Love this place !!! Outstanding customer service, and most of the time the have everything Im always looking for rc car parts etc.

Brought both my new rc trucks up there because the ez set was all messed up between the new trucks well I watched a couple you tube videos to no avail. Lol so I gave them to the guy that runs the place real nice guy. He had both cars back to factory setting in no time.. also he is full of good information. And he didnt charge me so I spent money on a new battery.. I will say its about a 30 mile drive from my house. But Ill drive there every time I need something. I didnt get your name yesterday but thanks alot bud

My little nephew got me interested in R/Cs back in Jan 2021. We have purchased a couple of Slash trucks, Rustler, Maxx, Maxx X and several various parts from Gary and Tanner. Both are very knowledgeable, helpful taking the time to listen to their customers then help you decide what is best for your needs. No up sells or pressure just friendly people running a local business. We will be back, thank you gentlemen.

Great customer service. I brought my rc car up here to find out what was wrong. The man at the front desk went over every part of my car to help find the issue and gave me a solution to fixing the issue.Note: my rc car was not the brand he carries or sells and he still have me full attention.

Gary as always is awesome I live near the Edmond location but will drive to Norman because of the phenomenal customer service provided by both Gary and Tanner. Thank you again guys you remind me why I love this hobby same as the guys in NY when I was 12 and got my.first Tamiya RC buggy.

I ordered a car from the Norman location, paid in full. Was told it would ship on July 26th. I checked with them on August 13, they still did not have the car. I found a place in town that had it- so I cancelled my order and asked for a refund. The man had an attitude, still couldn’t tell me when I could get my refund. He acted like he didn’t have the money to give me. I waited all day, went to pick up my refund and another part that I had previously ordered. When I arrived the part I ordered was wrong. I told him I didn’t want that one. He was very insistent that I buy the part anyway. I said I wasn’t paying for something I can’t use. Took my refund and left. Do not do business here, the man that works here is rude and put off my doing business.

I love this place they help me a lot with my RC Toys, got 2 new engines 3.3 and a lot of parts plus new control by the power up plans

Great place for hobbies. Miniature paints, decals, tabletop games; even vinyl records?!The store clerk was under a bit of stress with the amount of people in his store and he seemed to be the only one working.Still, between the phone calls, answering questions in store and ringing up customers, this guy was a champ. Thanks for the recomendation for the oil, used for decals.

I shop here frequently, I prefer to deal with the younger man that works there, he is always helpful and friendly. The older man is rude and lazy, always just playing video games and acts put out if he needs to help with anything. I went in to return a few things I got that werent what I needed and also to pick up some other items I did need. The younger man was busy and I stood at the counter for a few minutes while the old man played his video game and then finally decided to come help, he acted like I had no right returning items I bought from them even though they were still brand new in undamaged unopened packages and I had my receipt from the day before. I may still shop here for convenience but that is only why.

I’ve been shopping here for nearly two years now, and I can’t describe how amazing it is. I come for the Gundam model kits, and the stock there has improved greatly over the two years. Gary, the manager, is also very helpful when it comes to painting supplies, and telling me what I would need. By far the best place to go for these things.

Gary at HobbyTown is a wealth of knowledge. If I have a special project or something difficult Gary usually has the answer to my question. Tanner is also super knowledgeable and helpful.

This place is awesome. There is something for everyone. Board games check, Planes more than you can shake a stick at, RC a ton of them, Trains an entire wall of them. We spent an hour here and I feel like we could of look around and found so many more neat things.

They have a pretty good selection its all sorted but the older guy behind the counter is kinda a know-it-all sometimes thats the only problem other wise they have never not had something I need.

Had what I needed in the store. Thanks kept me from having to order from the internet and very nice customer serviceOS type F glow plugs

I live in Mustang and have many other closer choices of hobby stores to get the things I want, not to mention online. I gladly take the 45 minute drive (Each way) because the staff is helpful and friendly. They have a great selection of aircraft, off road RC vehicles, parts and building supplies. All kinds of plastic models, trains, board games, and more. every time I visit I find something new. Great store, even if you aren’t ready to buy the guys will help you understand your choices. This is my go to shop from now on.

