For the location the price is fair. Was a late lunch with little to no wait. The food was hot and tasty. I had the westsider. It was good losing .5 star because I could not actually tell where the Goetta was. Which was the main reason I order this dish. The sandwich was good though. Also had tortilla soup, which was also good. My wife had half ham and swiss and BBQ & bacon, with tomato soup she said one of the herbs was to strong and reminder her of spaghetti sauce which she like but not as tomato soup. We would visit this location again. Taking .5 star because the lobby could use a wipe down. 4 of 5 stars.
I originally gave this place a 4-star review. I thought it was really good and didnt really have any complaints. But because they actually reached out to me to see how they could improve, I have increased it to 5 stars.
First time here and the service was excellent! We had 5 different sandwiches and they were all delicious! Will definitely go back when visiting the aquarium again.
Sandwich was ok. Very expensive. Salad was drenched is dressing with soggy croutons. 3.49 for a salad is crazy for the size. Drinks are 2.49. Never paid that much for a drink in a restaurant. Never go there again.
I shared a grilled cheese and tomato basil soup with my child. The soup was good, but the grilled cheese was disgusting. It tasted like fish, and the restaurant doesnt make anything with fish. Pretty gross. We threw out the sandwich.
Great sandwich with a good view of Cincinnati outside. I understand that the rent is probably high for the restaurant but the prices were quite astronomical for deluxe grilled cheeses.
1st time I ever ate here and omg delicious hot fast and friendly
Pretty okay place. We went for the Original Cream Cheese Donut and Classic Tomato Soup. The original cream cheese donut was a little greasy even though the taste was still fine. The classic tomato soup was a little sour. The staff is good though - no complaints there. However, not so good first impression, overall.
Glad to see this chain and grow locally was there when the original one launched excited to see many years later different locations a few tweaks to the menu and overall happy with the restaurant
Loved the food, not the experience. Food was okay. Meh on prices. 😑
My first grilled cheese donut. Type of cuisine? Murican.
The classic tomato soup was just really hot pizza sauce, but the sandwiches were really good. The food was ready quickly and it was nice to watch passers by. There were screens with various programs playing while we ate. It wasnt very quiet while we were there, though, so if youre looking for a quiet place for a quick bite, you might want to try somewhere else.
Service was friendly. Food was quickly delivered and as ordered. Quality was very good.
I placed an order over the phone and unfortunately I got home before I checked all the food and I had ordered two soups that were missing from the order which was really disappointing, considering there was only one table dining in and no one in line when we arrived. Aside from the missing soups, when I called to let them know the worker kept telling me to hold on but did not put me on hold when she was talking to her manager about what happened and then when she came back she told me that she was too busy right now and to call the store back in 30 minutes so they could refund it. In the end, I did get a refund but...what🧐Update: I just realized they gave me spoons, no soup but they sent me off with spoons
This place is not what I expected! I totally love it Omg the sandwich I got was so good
Very tasty. Nice to have something different. Not cheep, fast food, but fairly quickly service and very reasonably priced.
Extraordinarily below average service but pretty darn good grilled cheese
I came here approximately 1 year ago and then again today. The history of Tom & Chee is fascinating and the grilled cheese is as good as the 5 star rating. I gave 4 stars because I was disappointed in the cleanliness and deterioration of the Restaurant itself in just a year. The floor was dirty and is in desperate need of restoration. The tables are broken and the walls look dirty and greasy. Felt like the care it once had is no longer a priority.
Not only was the food absolutely terrible but so was the customer service in this restaurant. Food was so greasy then I had to throw it in the garbage, being a turkey pesto sandwich I did not expect that. The regular tomato soup was absolutely disgusting. And waited at least 20 minutes for our order to be taken when we were the only people in there while the server decided to sweep the entire restaurant as we were standing there waiting. I do not recommend and will never be going back.
