It was sad to see the state of the aquarium after covid. I remember the times when there were many spider crabs, and the outdoor area was large. Now, the petting tanks and most of the outside gardens were closed. I want to support the aquarium, but unfortunately I cant give it 5 stars. Also, the exhibition on fossils was completely uninteresting to us salt least. I much rather would have seen sea or aquatic life than a bunch of fossils. I do have to say that the ladies doing the bird feeding did a great job speaking to the crowd.

It’s been years since I been to an Aquarium so I was so excited to come here. I love fish and aquariums! I am into the fish hobby as I have 5 at home. This place was amazing! Everyone is so nice, the nature trail and turkey vultures are currently off exhibit due to some construction but they make that very well known before going to the aquarium if you look online. Exhibits are really nice, I live in Washington and I think it’s better than our aquariums. The gift shop is a little weak (wish it had more stuff for adults) but that’s okay.

The crown of this aquarium is the 3 interconnected underwater tunnels showcasing halibut and open ocean habitats. Its worth the hype, its amazing! The gift shop has the usual fare of corney and expensive gifts youll regret buying. Ditto for the food. The washrooms were clean and plentiful.Hidden gem is the estuary walk, which has some excellent bird spotting and usually not busy. 🐙🐚

First time coming here and the Oregon coast Aquarium and animals are all so beautiful. The Facility is pretty big and it took about an hour and half to see everything. We took our time and took pictures along the way.I used the bathroom in the facility and there was a cleaning lady in there on her phone. As soon as I came in she started cleaning. She went to the stalls next to me and started spraying stuff on the floor, VERY close to me feet. This lady waited for me to leave the bathroom making me feel very uncomfortable and rushed. Another bad experience with the staff was when I tried to order a coffee or cider at the cafe, I waited 5 minutes in line (I was the only one in line) and was never acknowledged or anything so I left.

Great exhibits! Well-Treated animals! The grounds have local plant life which makes a great ecosystem for local wildlife! The one thing that makes this place a 4 star and not a 5 star is because the sign in the Octopus cave that houses the Great Pacific octopus is incorrect. There’s something enjoyable for everyone, and whether you’re a kid or much older chances are you can learn something if you read or pay attention at the exhibits. Its a nice little aquarium, but its a bit too small for the price they are offering. About 25 dollars per person - and taking care of aquatic life is expensive, but youll go through the entire place in about 30 minutes. Its hard to linger on one spot for any length of time and enjoy it because of the large crowds blocking all the exhibits, most are small windowed so one to two parents with a baby carriage is enough to block outside viewers. I think with more exhibits and more places to disperse the crowds and more interesting displays it would be a much more enjoyable trip. Otherwise I wouldnt recommend it at its current state.

Im giving them 5 stars for how they are still allowing people in and to run with all the restrictions in place. This was my first time here, and I did have a really good time. The staff were all very friendly and informative. There, sadly, was only like 5 exhibits to look at and again, there are a lot of restrictions going on and only being in phase 1 we couldnt really go inside the buildings or touch anything for the most part. Our timing wasnt all that great either, everything had just been fed or was during feeding so we didnt actually get to see a whole lot of the actual animals. Regardless of everything, the place did very well and gave us a tour and we still had a really great time.

I saw the billboard maps but had little time to look and keep up with my daughter. We couldnt find the shark tank, and by the time I found a table with maps, my daughter was done. She wouldve stayed longer than an hour if the tide pools were open to explore and the shark tank was easier to find She was bored after circling the park 3 times and nothing else to do. Its nice that theyve opened back up again so you can visit while youre at the coast but our kids were a little disappointed that some of the attractions were closed.. like the tide pool and other areas are roped off. It was very crowded for a weekday and only some people were wearing masks..it was obviously not mandatory. I felt I had to mask up in the crowded indoor areas like the shark tank where you are nearly elbow to elbow with everyone and can hardly walk through. I noticed that the gift shop with the fudge was not there anymore either. The other gift shops were just about as crowded as the shark tank. It seems like youre spending a lot of money to be there but not getting the same experience that you used to. Its a little bit of a let down to tell the truth.
