The staff here is always RUDE. I love the digital coupons and the prices are really good. Surprisingly there is a good selection of brand names for it being a dollar store. However the trips I make to either of the two locations in Newton usually end up being unpleasant because of the staff . That is why I have rated with three stars

Its ok, not real well kept but has most your small needs most days, all in all its a place to stop in fast get what you need and go. Only dont be in a real big hurry, can be a little slow at the register. Sorry but its the truth.

Associate was very helpful, half the store was closed because they are going out of business. Should have bought more candy at half price...

Great location. Good place to stop and pick up items that would cost more at the bigger department stores. The simple staples you often forget.

Wide variety of goods, ranging from inexpensive clothing, to cosmetics, food/groceries, hardware and home supplies. Not you mega store, so, you can get right in and out with very little hassle.

Convenient and reasonably priced.The employees seem to always be working on multiple tasks, but every time I have been in they have been very friendly.If you are shopping for yourself or one other this store is perfect. They have some decent digital coupons too!

Great stores to stockvup on essentials. They will give you a $5 coupon with your purchase to use on Saturdays on a $25 or mire order pre-tax. Digital coupons online too. In store, Tesla is always so helpful at the north side location in Newton Kansas. She goes over and beyond to help customers and to make sure they are having a nice day. That girl needs an appreciation day. Makes you smile 😊. Happy shopping everyone.

This is a nice size store to shop at. They have a good variety of things to buy.

Cheap products. Im not a fan of knockoffs of the knockoffs, but good deals. Only one registrar so be ready to wait if its busy.

Sorry to hear they are closing next month.

Friendly staff that help out when you need them and are generally much kinder than some out east which is a nice welcome to much friendlier workers at a nice location for a Dollar General.

Typically it is cheaper to go to a Wal-Mart or Dillons, but for those who need convenience over price this is the place to go. Store atmosphere is less than perfect, staff are usually friendly, easy to spot from traffic.

One my favorite stores

I use to enjoy going to dollar general now i get high anxiety and hate to go in. the employees make me feel very uncomfortable and i want to hurry up and leave. i totally understand and i get it about shoplifters, I AM NOT ONE OF THEM.... BUT I GET TREATED AS ONE AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT I USE TO SPEND ALOT OF TIME AND MONEY IN DOLLAR GENERAL STORES NOW I BYPASS THE STORES AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. I ALSO DONT UNDERSTAND How i can buy one thing in one dollar general and go to other store and buy the same thing and it be five times mre than wat i paid for it the first time at other location !!!!

Found exactly what we were looking for and did not have to fight the huge crowds at Malls and Walmart.

The prices are high and the place is too crowed and help is not always there to check you out.