Was not impressed with the food. West of Philly was good. The salads were ok. The rest (grilled cheese, tomato soup, bacon something grilled cheese) was not very good. The pop tasted as if it didnt have flavoring. It had plenty of fiz but not much flavoring. This was 3 (Pepsi, mt. Dew, and dr. Pepper) so it wasnt just 1. The staff how ever was amazing. We were there on memorial day around noon and the young lady who took our order was so sweet and nice!
Hands down the best grilled cheese Ive ever had in my life. I got the swiss and ham with pickles. Tomato soup delicious. My son is picky and loved his kids grilled cheese and tomato soup just as much. The fried donuts are perfection. The nutty monkey is my personal fav but my son liked the smores one. The workers were so kind and did a great job!
I feel like yall need to step it up. Not prices, just product.
Loved it. Where is one near Kokomo Indiana?
Great Toasted Cheese options.
A little expensive for grilled cheese but its delicious. Regular cheddar for the kids and a good variety of the specialty sandwiches
This may sound crazy, but I havent stopped thinking about the Philly cheesesteak I had weeks ago. Haha! Possibly one of the best sandwiches Ive ever had. And the girl behind the counter was great.
Very clean and friendly restaurant. Cashier was very friendly and understanding of my large family. Fairly busy during lunchtime. Food is pretty decent, and vibe is good.
A must stop every time we are near one. Who knew there could be such a variety in a place that serves grilled cheese and tomato soup?
Staff and owner was very nice, polite treated us like family highly suggest amazing food we loved it and will return.
My first time enjoyed my visit food was great
My child told me to stop making tomato soup after eating here, she said just come here and get it. I love it.
While their food is good, I have unfortunately never had good service there. I have been 3 times in the past few months. I always give it another go because I do enjoy their food, but Im finally done giving second chances. They are always out of at least one item, but usually several. Most employees dont even look up when you walk in the door and are unprofessional. I had even placed an online order and they called me to tell me they were out of items (surprise!) and I asked them to just cancel the order. They said they would refund me and I even gave them my card info again, and I still never received my refund. I paid for 2 sandwiches I never even got.
This was actually delicious. 😋
Food was ok but the staff was pretty rude and not very nice
I always enjoy the food and fast service
Grilled mac & cheese was delish, added tomato basil dipper (about 2-3 oz) for dipping. Clean, not crowded.
They do grilled cheese as you could guess. Pretty tasty!
I wish there was one close to where I live. Amazing food and I dont even like tomato soup but theirs was really good. Id actually eat it. The sandwiches were super yummy, my granddaughter who is 1 ate most of hers.If we are ever in the area of one we will definitely be back.
Holy guilty pleasure food!
The place was filthy!! all empty tables were dirty. The floor was also disgusting. Fruit cup for child had rotten bananas in it..Our 1st time there. The sandwiches were soaked with grease/oil..Do not see this place staying in business!
The butter and sauce made everything a little too rich, and I wish theyd grilled the turkey a bit more so it wasnt dripping wet.
Girl working was such a sweetie to my little kiddo! Cheered him up, made our day today
It was really good sandwich.
The food was good and served fast. It was dinner time but not busy at all which may hint at overall problems. The floors were nasty and numerous tables needed cleaned. The ac was not working properly and you sweat while eating. One guest complained and the cashier said it was worse yesterday as wasnt working at all. This location needs some serious attention and better management. This location, in an upbeat area, does not represent the name well and visiting here you can understand why they went bust and the lender seized and sold all their assets and business.
Good, quick bite before a movie at the AMC. Food was brought out timely and was hot and delicious. The store was also doing a good job of keeping everything socially distant
The grilled cheese donut was weirdly good. Definitely recommend!
Awesome grilled cheese best place ever omg
Good wasnt very warm and the best part of the meal was the donut
Delicious! Best grilled cheese combos I ever had. I definitely recommend the grilled cheese donut
I went there with some friends and ordered the Grilled Mac and Cheese. It was really yummy! The service was good also.
