Last September my husband and I brought my all-wheel drive SUV in to this store and paid almost $1000 for the tires to be done. During the process, they put 3 size 235 tires on and 1 size 225 tire on without our knowledge. The day after we picked up my car, a light came on and we called in concern. “Don’t worry about it, a sensor got knocked loose.” It was not just a sensor. For seven months, I drove on one wrong-size tire. During this time, I became pregnant. Ultimately, due to the smaller tire, my front axels blew and it also caused the transfer case to go out. Upon further inspection, we found the smaller tire. We were in shock; the entire time we had been driving a vehicle with different-sized tires; the lives of us, the drivers, and our unborn baby were endangered unknowingly. When we contacted the store, we were talked down to, told we “didn’t know what we were talking about” (by a manager), and began a months-long confrontation with the corporate offices who told us we “were liars and ha[d] no proof” (we had pictures for that very reason). We were denied a refund and it took REproducing the photos in order to even get a response in concern to fixing my car. They threatened to decline the case, knowing they were wrong. It is one year later, and I have just received my car back (fixed by a DIFFERENT company, who laughed at the damning state it was in) and my baby is two months old. This company is very lousy, very corrupt, and will do anything for a quick buck. DO NOT bring your business or car here. If you do or have, double check their work- they could be screwing up your car too. I would give 0 stars if possible, and they will never receive business from my family again.

These guys are awesome!!! I called in a panic on a Sunday morning with a flat (and under a time crunch), and they were able to get me in promptly and did a great job on the repair, with beyond reasonable prices. The whole team here was positive, and so kind. As a solo woman traveler, I felt taken care of and not taken advantage of (not always the case when I go to auto shops), so thank you guys for being fantastic!

TL;DR First they patched my tire. Then they claimed the tire was never patched. Dishonest shop with poor communication. Bring your car somewhere else, or prepare yourself to waste hours of your life.This review is the culmination of two visits attempting to have a tire patched. On the first visit, I dropped off the car and left my phone number. When I returned to pick it up, I was asked where the wheel key was. My fault for forgetting to mention it, but they could have called me to ask. Waited an additional two hours while they got around to patching it. A few days later, I noticed the tire was still leaking slowly.Today, I went back to have them look at it and replace the patch to get it to stop leaking. After much arguing, it was found that the tire did have a hole, and that hole was not patched. It seems that the first time I brought the car, they simply removed the nail, charged me, and sent me on my way.This time around, they let me know that the hole was too close to the sidewall to repair and attempted to sell me a new tire. Not wanting to do business with a shop that had treated me so poorly, I opted to leave. The tech wanted to air up all my tires to get me set to go.When it was time to go, I pulled into a parking space to make sure everything was good to go. I found that the tech had left two of my valve stem caps off. I went back to the shop to ask for the caps and was told that he didnt have them, and never took them off (?). After looking around, we found one cap in the middle of the bay floor. The other cap is simply lost. They insist they didnt lose it, but clearly did.

The employees were friendly, knowledgeable and quick to answer questions. However, 6 hours for 2 new tires and an oil change seems ridiculous, in peak sales hours or not. Also, may I recommend a better ordering system to meet sales demands.

I remind them of my previous car and it turns out that these people from this workshop did not see the truth

This rating is for any firestone you go to! It seems I always get terrible service no matter what one I go to! Even when you have a very simple issue, it seems to take all day!! The people are nice and out of all the locations this is the only location that seems to care about their costumers but the service it terrible! I had bought tires here and bought the hazard insurance! I was losing air pressure in one tire and needed it checked out!! Something I thought would be a simple fix ending up taking 4 hours! If you have time to waste, get your tires at firestone! If you are looking for an efficient place to get tires get them elsewhere!

Point: Watch out for additional service costsI had an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation, and everything went smoothly. They brought to my attention that it would be beneficial to change my engine and cabin air filter, and I agreed to the service. Generally, that type of service only costs an additional 10 dollars or so, however in this case, it cost me an extra $110. It would have been nice to know the cost of service before being blind sided with nearly a $200 bill. I will NEVER come back to FireStone.

If I could give this store zero stars I would. Purchased a $230 dollar tire, walked out to leave after paying and noticed that the tire installed was a completely different model than the other three on my truck. Pointed it out to the manager and technician (who looked like they were still in high school) and they both laughed at it like it was no big deal. Had to wait an extra day just for the right tire to come in. No discount, half a** apology, and lack of professionalism to say the least. When I bring in a 30k dollar truck, I expect it to be taken care of, and treated by the technicians like it is their own. Attention to detail...... Definitely recommend staying away from these punks!

