Great outdoor seating area with 4 picnic tables and a few bistro sets. Its in the atrium to a building so the inside is a bit limited but still have a large table for study groups. They take electronic payments and allow dogs (even a jar of treats), so if you live close its a good dog-walk destination. Good coffee and pastries. Good Starbucks alternative.

Great service, great coffee and a nice shop with indoor and outdoor seating.While on a road trip across a few northeast states, Ive stopped into well-rated coffee shops. At each stop Ive asked for the same drink: two oat milk Cortados. This is the best service Ive received so far and I cant decide if this coffee was also the best or tied for best. Nevertheless its obvious theyre passionate about good coffee.

What an awesome find! My wife and I were on our way out of town from visiting Newport for the weekend and decided to stop in somewhere for a quick coffee. Absolutely incredible coffee (best my wife said she had on our trip by far), bites, and service.

This place is amazing! Run by the sweetest couple, we came back 2 days in a row 😋 Honey cinnamon, Mocha, Maple sea salt, and Espresso w/ citrus soda were each great wake-up drinks. And the food is nothing to sneeze at either. We recommend the “egg” sandwich or the cinnamon roll

Visiting from Connecticut - easily the best coffee I have had in a very long time. Friendly crew, awesome merchandise- perfect start to the day! I highly recommend this place if your a coffee fanatic- they know their stuff!

Hands down the best coffee Ive had in the New England area! Was in the area for a wedding and was surprised to find a true specialty coffee shop. Being a coffee obsessive we spoke of espresso ratios and yields and its great to see how passionate they are about their coffee!I wish them all the success and will definitely be stopping by if Im ever in the Newport area again!

I travel a lot and always look for local coffee shops on my journeys. I loved the logo and the coffee trike idea that I saw online. So I went. It was such a comfortable place. Happy feelings and very engaging owner. The coffee was wonderful and I felt so welcome and comfortable. Nice job in carving your niche in the many coffee shops around the U.S.A. I will return!

Best espresso in Rhode Island. Including decaf. Small spot in a converted school now used for small business office space and co-working. Very cool location, amazingness coffee, small intimate spot, and awesome service. Don’t forget the cookies!

Met the owners wife out in town and she said “check out my husband’s coffee shop”. So the next morning my wife and I headed over.The owner Jordan good kid. Has a awesome outlook on good coffee. I was nervous about the panini grill cooking. We got the breakfast burrito. I’m here to say don’t be nervous cause that burrito ROCKED!!! and they sell the presentation of the food. Impressed by the hustle and service.I had a cappuccino and my wife had a americano best two cups of Joe we had in a long time.I recommend if you’re in Newport to visit take the detour away from the waterfront and sit outside and enjoy the spot. Plenty of parking so no need to worry. It beats sitting in bumper to bumper on Thames St.

Wow. I just popped into this place, because my 70 year old mom gets her cappuccino from here after her workout in the church nearby. Absolutely, zero complaints. Just a lovely experience. Chipper service, great prices, atmosphere, and delicious. It really makes all the difference when employees (owner?) like/ enjoy / their work / are treated well.

We love this spot, and Jordan, the owner. We visit multiple times a week—you truly can’t get better espresso drinks in the area.

So refreshing to have simple ingredients and flavors in a latte instead of a bunch of added sugar. Thank you to the kind barista who asked what type of milk I wanted (I was too tired to remember to specify at first) and the talented man behind the beautifuly crafted beverages. As someone who used to work at a coffee shop I can tell the baristas here really care.

In an awkward location, but can usually find street parking. There is a wait time, but if you’re not in a rush, it’s a great place to stop by. Went for the first time the other day and literally loved everyone there! (And their coffee)

We were just passing through on the way to Nantucket and found Simple Merchant on google. We were REALLY impressed with the atmosphere, coffee, and the sourdough glazed donut we got- seriously, the coffee was incredible. You can tell he really knows his stuff- and get a pastry, it was so delicious.10 out of 10. Best coffee shop on island I think. The sea salt caramel oat milk latte is heavenly and Jordan always has a great selection of baked goods in the case from Rose Macarons, Knead Donuts and Scratch catering. They have an assortment of sandwiches and interesting canned coffees to try as well! Super nice space and great customer service. My kids and I love going there and will keep going back!

My husband and I decided to check out this new coffee stand near our home. The barista/owner was friendly. There are a few seats outside (important during Covid). I had an iced cardamom latte and it was delicious! Go get your coffee!

I have been a Newport resident for over 10 years and this is the type of business I like to see succeed here. I was walking by and noticed this new espresso bar stand and was met by Jordan the proprietor. He described his coffee and business however as enthusiast he was, the proof was in the pudding. I am more of a brewed coffee guy but the latte he made was awesome, probably the best one I have had in downtown Newport. Highly recommended to enjoy an excellent espresso drink, in a beautiful park overlooking the water.
