Matt is my service advisor and he is a superstar! My 2020 Outback needed a part that had been on backorder for a month and dut to supply chain issues, hgad no delivery date. Working with the parts department, Crews Subaru was able to locate another dealer with the needed part and drove there to get it. The folks at Crews Subaru are the best!

This is a great place to buy a car. I was over 2 hours away and had a few requests due to time constraints. Greg, Kevin, and Pam took care of our needs in a quick and courteous manner. I happened to be in the area running another errand (I live an hour away) When I stopped by the service center To inquire about my Impreza’s keys being reprogrammed. I was told that’s normally something that’s done by appointment but Alisha talked to one of the service techs And they said they would squeeze me in. Although my keys were unable to be programmed, Alisha pointed me in the right direction for the steps to take to get it repaired. Thank you for being so kind and helpful! Just another reason to love Subaru :)

If I could rate this business with ZERO STARS, I definitely would, however, Google Maps does not allow that. Crew Subaru in North Charleston, SC, is absolutely horribly terrible!!! For the past four months, Ive called them at four or five times (I lost count after the total lack of care displayed by this location). During that time, nobody, to include the Line Manager called me ZERO times - utter silence, for follow-up for at least one answer to my request/questions concerning my car. Back in June of this year (2021), my car was turned into this dealerships service center for a major repair evolution. Due to the expected lengthy timeframe of the repairs, my thought process was to have this business perform my scheduled maintenance that was due while the vehicle was there (for the extensive repair (remember, I called five times). To date, it is the eleventh hour, I called with a little more disappointed voice in hopes they would actually listen & understand my needs & STILL, no call back. Obviously Customer Service here does NOT have the customers satisfaction as one of their priorities. Actions speak louder than words, and this business is a direct NEGATIVE representation of that popular quote. Additionally, an integral OEM part ordered from this dealership arrive defective - thank you for making my life much difficult), resulting in an exponential delay in repairing my vehicle. I do NOT recommend having your car serviced at this dealership.

We were on vacation in Charleston when our ABS and traction control lights came on. My husband went to an auto parts store in the area and replaced the part that was called for however the lights stayed on. We took a chance and stopped in at Crews. Even though we did not have an appointment and they were busy they ran a diagnostic check on it and advised the same part my husband had just replaced was the issue. The mechanic took the time to thoroughly examine the issue and found the problem. Seems while replacing another part before we left home in Indiana my husband accidentally did something backwards causing the current issue. We are so grateful to Crews service department for going the extra mile and for taking care of the problem in a very timely manner! The cost was very minimal and we were able to continue our vacation in your beautiful city.. Thank you Crews Subaru!!

Hands down the best experience I have had at a car dealership. Saw they had a 2021 Outback in the exact configuration I wanted so I got there at opening for a test drive. The car had come off the truck the night before and was still in plastic. Millet was a great sales person. Answered my questions, and found the exact car I wanted. Handed me the keys and told to try it out. When I was satisfied the Sales manager Kevin Madeo almost immediately gave me the invoice comparison and showed me what I would be paying. He also discounted a dealer add on. No four square or other math puzzles. Just the out the door number I wanted to see. This is how you sell people cars. Not by confusing them. Was in and out within 2 hours or so. Couldnt be happier with my dealership experience. And the giant desk screen you sign stuff on in the finance office is amazing!

*Edit (below original post)* A little disappointed, a simple oil change. The good: with the little interaction I had with the staff, they seemed pretty nice, friendly, and professional. The oil change was also done in a relatively timely manner. The not so good: the most basic oil change cost me just shy of $80.00. While I do understand its a dealership and that will almost always be more expensive, $80 is still on the high side. Whats worse, in my case, no military discount. Ive grown not to expect a discount, but its still appreciated and can be a deciding factor for certain choices in my life. This being one of them. If I need simple car repairs that I currently cannot do myself, Im going to choose elsewhere. Or for $80 I (or you) can practically buy the tools needed to complete the job personally. If I were to need more in-depth repairs, I would have to find out more about their prices. Many other Subaru dealerships Ive been to across the country have, what seems to be, cheaper everything, even without a discount of any kind.*Edit: The manager tried calling me to fix this issue, unfortunately I was unable to answer due to being on duty. On the plus side, they realized there was an error and credited my account! Human errors happen all the time, you cant be mad about that. A dealership and manager that are willing to go above and beyond to find and correct that error, is deserving of a five star review in my opinion.