The service was really good. The employees are helpful and will offer suggestions based upon costs. I am pleased with the service but was surprised y an unexpected cost regarding rotors. The vehicle does travel into icy conditions that have salt deposits on the highway to melt the ice. They will examine discounts as much as they can to assist with costs. Overall I am happy to receive service on a Sunday and understand factors that contribute to the maintenance of my rotors.

Although they didnt have many mechanics, the staff at Firestone took their time to talk and interact with customers. They explained thoroughly what was wrong with my car and showed patience in the midst of my confusion.Due to personal issues my mechanic had to rest while working on my car, however he took the time to explain to me the issue and did his best to get my car fixed and get me out onto the road at the time agreed upon.

They were awesome !! 👏👏👏. I needed to update my Lyft inspection and got off work a little late. I arrived like 10 mins before they closed and they got me in. I was sooooo happy. This particular location was SUPER helpful b/c they had ALL the UBER/ LYFT forms on hand ♥️♥️♥️♥️. I will be coming back here every time I need an inspection. I had a nail in my tire. I called before I came. I was told they could fit me right in. Then I get there 5 minutes later, after pumping my tire up so I can go to one place only. And Im told 1.5 - 2 hours is my wait. And I was surprised. Then I was asked, do you want to go up the road to another company who is not as busy? And I said, no Ill just do business here. And I told the gentleman who was not really a gentleman actually, that I was just surprised. And he was abrupt to say he understands. But, the way he did it was just so rude and quick and to brush me off. I already had one problem. I didnt need another. I drove up the road and somebody fix my tire within 30 minutes without complaining.

Poor service. Scheduled an appointment, showed up 15mins early, no one was working the front desk.Stood in the lobby and called, phone rang, no one came to pick it up.Thought I had to drive my car around to the car bay, nope that didnt work either.Went back to the lobby, someone came out finally once I started calling the phone. They told me to wait.After 30 mins after the original appointment with no acknowledgement, I went over to SpeeDees instead.There I was out the door in 45, and could have avoided all the hassle of Firestone

I was able to get right in after speaking with him over the phone; he was welcoming and professional. Tony listened to my needs, concerns and questions, making sure each point was addressed. RELIABLE & AFFORDABLEI went in to have both my brake pads changed because Chevy told me it needed to be done. Firestone gave me a better estimate & told me my brake pads had at least 40,000 miles left & were more than half life. I can’t see why they would need to lie, it doesn’t benefit them.

My fiance bought 4 new tires for his Hyundai Elantra. Not even a month after the back right tire blew on i95, we had to get a tow truck and they took the tire off and discovered the bead around the rim had been damaged when putting the tire on the rim. So they repaired it and had us on our way. Then a week after that the front left tire would not hold air in it. I took the car back to the Firestone, and they replaced the two tires and we still had to pay $70 and another $30 to put roadside assistance back on those two tires. I am not sure if it was just luck or if they messed them up putting them on but then for us to have pay them to fix what was messed up in the their shop was irritating especially after just spending hundreds to get new tires. We will be trying another place in the future we expected better quality from Firestone but I guess we will shop around more next time.

I brought my car in at 10:20am on 29 November because of a nail in my rear passenger tire. Since I didnt have an appointment, I didnt mind having to wait nearly an hour and a half; the time that they quoted me to be the approximate wait time. After 1.5 hours, I was told that they didnt have the tire at that location to match the other 3 tires. As a replacement, I was offered an upgrade tire which they had at the Northwoods location. I was advised that it would only cost $68.00 due to the upgrade warranty. Since I had purchased 4 tires less than 24 months ago and the tires were still under warranty, I opted to have them retrieve the same make and brand tire from another Firestone store. I was told that the wait time would be approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. I will admit that a manager and sales person approached me shortly before noon to advise me that the tire was going to be sent from Mt. Pleasant. Somehow there was some sort of mix-up about ordering the tire and getting to the Northwoods location and thats when things fell apart. Long story short, the tire arrived after 3:00! At first I was told that they would waive the fee since I had to wait such a long time, however, I had to remind them that there shouldnt be any fees since my tires were still under warranty. Nice men; slow service. Please note that Im not complaining about my initial wait time. I expected a reasonable wait time, especially since I arrived without an appointment, however, the wait time that I experienced was excessive. It was an even bitter pill to swallow since when I purchased my tires initially, I had the identical inconvenience of my time. Again, nice men; slow service.

