Im giving this Walmart Supercenter five stars because they work very hard to keep people happy, despite being throttled during tourist season every year. Even with the rise of Covid on our shores, they work hard here.That said, there are some empty shelves here and there -- however, during this time where the supply chain isnt flowing properly. They still work hard to keep you happy.I do not gather produce in this location... keeping in mind, you get what you pay for. However, if you are trying to save money, feed and clothe a family in these pricier times -- its more than fine.Honestly, I attempt to avoid this place so I can support local businesses. When I do need to go in, I plan my shopping experience so that I can keep my head down... get in and back out as quickly as possible.This location employees many fine locals and they weather every storm with great effort.

Ordering online for pick up has been awesome. No checkout lines as a recent amputee has been amazing. I understand why the associates, cant and dont accept tips, but I wish they would. Thank you!

The Best super store! Always well stocked! Great merchandise and pricing always! Cashiers should be more friendly-usually we initiate conversation- thanking & appreciating the service.

To the guy harassing people to buy phones in the electronics dept... kindly go find yourself a non customer service job. You cannot continue to be rude to people and expect to keep your job. You were rude to more than one person in a 5 min span. I think your boss need to speak with you about the way you conduct yourself in the workplace. The only thing constructive I saw you do was text madly on your phone.

Would be five stars, but its walmart! Our Newport Walmart seems to consistently be unstocked or out of stuff. Display furniture that is not for sale. As far as the staff go they are very nice. Always clean and faced.

Personally I like Walmart. Ive never been hassled on any of my returns they have some decent deals depending on what your looking for. Ive ordered stuff online and I have been very satisfied with all of the items Ive purchased.

The pricing is not always what it seems or what is posted. But they do have some nice cashiers

Everything I was looking for but one thing. So thats pretty good! Friendly employees and mostly helpful, but I think one gal I asked was new but she found someone who knew. Alot of parking, and they opened another register when a line accumulated. A cold soda machine at the exit.

If youre looking for cheap stuff sold cheaply, this is the spot. Groceries are what youd expect. Handy to have around. Does what its supposed to. Not my favorite store in town, though.

It was evening time so a busy store is expected. All the employees are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The woman working in electronics was exceptional. She narrowed down what I needed with a couple of questions and then made a selling suggestion. I left very happy. My cashier was speedy while still capable of pleasant conversation which was a plus while being in line.

Not the largest and definitely the most organized of all Walmarts. The reason for two stars is that it seemed very sketchy with a lot of mentally ill people around the store. Its a Walmart if you need it, but prices were higher than a lot of the surrounding stores it seemed, and their selection was not good. Half the dolls of other stores, and electronics we wanted were completely not stocked.

Smallish store and items can be a bit hard to findand my friend was yelled at by an employee over a $20 raincoat that was locked in a glass case. If this is the customary treatment of tourists, expect to find another more accommodating retailer with a friendlier staff

It is Walmart. It has everything. The prices are comparable to other major stores. Of course some things are better than others. Standard and high quality grocery store experience. One notable thing is that the employees took initiative to be helpful. Overall great experience.

They didnt have the garden hose repair parts I needed. So this was just a walk through. Nice store.

Great values on cell phones and Im hooked up with Verizon now...super salesman too! Very pleased!

The rudest managers i’ve ever met i had a question and these 2 ladies obviously not doing what they were supposed to, just walking around and chatting! and i just had one question about a piece of jewelry and got the worst response ever definitely don’t ask for help at this store they don’t know what they are doing! i absolutely hate talking bad about people but this was just straight RUDE!!!!

Its a terrific place to eat, get last minute things. The employees are all family and friends of, they are super...oh yeah, very good coffee - I buy it every time Im in😁

This Walmart has everything you need from food to clothes. Not very crowded and easy access to all departments. Friendly staff and cashiers.

Cashier we had was very rude to my 7 year old niece over a squishy ball that didnt have a price tag. She didnt even bother to want to look up for a price for her. My 7 year old niece was crushed and kept asking why the lady was rude to her like that. Then she ended up trying to charge for an extra box of baby wipes after I told her she didnt even bother to fix it instead rudly said to go to customer service when she could of easily just taken it off in the first place! Never had anyone be so rude like her before!