I brought my Outback to their service area recently to have a new key fob programmed. I arrived there with a working backup camera but realized shortly after I left, that it was no longer working. I called them back to explain what was going on and asked if something could have gotten accidentally messed up while they were working with my car. I was quickly dismissed as it not being possible and that my camera must be broken and completely unrelated. I followed up with an email to the person who handled my service and never received a reply. So, working on the info that my camera must be in fact broken, I brought it to another business to have a new camera installed. I told them nothing other than that my back up camera no longer works. Later that day after receiving a call that my car was ready, I entered the shop and was told the problem was solved. They asked if I had service done on the vehicle recently and I told them I was at Crews Subaru when the camera ceased to function. They told me that the camera had been unplugged and it only could have been done by someone working under the hood (my hood was open while my key was being programmed). Thankfully, this other company was honest and got my camera working again instead of selling me a new one, which they easily could have done. The fact that Crews Subaru so quickly dismissed my concerns as “impossible” is insulting. They couldn’t even be bothered to entertain the possibility that an accident had occurred while they had my vehicle. I won’t be returning to Crews for anything else moving forward and would advise anyone using their service to be aware that they are less than honest.

After searching all over, my wife and I bought our first car from here! They were absolutely awesome to work with, and had an absolutely no pressure atmosphere! They let us test drive a car that wasnt even officially on the lot yet, and were just overall nice people! When we eventually decided to purchase our Outback a few days later, they gave us a really good finance rate, and made the process so easy! We are definitely considering them for our next car! I gave blood at this dealership and was given a coupon for services. I called and spoke to Dominica and she gave me an appointment for the next day for 2pm. I sent my husband to get the oil change and was told that the appointment was for the day before. Dominica told me she had nothing available for that day and thats how I got the 2pm appointment. They also told my husband that they didnt know why she made this appointment because Subaru customers are always first no matter what. I feel this is very poor customer service on their part. This makes me know not to do business with this dealership.

Well let me tell you Subaru in Charlston treated me like a true valued customer! They received me with open arms and made me feel like a celebrity!!! Came in for a new Subaru Crosstrek. I had already done my own personal research in what exactly I was looking for in my next vehicle and what kind of features I wanted. I was drawn to the amount of safety features that Subaru offers for a reasonable price. I test drove a Crosstrek first with Rhett first and then took about 2 weeks to decide what model and specs that I wanted. After attempting to find a vehicle in the color that I wanted originally through another dealership, I decided to go with one that Rhett had to offer for almost the same price with even more features! The team were very thorough and helpful through the whole process and took care of almost everything! Pam handled the financing which was very smooth and easy to understand. Just nowNEWExcellent customer service! I got my 2019 Subaru Crosstrek LTD 2 years ago and have been nothing short of thoroughly impressed with the vehicle and the Crews Subaru crew. I had an appointment for 9:30AM on 8/12/2021 for some standard work but some that I definitely expected to take most of the day... Heres where Crews continues to impress:(1) I was able to drop it off after hours the night before with their secure night box. (2) Michaela promptly called as soon as their service shop opened to let me know that the car would be ready by 3PM and to call if I had any questions. (3) WoW! I got a call back from her to tell her that it was ready at 12PM! Awesome!! And the cherry on top, (4) They washed the car and did a beautiful job at that! Bonus (5) Ms. Sierra was incredibly sweet when my husband and I came to pick up, she even offered us a coffee or water before we left ♥️ We were all wearing masks (excellent Covid-19 precautions here!) but I could tell she was smiling and her care when checking us out made the whole experience that much better.Thank you all at Crews Subaru! You have a customer for life!