He wont try to sell you things that you dont need and that is what I look for when I bring my car in for service. I was getting ready to travel to Maryland when all of a sudden, my tire went out. I brought my car in only to discover that I had 4 nails in my rear tire. After I explained my situation, the techs got me in - ahead of the other cars they were working on and ona Sunday morning - and replaced my tire for a very fair price. I highly recommend this place. The customer service was awful. I was charged 30.00 for a tire repair. The lady that checked out ahead of me stormed out after interacting with the cashier. I wish I would have looked at his name. I asked if there were any cups for the complimentary coffee. The guy just looked at me, then ignored my question. I do not recommend this shop for anything. The guy was over charging customers, and offering terrible customer service. Find another rapair place for your auto needs. I definitely will not be returning. I visited on 1/12/19 @ 5:20p.m.. Easy drop off service and great staff who was able to answer all my questions. They did such a great job on my charger that I have another appointment for my Durango. Understaffed, and limited tech competency. St tech was nasty and rude, and if I were ever addressed in that fashion by a co worker we would be headed to arbitration. There were good and services that were misdiagnosed and hardware I did not receive. The pricing is now above industry norms. All in all based on this and a visit to another location with out resolution I believe it is time to find another shop and company.

Spent a lot of money on service and tires at this place over a period of several years. They told me that my 2004 Honda Element was due for a new timing belt as it had reached the 90,000 mile mark. EXPENSIVE. They said they had a guy there who was very experienced with this repair on this model. Went home, did some research and discovered that my Honda does not have a timing belt. It has a timing chain which is good for 250K miles. Creepy experience.

We took our 2012 Chrysler Minivan to Firestone because it was overheating. My brother (who was borrowing this vehicle) thought it could be a hose or something but when he brought it in, Firestone said they would do a “Cooling System Pressure Test” which would determine what the real problem is.When they were done, they had replaced some hoses TOTAL: $326.15 Note: Alan at the counter was super helpful and a great communicator.A few days later, it overheated again. Took it back. They decided to experiment with a new water pump installation. - Guess that didn’t show up on their “Cooling System Pressure Test”?All said and done TOTAL: $485.82A few days later, it overheated again. Took it back. They decided to further their experiment with a Thermostat/Housing (I later found out Thermostat always is supposed to be replaced when you get a new water pump) - Again, Guess that didn’t show up on Firestones “Cooling System Pressure Test”? TOTAL: $99* Note* They didn’t charge us for this but they made sure we knew this was a favor, (prob embarrassed they didn’t install in the first place) but we also got the impression they were done with us… they put in final parting notes, “COOLANT LEAK/ VAN IS OLD AND HAS OTHER HOSES AND THINGS THAT CAN GO BAD. SUCH AS A RADIATOR OR OTHER HOSES” ie; we just have no idea what’s wrong with your antique jalopy.In the midst of this I came across a receipt that showed we had just replaced the hoses less than a year ago!Anyway...A few days later, it overheated again. Took it back > but to a DIFFERENT place this time (yes took a while to learn our lesson) This nearby mechanic did a “Cooling System Pressure Test” that works and in 1 day had us out the door with a new Intake Manifold Gasket Set- Once again I Guess that didn’t show up on Firestone’s “Cooling System Pressure Test”? . Good News - No overheating since! Even drove 250 miles in 90 degree weather… This TOTAL: $999.95So basically we spent 20 days spinning our wheels with $811.97 wasted at FIRESTONE with false diagnosis & experiments that never worked. If you want your vehicle correctly diagnosed without guesswork and a waste of time and money, my recommendation is to go elsewhere.

Lied to me about what services they could provide. Was worse after i got the vehicle back. Did replace the part that i need replaced okay but obviously bill you for higher quality items that you actually receive. Will not go back here. Ended up fixing the rest of my issues on my own and running much better. Dont trust mechanics especially when they charge you $100/hr for some jobs that will in reality only require 30 minutes of work.