This is a great place to go if you need some things. The store is really big and offer a great variety of products. The produce is amazing and affordable. Plus the prices are great. The employees are very helpful and friendly. I would definitely go back to this store and would highly recommend to others if you are in the area.

Employee company training lacks greatly. Customer service representatives NEED to be trained equally. A simple task of splitting two credit card payments, using two credit cards shouldnt be a major ordeal. You have ONE job Customer servic get it TOGETHER!

Backwards from other stores Ive been to but it was nice and clean. The people working there are friendly and helpful. One or the nicest Walmarts weve been too.

I had items that would scan correctly. So I had to wait in line for twenty minutes for a cashier to ring through and she had to have a supervisor override two of these items. Bad programming and bad use of personnel

Good place to buy cheap clothes but there groceries are ridiculously expensive.

It was an okay experience this last shopping visit. Very disappointing when things I order are not in stock. I feel that I should be notified before I even place an order. However my frozen goods were in good shape this visit as opposed to my last visit Frozen goods were thawed more than I expected

Its small for a Walmart and it always s feels like the aircirculation is non existent and its stuffy.... Isles are disorganized for a Walmart and the service is lacking...

Has consistently been completely blowout every weekend for the past 2 months. Some of us work weekdays and come All the Way from Lincoln city just to shop here bc its affordable and have for years but now during summer we can only get here on Sat and Sun and this place is a WRECK and SOLD OUT of EVERYTHING we need- Gatorade, energy drinks, crystal cat litter, meat section, snacks, soda, produce, dairy, EVERYTHING was a disaster,not the workers fault of course, theres many helpful ppl here actually, but HOW CAN MANAGEMENT BE THIS BAD AT INVENTORY???

I was able to find all the items I came in to buy very easily. I checked myself out quickly and I felt everything went smoothly and efficiently.

Had to wait a while this time also I never got a receipt by email which is very inconvenient.

This Walmart reminds me of the way Walmarts were back 20 years ago. The aisles were tighter, the layout of the store was slightly confusing, and it just seemed like there was less space than Im used to.That being said, they had everything I was shopping for, and there was no lines for the checkout. Id recommend coming here.

Easy in and out for quick shopping with about 10 self check stations.

Thus store is ALWAYS OUT OF EVERYTHING!! I mean just basic stuff that you need on the daily. I dont know what to say....

Walmart has better prices on cat food than Rays. I have 5 cats to feed & have to buy a lot. Was pretty bad there for awhile with little cat food on shelves! Better now! Thanks for your prices!

The store has changed a lot in the last 2 years. Mostly thanks to covid 19... some changes are good. Like having people greet you at entrance/exit to the store.

This walmart doesnt stock any usb solar for camping, and didnt have any power inverters over 400W (actually, the 400W was the only option on-shelf). 3/5 because they had the other stuff I was looking for, and the employees are courteous and respectful.

This store was one of the smallest wal-mart stores we have been to. has the basics and thats about it. not to much else to say.

So huge! Plenty of good deals can be found here. If you havent been to one yet, I encourage you to visit.

This location like all of its others, is a Walmart, theres is wide range of a little bit of everything and usually there is someone there trying to steal it, there tends to always be a secret shopper security following you while you are watching homeless and tweakers actually stealing something and when it comes to needing help there is never a employee around and if you find one in area you are looking for something they always seem to come from a different department. On busier days the shelves are empty to half stocked. All in all its what what you would come to expect from a Walmart no offense to its employees its just how they run these box super stores.

My return was quick and easy. That is why I rated it with 5 stars. What I dont like is being asked to show my receipt. It is invasive and since I didnt enter a legal agreement with Walmart like you do as a member of Costco they have no right to ask. I avoid Walmart unless I have no other choice. I feel uncomfortable and almost intimidated by the people at the door. Still my return was easy. I prefer Fred Meyer. Thats where I shop. Im willing to pay more to avoid Walmart. But the young man at customer service was really pleasant and helpful. Otherwise 0 stars.