We’ve always had great experiences with Subaru dealerships, but unfortunately, that was NOT the case this time. One of the tires on my outback needed to be replace due to a nail in it that was not patchable...hazard of my job, I guess (Realtor). I called and ordered it, and was told they would call me when it came in. In the meantime, I was trying to drive as little as possible, which with my job, is very difficult. A week went by, and no call. Finally I called the dealership, to very nonchalantly be told that yes, my tire had been there. When asked why I didn’t get a call as promised, the guy just said “I don’t know”. Very frustrating. Fast forward to the present. Made the appt, tire’s been replace. I leave the dealership and head for home (almost 30 minutes away). I’m a few minutes from home when I notice the tire sensor light is still on. Call the dealership, and the woman says “why don’t you just bring it back in”. I honestly didn’t have time for that at that moment, and don’t under why that wasn’t checked before the car was given back to me. I told her that, and was once again given the answer of “I don’t know”. I received a call from Subaru asking about my experience, and I indicated “dissatisfied” and was told I would receive a call from a manager. No call...and that was weeks ago. I guess Subaru doesn’t value my business. We are in the process of selling this car and I can GUARANTEE that it will NOT be replaced with another Subaru. Disappointed is an understatement. If I could have given “zero stars”, I would have...but that wasn’t an option.

Staff is only friendly if you are there in person. Communication is awful. When someone has your vehicle you need them to update you . My daughter had an appointment on 5/19 and just now at 2:00 on the 20th is getting a call that they know she needs a new transmission but have no idea when it will be in.This is the second lousy visit we have had with this group so we will be dumping this car as soon as possible since they are the only Subaru dealership in the area.

Dropped by to take a look at new Subarus. We met and chatted with Aaron and made a spur of the moment purchase. We traded in our Honda because of the terrible service department at Stokes and drove away with a 2020 Forester Sport. The entire process was painless, fair, friendly, and informative. Every staff member we interacted with was professional and eager to be of assistance without being intrusive or pushy. Follow-up was great as well, heck we even got a $25 gas card for letting them help us learn about all the eyesight features on our new Subaru. We love the vehicle, the staff and hopefully well love the service department as well when we need to visit them. Ill update as that happens. All in all a great car buying experience, go to Crews and buy a Subaru...from Aaron Klatt if he is around, he is very helpful and genuinely interested in seeing you get the right vehicle for your needs. The entire operation gets an A+ from me!Follow up...1st oil change/tire rotation etc. service experience went very well and I am happy to report that the service department and I are off to a great start. Very helpful and laid back sales team who will help you through the car buying process. Service and parts are great along with the detail department. They aren’t your typical dealership. I went to seven other dealerships, listening to hook after hook on how they would give me top dollar for my car and I would benefit from buying a car from them. However, this was not the case at Crews Subaru. I was approached by a salesman immediately and I thought here we go as I opened my door, but to my surprise there was no pitch and no desperate urge for me to stay longer. Mike was my salesman and was absolutely amazing, he helped me narrow down the car that fit my needs perfectly, got me the best deal and even encouraged a third party sale for my car so I could get max value and less monthly payments. Fantastic experience. I got a 21 point check and had my recalled airbag replaced. The staff was knowledgeable, personable, and thorough; they walked me through every task they had done. And the PRICES! They didn’t up sell me anything even though I was a young girl, and they gave me the lowest price I’ve ever heard of for the repairs I needed. They were also very conscious of Covid precautions. All in all I can’t say enough good things.

So disappointed in the used car sales manager, Jerry. Found the perfect car for my mom, spoke to the sales rep today at noon who confirmed theyd hold the car until tomorrow morning. Begged to get tomorrow off work to drive to Charleston from Fayetteville, get all the paperwork ready and then I get a call 30 minutes before they close that they sold the car. I hadnt haggled or anything, and took them at their word. That was MY mistake. Wont happen again.

I just purchased a 2017 Subaru Legacy from Crews Subaru. My sales associate was Bill Morton. I had a wonderful experience at Crews Subaru. I told them what I was able to pay and asked for their best price. It was virtually haggle free and I walked out of there with a deal that was fair for both parties. I got the safe, reliable and highly rated vehicle I wanted and I was in and out of the dealership in 30 minutes! Bill ended up delivering the vehicle to us the next day. If you are in the market for a new, or used vehicle, I highly recommend Crews Subaru and Bill Morton in particular. No BS just up front and honest from the beginning to the end of the buying process. Buying a vehicle is suppose to be fun but unfortunately many dealerships play games to try to squeeze every last penny out of the customer. This was not the case at Crews and when we are searching for another vehicle they will be on our short list of dealerships to do business with.

