I drive all the way from Iowa to get my lamb meat it the best taste meat in the Medwest and they have the pita bread and almost everything middle eastern . Also daily fresh cooked meals but need to call and reserve due to high demand . And must try the pastries you won’t regret it .

Great Little Gem and Middle Eastern Market! Very homestyle and the the workers are always very nice! Love all of the options of sweets and candies and nuts/seed mixes per pound! Great Meat, Fresh Bread, THE best olive oil you can get imported from the middle east! Highly recommended!

The workers very nice and polite but the Latino butcher very rude with bad temper and giving you bad look. You pay for good service happened with me more than twice. I talked to the owner about his temper.I think I gave him three chances. No more shopping there.. Too many places you can go and spend to get treated better.

The food was so fresh and delicious. I grabbed lunch was amazing . I also grabbed some healthy groceries at a great price !! Really liked it.

Best lamb ever and helpful staff. One of the men working there gave me advice I will never forget...”never buy pre-ground lamb”...they have pristine pieces and will grind it to order for you in minutes. This place had all the groceries and supplies for Mediterranean/ Middle East cooking. I feel lucky we have jewels like this in Chicago.

I love City Grocery. They are friendly and bery helpful. I love their meat and spinachnpies. They have fresh bread too, and prices are bery reasonable. I go their often and have never been disappointed.

This place is very good for your middle Eastern needs plus the halal meat section with butcher on duty and the lamb meat and ground beef mix with lamb meat and the poultry stuff as well . All very good. The guys there are very cool. I highly recommend this ace for everyone for every thing you need for food and other stuff for home. City Food & Grocery has the BEST baked savory pies!! They get sold quickly in the morning but you can call in advance for reservation. Their falafel sandwiches are so divine and the hummus is made fresh you can taste the quality. I absolutely love it here. Everyone is so friendly and it feels like family. Definitely recommend shopping here for fresh produce and yummy hot cooked meals.

Place gets fresh pita every day. They have a kitchen that makes great food. And their supermarket is stocked to the brim with everything every day! Super friendly people, good prices, and great selection. Im slowly getting everyone on this bandwagon

Solid spot for pita and groceries. They sell a ton of prepared foods on weekends, watched people line up for hummus which the cashier ceremoniously anointed with olive oil from a giant jug at the register. Seen this place my whole life and finally checked it out. I’ll be back.

Authentic Palestinian food and groceries. They used to make their own pastries before the sister passed away (RIP). The food they still make goes fast so go early or call ahead.

Pretty tight space but you can find your way around the store. It had everything I needed!

Looks like a nice little store very small but has a lot of product, I had my heart to dead set on trying the meat pie because somebody told me it was really good. I waited in line with only two people ahead of me for like 10 plus minutes and while I waited I watched what looked like a regular customer come in and start picking food with his fingers and taste testing everything as he walked around he was picking olives and peanuts nobody knows where his hands have been before he came in and with that I left.

Meat department closes very early after 4 pm mostly sometimes after 4 30 pm, but store keeps open till 8 30 pm google says.