Ive completely stopped using Walmart very unhappy with their treatment of their customers the lack of stock they have I have plenty of better places to shop that want my money me and Walmart have been done for several months now I have been across the country and been in many many Walmarts and it is poorly run and a lot of the associates and managers are more like tyrants they do not like their customers and they do not care if they have the stock that you need at the right price

Went in for a quart of oil and a video game. The staff who helped us were friendly and efficient. Store was clean and not too busy. Customers and staff pretty much all wore masks and tried to social distance, which is much better than what I was seeing the rest of the day in Newport.

Out of a lot products, online is better if you can wait.

WE HAD TO PAY FOR THE BAG?! Were from Idaho. Newports Walmart requires you to pay $0.05 per plastic bag. Gonna go broke just trying to get groceries to the hotel room. 🤣 Was in shock. And the staff wasnt the most friendly. Annnnnnd despite having a sporting goods section, couldnt get our fishing licenses. Fred Meyers will definitely get all the stars from us.

Just alright. Did not have what I needed (Netgear).

Limited compared to other Wal-mart stores. The pharmacy is outstanding. They have a great team in the pharmacy. Not so much everywhere else. Well the self checkout isnt too rough.

They seem to be out of items since they do shopping for curbside service. They are also going to self checkout leaving maybe two cashiers. The other day we waited in line for at least 15 minutes we were finally the next on line to put our items on the conveyer and the cashier put a closed sign up saying that the person who had his items on was the last person. That left just one cashier and the line was as you can imagine huge. I went to customer service complained had the gentleman check me out and left all the items needing to be weighed. I can shop else where. For the prices they charge I want to pick my own items, not have others shop for me and I want to have a cashier.

Low inventory, hard to find things, bike accessories were no where near the bikes.

This is the worst Walmart in Oregon. Really, Ive been to all of them, and this is the worst. Always with empty shelves that they blame on Covid, but the same products arent out of stock at the Walmart in Eugene, Hermiston, Medford, well, any of them. Clearly, there is no oversight here, and management is asleep instead of ordering product.Look, this is the only coastal Walmart for many, many miles, and yet their management continues to lessen the amount of products available, i.e. car audio, watches are seldom and sloppily restocked. When I asked management about these issues, the man replies, Well, we were thinking anout doing away with that anyway . Im thinking, Wow! Youre the biggest thing going on the coast, and you want to lessen the products you ha e available?Wamart Super-store? No. Im not seeing it. If you need to go to Walmart, make the trip to Eugene if you can, because that one is sooooo much better than this one in Newport, Oregon.

Not very handicapped friendly. No benches to wait for a scooter (not many scooters available). Not much inventory. Also morr laid out very well. I guess Im just used to bigger city stores.

The service at the Pharmacy was wonderful.The people control gates at the entrance is too much and over the top.We are not children or cattle.I politely said to the man controlling the gate that I would like him to speak to the Manager about it. He was very professional and responsive. I thanked him for his time.We had checked out at the pharmacy. Walking out the cattle gate behind another couple while showing the receipt.What I assumed to be the floor manager approached me and said we must go around. I told him those gates are too much and over the top.He stated that this is how they do business now.When I informed him that they no longer need my money then his only statement was I’m sorry you feel that way.All these rules change faster than anyone can keep up with. Every store has a different something.Let us go to the store, buy our stuff and go home. I will not pay for being watched and evaluated before I may pass through the gates.You are a service. When the service gets bad I go away.

Newport Walmart has no jackets. This is a must for this area and all the tourists. I had to go to another store.

Clean well stocked polite and helpful staff

Its decent, as Walmart goes, but theres no deli, so be warned before seeking out rotisserie chicken. Also, due to a city ordinance, theres no overnight parking allowed. Its within close distance to Safeway and Fred Meyer, if you dont find what you need, but its usually well stocked and easy to get in and out.

Curbside staff was very helpful, it was hard to get ahold of them but once I did they were willing to help me with what I was needing. I’ve also had great interactions with staff and everyone was masked in all my visits.

Your typical walmart. But their is not a fresh deli Or bakery. They only usually have 1 register open besides the self check out. The workers are not always the friendliest. It is a very long wait for a carry out for a pregnant women with two kids. But hey its walmart right.