*Disclaimer* this is for the service department onlyRUN! as fast as you can away from this service repair department!!! Take your car anywhere but here!My ordeal started back in May when I took my car in for an airbag light that was on and the fact that my car did not “chime” when locking the door. This turned into the service department telling me that a rat had chewed the wires in the car – which they wanted to repair (not replace). This is a 2017 car with less than 30,000 miles, so a repair was not a reasonable option.Luckily, my insurance company let me file a claim and they accepted it. So, $4800 dollars later, my insurance company had paid for the repair. Meanwhile, Subaru had my car FOR OVER 8 WEEKS. They charged my insurance company for 30 some hours of labor when, somehow it magically got done in 15 (do you see where this is going??) Get it back and within 2 weeks I get in, and all the lights on the dashboard are flashing. Call Matt at service department, they don’t have an appointment for another week (which in hindsight, I should have taken it back up there immediately.) The day comes for me to take it in, they tell me it’s the speed sensor, “We’ll have it fixed in 30 minutes.” Matt then comes out to tell me “Another rat has chewed the wires again” ANOTHER RAT!!! I asked if this was covered under the $4800 piece that I had fixed less than 2 weeks earlier, was told NO, but they could fix it for $169. (MORE MONEY) He hands me the piece that the “rat chewed” and after asking me if the car is garage kept and how I need to order mothballs to place under the hood ???? to deter these rats.He then takes me into the office to say “I’ve never seen anything like this…and that I should file a claim with Subaru America, but “don’t mention that he said that.” So I did. Filed a claim under the preconceived notion that this was a rat that somehow found only my car (not my husbands etc) TWICE and to please offer some help. When I got home with the piece that he had given me, I gave it to my husband and he very quickly and clearly identified that this piece was cut with wire cutters!!! He lined up the cuts exactly! Not proven, but we think that this is the piece from a different wire harness – or the original!So we called to insurance company to let them know that Crews Subaru had basically made up what was wrong with the car – either that they didn’t know what was wrong or how to fix it (which if they would have just admitted it, WE WOULD HAVE TAKEN IT ELSEWHERE!) Insurance tells us to get a second opinion, so we did and guess what? There is not/ nor has been a rat in my car! If you know anything about rats, they eat, poop, and pee ALL IN THE SAME AREA – guess was wasn’t in the car? Any of those things! The original problem didn’t even have to do with the harness that they replaced! The new place found that they even hooked the wires up backwards – BACKWARDS! AT A PLACE THAT SERVICES SUBARUS!!! Crews Subaru/ Matt flat out lied - about the original problem, the time to fix it, and what was wrong the 2 weeks after I got the car back. Almost comically, the new repair shop had it fixed within 3 days and it runs exactly the way its supposed to, with no lights having come on the dashboard.I will never step foot in Crews Subaru again – if I have a manufacturer recall, I will take to ANY OTHER SUBARU dealer in the country before I would EVER go here again. It cost me a (false) claim with my insurance company, over 8 weeks without a car, another couple of thousand dollars paying for what Crews messed up and an all around distaste for the fact that there are places that will lie and not accept any responsibility like its day to day business. Seriously, Byron downtown could probably have done a better job fixing (or admitting he didn’t know how) than Crews Subaru. The fact that they get away with this is absolutely appalling.A problem that started at the end of May 2020 was resolved September 3rd with my car being fixed correctly (not at Crews.) Seriously, go anywhere but here for Subaru repair.

I had a wonderful car-buying experience with Steve and the rest of the sales/finance team: never felt like I was being up-sold and every one was pleasant to talk with. I drove up from Jacksonville, FL and purchased a 2015 Honda Accord V6 Coupe from Crews Subaru on 11/7/2020. The Sales Team was totally outstanding in the service provided by them. My issue is after the purchase and dealing with title services, accounting, etc. The customer service becomes horrendous at best, they dont return your phone calls and they treat like you are nothing even though I just spent several thousands of dollars with them. It is 12/5/2020 and my paper tag expires on 12/7/2020 and I still dont have my tag paperwork.I spoke with Mr. Kevin Madeo on 12/10/2020 and he investigated the issue. Mr. Madeo came back to me and explain the entire situation to me about why my tag paperwork was held up. His communication with me is what was missing until I spoke to him. So let me personally say THANKS to Mr. Madeo for putting my mind at ease! I will definitely do business with Crews Subaru again because of the level of service provided by Mr. Kevin Madeo.

