Such an amazing selection of beer and a true cocktail crafts woman named Katie. My wife and I went on a much needed date to this bar. We loved our time there. The bar is genuine, sincere, and content with its character. It’s good and doesn’t feel the need to proclaim it from the rooftops like some prepubescent teen who wants people to think he is cool. We’ll make sure to return here and tell our friends and out this hidden gem!

Brian, the owner, is quite knowledgeable with his cocktails. He asked my husband and I what interested us in drinks and was able to nail a cocktail that tasted fantastic. A very laid back and chill atmosphere, one where you actually CAN hold a conversation.

This is the perfect spot if you are in the mood for an experience. They had a great small plate menu and the food was AMAZING!!! The bartender and the owner were both really nice and helpful with the menu. Great 1940s bar vibe. Will definitely be back.

Really fun cocktails. We went for the ramen though. Its definitely not a traditional ramen but the toppings are good. The broth could be a little better and wish the eggs were soaked/seasoned, but again it is definitely worth a try if you like ramen. I got a great cocktail too! Thats the expressions, not things drink. So great! The bartender is the sweetest. Go and enjoy. I will definitely be going back!

My wife and I decided to go up to Niles and try out a couple of places that we had hear about and the Brass Eye was a great one. Going into the bar it had a cozy atmosphere and seemed very welcoming. We sat at a comfortable table and we were greeted right away by the bartender. I ordered a beer and my wife ordered her drink and the Ramen from the menu. The Ramen was very good. I recommend you try it. I tried the sour IPA and loved it. We will be back.

The coolest liquor store in town, I cant wait for it to turn back into the best place to get a Bloody Mary again. Dang Covid!

Best bar in Niles hands down! Friendly environment and great selection. They have really unique cider options for those who want something gluten free or sweeter than beer. For a little protein with my drink, I like to get their eggs brulee. Its a hard boiled egg cut in half with caramelized sugar on top; simple but creative.

Quaint, homey little bar serving well crafted drinks. We will be returning to try the food, looks delicious! They have some fabulous craft beers on tap! Definitely need to make A stop here!

First time here, new to the area. My husband and I were looking for new places to try food. In our search, this little gem popped up! The bao buns were delicious and our Ramen bowls were amazing! Ive been going to Brass Eye for book club once a month for almost a year now and every time has been great. They always have a great selection and take great care of us. Finally tried the ramen tonight and it was fantastic!

Came here from out of town during a work trip because of the good reviews on Google and loved it. The owner was a really cool guy, the vegan ramen was extremely delicious (and made from fresh ingredients), and of course there is beer.

Such a fun place. The owner is beyond friendly and is super knowledgeable about the beers he has and how to make a cocktail. The ramen is seriously one of the best meals Ive has in a long time. My boyfriend and I drove in from from Elkhart and will definitely make the drive again.

A friend finally got me up there after timing not working for several months. What can I say other than I wish we had made it a regular spot ages ago. Let the bartender be creative, I think the one that was there when I was could be nicknamed the drink whisperer. Lol. Definitely hit the perfect combination and nothing in it would have been something I would normally order. I hear they make some awesome ramen as well, but I didnt try it.

If I want a cocktail I come here, even if Im not in the city. I bartender for a few years but this guy blows me and most away. Best quality ingredients, liquors Ive never heard of, new recipes, seasonal creations, ageing his own drinks, bitters, liquors. When I order I usually tell him what I feel like and a spirit and he whips something great up. Good beer selection, wine available. Small snacks he can make though Ive never ordered. A small place. Anyone who wants a good cocktail should stop in there.

If youre looking for an old school style bar, this is the spot for you. No loud thumping music or riff raff. The bartenders are very friendly, and much more like traditional bartenders, they will actually talk to you and get to know you. Cool spot.

I like to visit Michigan from time to time and when I do, I like to visit my favorite cat shelter at the Brass Eye in Niles, MI. This shelter is a no-kill shelter and the little fur babies are just adorable. At last count, they were caring for over thirty cats.The adoption process is very easy and they are quickly able to determine if a potential adopter is the right fit for a feline friend. The lead vet tech, Christos, clearly cares for these animals. They love to play with his long red dreadlocks. And he really helps you select just the right Garfield or Heathcliff.When I was last there I got to pet a cat that that claimed to be re-incarnated soul of Eugene V. Debs, famous socialist for the early 20th century. Ive never met a talking cat before - but little Gene (thats what I call my new furbaby) tells me not to tell anyone else because the CIA and the scienctists at the MKULTRA project may bring me in for questioning. Hes such a silly cat!
