesome! Great food, fun atmosphere, and exceptional beers! Highly recommend. The owners took time to talk to us even though we were not regulars. It was one of the gems of our vacation.

Super laid-back bar. Outdoor seating is a great plus for those nice summer days. Great new location and reconception of the original. Thumbs up for a friendly locals hangout. ;)

Dont usually share reviews but this spot was so nice I had to. Super friendly bartenders, clearly a place where lots of local folks go to meet up, and some great beer from a nano brewery. So happy to have stumbled on this place.

Bier One is such a great place! The bartenders were so nice, and they had a great choice of drinks 😊 We had fun playing pool, Foosball, and shuffleboard. There is plenty of room for people to sit at the bar and chat, have room at the tables or play games and not bother people. Good music was playing too!

Great food, great beer. Had the baked Monte Cristo, the puff pastry is amazing. Cheezy chips, amazing. Nitro porter from Bier One, amazing.

Friendly vibe, great servers. Small but mighty tap list. We played lots of darts there during our stay. Ill be back often.

In a town that currently offers two micro brew houses, Beir One is holding its own with some fierce competition and even serving their competitors libations. The atmosphere is fun, the bartender is the friendliest in town (hey, it says so on the wall), and the use of local artists talents is impressive. But the best part is their beer. We tried every one of their crafts and found them all to be fantastic. The brewery has some serious talent.

Johnny was our bartender. He was awesome! Took the time to visit with us, and answer all our questions. He was very knowledgeable and fun. Place is eclectic in a very fun way. Loved it!

I love this place they have the most amazing beer. The art in the place is great! I love the furniture. I miss the bartender they had some tall guy, he could talk about anything and it was a great conversation every time!

First visit to bier one was a good experience. Great tasting beer, friendly bartender, and funky decor. I may have to check it out again the next time I visit Newport.

Definitely local dive status but way more pimpin than port of pints, got pool tables, wild seating and good music

Great place to see when youre on the coast! Locally owned and brewed and everyone there is super friendly. Chris makes the best food and I love their earthy furniture. I think they just recently turned kid friendly during the day as well!

Lots of variety on tap, including other breweries. The staff is great. Bartenders are the best. Oh, and they have good food.

Good happy hour extension on Wednesdays. My company had our annual social gathering here just one day before the seafood and wine festival, but it wasnt too busy! Drinks were dispersed quickly and accurately, and were very yummy. We had lots of excellent choices of local beers, ciders, a couple kombucha, as well as some local wines for the vine-inclined. All in all a fun place for a large group or just those that want to play pool or sit at the bar.

Great atmosphere! Solid food and all their beers brewed by Bier One are solid. The Snozzberry is very drinkable.

Beer was ok. Service was fantastic. Probably a good place for groups that like games. Tons of space, pool tables, etc. No air conditioning so it can get hot. Look at some of the pictures to get a feel for the place... the art is very industrial and made me a little uncomfortable!

If you like good beer and youre in Newport, this is the place to be. Solid bottle selection, 12 taps that rotate pretty frequently (1-3 new beers a week), and decent bar food. The owners are great, and the prices are fantastic. Also a home brew supply store.

Really great place. Rotating taps keep the beer selection fresh and interesting for the repeat customers. I get my supplies here for my home brew as well and they staff is helpful and friendly and supplies are great for a small town like Newport. Music, games and food make this a perfect place to socialize and have a barley pop with your friends.

Stopped in randomly, the owners were friendly and knowledgeable. Food was good, had the potachos :) yummy! Will definitely be stopping back by! Their shirts are cool too

Great beer and atmosphere! I love the ever changing beers on tap while still being able to get certain favorites in the cooler :) the food is good and not to expensive, the monte cristo is delicious! I love the friendly bartenders and the many interesting patrons to spark conversations with. As well as shuffleboard, pool, darts, games and books, as well as live music at times this place is the jackpot! It is my favorite place to hangout and drink beer at in Newport :)

We were in here on a Sunday night (7.2.17) so it was slow, but there was still plenty to keep us entertained from the adhoc scrap wood chairs (read thrones), to the local drunk guy with apparent brain damage from telling the same mobbin on a 3wheeler story on a loop (wait, this might be a chicken/egg scenario), to the ridiculously awesome art pieces that were the 8.5x11 unique advertisements for an upcoming artshow. Whomever came up with and made those should be working at a 21st century madmen office. But I digress. They make and have lots of fabulous beers. I didnt have an average beer here. Cheers!

Theres nothing I like more in a taproom than well-versed staff, and this place has it. They have an interesting selection of brews on tap, and theres a ton of great local stuff to buy and take home in the bottle.