They are a top notch car dealership. Customer service is great. Upon finalization of deal of which we paid cash we asked if Crews would make a donation to a scholarship fund setup with the Community Foundation of the CSRA Augusta GA) in memory of our 19 year old grandson. Scholarships are granted to students at his high school (North Augusta HighSchool) in SC of which he graduated in 2014. To date 30 $1,000 scholarships have been given to high school seniors there. To date we have not been notified of any contribution by Crews and the car was purchased 6 weeks earlier. Even if a donation is never made we will still give our Subaru business to Crews.

Took my car for an appt for an airbag recall. Friendly service, but they said they would provide a loaner. When I arrived they out of loaners. Not sure how this happens when I have an appointment, which was scheduled for about a month in advance. They got me a rental, but they were out of everything but minivans. Theres got to be a better way to plan in advance for customers with appointments.

Buying our 2020 Subaru from Crews Subaru was a positive experience for the most part. The salesman was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable without being too pushy. The only downer, and this issue isn’t just with Crews Subaru, is they persisted in trying to sell me stuff I didn’t want nor need while doing the financial details. This came even after I told the salesman they shouldn’t try to sell me additional warranties, etc.

Great place to keep your Subaru running at its best. Staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable. Whether I’m taking my car in for a service or just picking up parts to do it myself, they’re always very helpful. Highly recommend for regular maintenance like oil changes, it was at least $15 cheaper than Jiffy Lube, plus they do a complimentary Subaru multipoint inspection to check that everything else is running good and let you know when you might need some upcoming maintenance (ie tires, brakes, fluids). Always a great experience at this location!

Always a pleasant experience! The prices are very competitive with other shops, and come with a study warranty. I dealt with Johnathan Pirkel today for 4 tires, Mont, balance, and alignment, and he did an excellent job with the service! We love having our cars serviced at Crews Subaru. Matt and Shawn are extremely helpful, and I never feel pressure to do something I don’t want or need. They are very trustworthy. The waiting facilities are great, but they are also wonderful about offering loaner cars for longer waits. With the addition of express service where you don’t need an appointment for a quick oil change, I can’t imagine going anywhere else.

We have been Subaru owners since 2017 with our first Outback from Subaru of Hilton Head. There is where we met Kevin Madeo and his sales team. The negotiation was quick, fair, and transparent. Since then we moved up to Charleston and were ready for a new Subaru. We contacted Crews Subaru and found out that Kevin was now in this dealership and we couldn’t have been happier. With very little back and forth, we are now driving a 2020 Subaru Ascent which we love. Kevin and his new team, including George Cirone, treated us like family with no fuss. Ive only driven 20 miles since my 2020 Forester was delivered to my home, due to shelter-in-place rules. My experience of actually choosing and buying the car at Crews Subaru of Charleston was very positive. I thank the enlightened and no-pressure-allowed Crews sales staffs behavior toward me during a particularly vulnerable time. My elderly Toyota Prius had given up the ghost a few days before, leaving me without transportation during a national health crisis. Although Im a woman experienced in buying a home, Ive never bought a car on my own. Primary kudos, however, go to my neighbor Robert, a very intelligent, patient, kind man and lifelong purchaser of vehicles, who spent over three hours with me at Crews. From the time we arrived at the dealership, he asked all the right questions and guided me step-by-step through the actual purchase.At some point, after a Covid-19 vaccine assures our safety, Ill learn how to use all the bells and whistles on my new Subaru Forester from Crews Subaru of Charleston. The service team is awesome to deal with. When the check engine light came on I was taken in without an appointment and the defective item was replace. Then when it came on again they keep our car and give me a loaner to drive until they could find out what was wrong. It turn out the the new sensor that was replaced. The new sensor turn out to be defective and they replaced the it with a new one and now the car is fixed and runs great. A big thank to Sean and the service team

My car was just slightly out of the 24,000 warranty and he totally helped me out with my last complementary service. Although I had been interested in a Subaru for years, I finally made the decision to get one. From the sales process to the purchasing process, Crews Subaru could not have made the process easier. I have already recommended to others that they check them out. The cars sell themselves, but the dealer makes all of the hurdles to buying a car go away.