Ive been a fan of hobby town since I was 11. Always has new stuff. I feel like a kid in a candy store here. Love seeing what they have. This place never disappoints

The owner is super friendly and helpful and while this store specializes in remote control vehicles, they have a good store of the materials needed for model making of all types and other hobby items.

Just picked up an E-Flite Valiant from here last week. Gary was really helpful and made shipping and delivery of the plane easy. They have a really wide variety of other types of RC, electronics, parts, and even vinyl. Definitely planning on coming back soon.

Alot of stuff here for traxxas and they can order it if they dont have it really good place to find stuff for hobbys

I have recently got into the RC Car hobby,I Love It. I’ve gotten a Slash 4x4,it’s amazing. The employees are always nice and helpful,but,they need to work on knowing their stock.

They seem to have no trouble getting excellent model kits building supplies at this HobbyTown in Norman. This is one of the largest ones in the state of Oklahoma so it has plenty of selection I come here regularly to get gunpla models including Building Supplies. You might want to do so yourself. Totally recommend this store.

Extremely knowledgeable and you can tell he cares about his customers. Ive had a bad experience at the hobby rc store on Santa Fe. This place was much much better

The employees had no knowledge of their products. Bought a ready to fly plane would not work strait out of the box they told me there was nothing they could do and its up to me to deal with it. Wasted money

Guy was very friendly and helpful. Had emailed him a few days prior to passing through town and asked about a couple items. He said they were actually on the way to his store. Without asking he stuck them back until I got there.

Is this place even open Ive tried calling 20 times and they wont answer their phone things that I dont live in Norman it would be nice to know if they had what I needed before I drove all the way there or if I even would know if they were open or not the website says open but they wont answer their phone

Gary is a good GM. Ive always had pleasant visits whether or not I make a purchase.

We purchased a rocket launcher kit and went directly out to fire the rocket. The igniter controller did not work. We went to return this product less than 12 hours later and the refund was refused and we have been waiting on a replacement for over a month. The owner keeps telling us when he gets another unit it he will replace it. Again its been over a month and we call every week. Do not make the mistake I have, choose another shop.

Picked up a couple drones for my kids the other day. Staff was very friendly and engaging and answered any questions I had. Didnt try to upsell anything I didnt need. I kinda already knew what I needed. Prices are very fair for a local dealer and great if you want to buy some stuff without waiting for online shopping.

My husband Tom and I love hobby town and the people that own it and work there Josh and Gary are always in good moods and help us with all our problems and questions if we need something ordered theyre more than happy to do so. Exactly as expected. had what I was looking for

Been twice. First time I asked if they carried a couple different things and was told they didnt. Second time I found out that they actually had what I had originally wanted, but an older gentleman behind the counter (probably the owner?) was loudly ranting about some conspiracy theory and it made browsing the store very unpleasant (the entire time I was there I could hear him ranting in every part of the store). At checkout, he was very rude. I like local hobby places, but if its unpleasant to shop there and they dont know their own stock Id rather just go online.

Never got a hello or a thank you. Looks like I will spend my money elsewhere.

Will not buy from this store again I was told they would hold a evevo 2.0 for me till the next day. I showed up the next day after driving all the way to Norman which isn’t close to me at all! Mind you when I called I even said can I buy it over the phone then come pick it up and was told no there is no need that they would just hold it. very very very sorry people. And on top of it the guy was like I had a costumer her with money in hand so I sold it as like I didn’t try to pay for it over the phone. The bad part is I had other parts I had in my hand I will gladly give to someone else. I had bought a xmaxx I couple months before not again the guy didn’t even say sorry. Seriously bad bad businessman.

Staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about nearly everything in stock. Will always recommend them to friends and family. I do wish they would stock up on gundam models more often, but its a fair tradeoff.