We had the Flying Pig sandwich and it was really good!
We just walked out of an empty restaurant at 4:30 pm because the woman at the counter was the rudest person I have ever encounter of my life. She refused to wait on us, had no clue about the menu, and allowed us to walk out of the store after using the restroom because she wasnt ready. Did I mention the restaurant was empty. There were no paper towels the restroom during this covid ridden era. And your restaurant just missed out on a 10 person bill
A great place to eat if youre in the mood for comfort food.
Food is absolutely delicious!!! Staff is super friendly. And an amazing location on the levee with a beautiful view of the river and Cincinnati. Highly highly recommend
I believe I ordered the Flying Pig with cesar salad. Everything was scrumptious 😋.
Thank you Tom & Chee for having GF and V foods for me! Daiya cheese is also soy free so I was in the clear! Added pickles for free and viola comfort food. The staff didnt know about soy but took the time to check so that was great.Kids got BBQ grilled cheese and mac n cheese. The BBQ sauce was a smidge too spicy for my daughter. She said the Caesar salad was delish tho.
Really good food
Very dirty inside and ac wasn’t working
Nice store!
Pretty good
Great place to go
Waited 30 mins for 3 sandwiches and it wasn’t busy
The Grilled Cheese doughnut was great! I assumed it wouldnt be. Im surprised. I truly am. For those who wish to try... GO FOR IT‼️
I love going to Tom & Chee, especially when I need a hit of wholesomeness when Im not feeling so hot. The creamy tomato basil soup has great flavor and texture. I always build my own grilled cheese and would highly recommend combining the goat cheese and pesto on a rye bread!
Really good food and the kids were happy with menu. Great for a quick bite to eat
Best grilled cheese and grilled cheese donuts i ever had
I really wanted to like it. It tasted like nothing.
Great service and the food was spectacular. Definitely a MUST if youve never tried it!!
Really good grilled cheese try one of the specialty sandwiches you wont be disappointed!
Great food!
The vegan options are fantastic, and the staff is *devoted* to maintaining an allergen free environment for those with concerns. Granted, they did get my order wrong, but they bent over backwards to make it right when it was such a simple mistake. I highly recommend the vegan cheese on rye with pickles and tomatoes. And the pickles are free for a reason. I now consider them essential for a good grilled cheese.
Great food. Prices a little high for the portion sizes though. Definitely a different spin on traditional grilled cheese. Service was friendly and quick but theyre werent people available it seemed when we had questions about getting some silverware for our soup and salads. Still, Ill try em again. Overall a good experience.
Great sandwiches and the mac and cheese is awesome
Went to the Newport Aquarium in Northern Kentucky and ate at the one there. Three of us got the daily special, Swiss and shrooms. Just so-so rating from all. One got the “creamy” tomato basil soup. Seemed thick but not creamy. We all tasted it and thought it needed salt or something. No one liked it and we threw it out. The restrooms have one toilet for each gender so there can be a wait. Floor was sticky. I’ve seen cleaner. People fall into the trap of eating there because it’s by the aquarium. Skip it.
The food is great and the people are very friendly and its smell very good inside the place is very clean
Was at the Levee last weekend and decided to try this place I’ve heard such great things about. Not impressed on many levels. They were out of tons of stuff (at like 5pm); “all things to make a salad”, out of chicken, out of turkey. When I finally found something to order I was getting “extra” bacon instead of chicken or turkey, my kids settled for some Mac and cheese. Food came and it was not great. The Mac and cheese was bland, the sandwich I got was good but didn’t seem like any extra bacon. Midway through the meal my youngest son needed to use the restroom and when we got in there is was filthy. The floor was all wet (yes it was raining that day, but the outside of the restroom it wasn’t wet at all) and very greasy. My son tried to stand and pee and slipped twice; he didn’t want to try any more and we went out to the public restrooms.Maybe if they had stock of everything and cleaned the restroom I’d give it a 4 but the food just wasn’t that good.