They are also very expensive.You come in for an oil change, theyll call you saying you need a battery, etc etc. DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM. Do your own research on what your car needs! I called to see if they could take one tire off of my car for the wheel to be repaired and then remount it as well. I told them it was a low profile run flat tire. They said they could do it. I drove up there, and wanted to inspect the wheel with the technician before the work was done to note that there were no blemishes on the wheel. As soon as I told the service rep this, they said they didnt want to do the work because they would most likely scratch the wheel while taking the tire off. So they were honest, but had I not expressed my wish for damage-free work, thats what I would have received.

Terrible business. I brought my car in for AC problems and then general stuff like tire pressure. After leaving the AC wasnt working as it should and the tire pressure light was still on so I scheduled to bring it back in a few days to have them correct the issues. The AC ended up working correctly after a couple days and has continued working but when they were looking at it I mentioned the tire pressure didnt get done last time. The guy looked me dead in the face and said he was my tech last time, he did it, and my sensor was broken. He went on an entire soliloquy about how people are so disengaged from their cars and unless if I wanted to spend a lot of money on a useless sensor I just needed to occasionally check it myself. Thats not a problem and i did check it but the psi was crazy low and after inflating the tires myself the pressure light went away. I also realized that half of the caps to check my tire pressure are gone after going to Firestone. So if I have to spend 2 days and 9 hours with you guys maybe swallow your pride, kill the ego, and just pay attention to such basic parts of your job.

This fire stone service center replaced my the driver side tie rod 3 months ago. They used heated and hammered on the old tie rod to remove it and didnt secure the rubber boot on the tie rod correctly. This had a part in causing a Electric Power Steering Mod to fail on my Ram 1500. The Electric Power Steering Mod is rare to fail on these truck.

Took my Honda Civic for an alignment, they worked on the car for 2.5 hours, I picked it up and immediately felt the car pulling to the left. I returned 2 days later to have the car checked, they told me I needed an alignment!!!😳 I told the guy I just had it here for an alignment 2 days ago, he said “ they must not have done it correctly “ ..”so we will redo it free”!! Be extremely cautious when you take your car here, like most shops, they’re in it to rip you off!! They’re all about the up sale, trying to get you for more than you need!!

Bought 2 tires, a couple days later saw a bubble on tire. The gentleman says I hit a curb to cause it and its not covered under the warranty. 1). I was told he didnt have thay particular tire in stock. I ask about another tire similar to it. He said hell check. But in his search he found my particular tire. He can put it on but no gaurantee they would get to it because it was 4:30 at the time and they had alot of services and closed at 7. I live in Charleston..pot holes are apart of our lives. I did not hit a curve it was an unseen pothole on east bay street. Anyway, he wanted me to leave my car or bring back in the morning. I work 3am- 430pm 5 days aweek. I dont have that luxury. 2). He offered to put my donut on. I will not ride on that in Charleston. Its not safe. 3). Since I caused the damage I would have to pay for a brand new tire. In a way, I can understand but its a rip off. Should have gone to Geralds like someone suggested to purchase my tires. At lease they would have given me the tire at a discount. Lesson learned.

THIS PLACE SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Went for new tires and oil change and ask to look at my brakes cause they were rattling very bad. And did not make noise when hitting the brakes. So of course its the brakes. And they told me it was the struts and wasnt the brakes which they wouldnt look at. Which would be about 1300 dollars for them. So i left and took it some where else and and had it fixed for 60 dollars. No more rattling. North Woods Firestone sucks and the lady working at the counter

Sunday, (Mothers Day) my girlfriend took her truck there complaining of a noise in the front wheels. The truck was supposedly put up on the rack and looked over. With attention paid to the front brakes and suspension. They could not find the problem because The mechanic that really knew about cars is not here today. Can you bring it back tomorrow? Her answer was decidedly no!Today (first time I get to look at the truck in the daylight) I find three of the five lug nuts loose on her left front tire. I mean loose not even touching the rim to hold it on the truck. These I tightened up which she says has completely fixed the initial problem of Noise in the front wheels.Maybe you ought to stick to changing oil if you cant spot a loose lug nut while looking over a vehicle for noise in the wheels.You have my name look me up before you decide I do not know what I am talking about.Start at Pep Boys and ask Tom Fletcher about me. Next you can go to Jones Ford and talk to some of the mechanics that have been there for a while, and finally you can go to Jimmys and talk to Matt or my youngest son if he is there. In other words I know what I am talking about.

Worst service ever. Went for oil cgange and they tried to upsell me on serpentine belt and told me my brake fluid was burnt and I had just had a complete brake job the day prior. Oh, and btw, 2 and a half ours later they said they did not have the right filter so I had to wait even more. I gave it 1 star because there was not any lower score availible.

Dropped car off on Friday to change the caliper and housing expected it to take until Saturday because thats what i was told. Show up an hour before closing after calling throughout the day to check in on the vehicle. Parts where not even order yet. Next day same deal I call them to see when its done. Fond out they ordered the wrong parts. A Couple hour job maybe turned into 3 days without a vehicle.

I went there with the intention of paying to get a leaking tire patched. My attempt at repairing with a rope plug was not successful. Upon telling them that this tire had been repaired twice in two different areas, I was told that they were not allowed to repair tires that had been plugged twice. I was informed that their policy was to replace the entire tire. So I asked them to quote replacing the tire with an exact replacement. They did not carry the Bridgestone tire that I had and told me that none of their stores in South Carolina, North Carolina, or Georgia carried this tire. That seemed strange since it was readily available their stores the past two times I needed tires and it is still an active model per the Bridgestone website. Also, the rep would not order this directly from Bridgestone for me and proceeded to quote me a different tire. I had already provided the model and size of my current tire to him. He then went out to my vehicle to check the size of the tire. My suspicion is that he wanted to look at the condition of the tire and the amount of tread present. The tire that would be a mismatch model to my other 3 tires was quoted at a discounted rate as a warranty issue even though I did not buy any warranty for road hazards and the tire was 3 years old. My suspicion is that he saw that this was a nice tire and had plenty of tread. Therefore it could be patched and re-sold by them for a profit. That is just my unfounded guess. So I left without going for their proposal and went to Geralds. They patched the tire for free (even though I wanted to pay them for it). I do not like to feel like I am getting hustled when doing something as simple as trying to pay to get a tire patched.

These guys are quick and prompt, they noticed after my car came back from being supposedly completely fixed by the dealer for oil spills they immediately found out the car had no oil in it. Instead of charging me for the $25 inspection they let me call the dealer to come tow the car to get it properly fixed.

I have not decided if this place is incompetent or just thieves. Towed my car here due to a fuel pump issue. Later in the day got a call quoting $850+ repair bill stating a need to replace a burned out fuel pump due to the gunk that shorted it out. Way out of my price range, so called the dealership which quoted me $600 for a new fuel pump. Called back firestone and told them I will tow my car later to the dealership. After work dropped by the firestone to tow my car, put my key in the ignition the car starts right up. So i have not yet decided if:1. they cleaned out the pump, tested it, saw that it works but figured they can squeeze me for a new fuel pump or2. they cleaned out the pump and didnt test it and figured they might as well replace it because it is shortedEither way I would never trust these folks again with giving me an honest or accurate opinion on car issues. What a bunch of bozos.

Alignment was off, went to this location to get it corrected and get a tire rotation while at it. I have a lifted Jeep and after a little off-roading, I needed to get some issues fixed. When I brought my Jeep to the shop, the steering wheel was tilted to the left when driving straight, when I left, it was tilted to the right. I gave it a couple of days to work itself out but it never did. I called the location to see if I could jump in a bay and get it corrected and they said I could bring it in and do a drop off or wait just like anyone else. But why? You didnt do it correctly the first time!No worries, minor inconvenience but still annoying.With the tire rotation, they charge you $5 a tire. The tech that did the tire rotation only rotated the 4 tires on the Jeep and didnt rotate in the spare. Anyone that knows anything about off road vehicles, vehicles with MTs, etc.. you want to work in the spare for even tread wear. When I saw the charge for $20 and I asked the service guy if the tech did all 5 tires, he went to ask. I watched him walk out into the bay and ask and the tech looked at him like he was crazy and then shook his head no. When he came back in, I asked if I could get the 5th tire rotated in and I would even tell them how I wanted it done since obviously the tech doesnt know what TF he is doing, the service person told me I would have to wait on a bay and it would be about another 20-30 mins.While the tire rotation is only a minor issue, it is the fact that the question was never asked. I am not sure if it is based off lack of knowledge by the tech or just laziness but the question was never posed do you want 4 or 5 tire rotation.I really enjoy Firestone and their warranty on their work is great but I will not be returning to this location. I can see why the Sam Rittenberg and Trolley Rd locations are much more busy. Next time I will just have to schedule the appointment several days in advance to ensure quality work it seems.
