South Star did a wonderful job on the cuts and install of our wet bar coutertop and sink. They had no problem working with the custom holes I needed, and were able to cut the granite to hide my uneven wavy wall. Their prices were excellent, as we used a piece they had in stock. They were also very patient with us, as it took forever to find the right cabinets for the layout. I would definitely work with them again.

We could not be happier with our countertops! The entire process was amazing, no hidden costs, and we loved that they did fabrication in house so we didn’t have to get quotes from multiple people. They had the best prices we found and great customer service! We had an issue with our kitchen cabinets being delayed and Tom was great to work with and squeezed us in last minute for installation. I can’t recommend them enough!!

I cant say enough good things! The showroom was really nice, and there was a very very large selection in the warehouse. Our first visit, they showed us all the options for the look we were going for, and then had us pick our favorites in the warehouse. They took the time to give us quotes on all of our favorites. They were so so helpful, and we walked out with so much information in so little time. Next visit we picked the type of stone we wanted (Polar White Quartzite) paid the deposit, and scheduled the template. The template guy, Christian, was helpful and knowledgeable and helped with our questions about a minor change we were making with our current kitchen layout. After the template, they even took the time to let us come in and select where the template would lie on the stone! With the veining so prominent, we really wanted to have that ability, and they were so patient and helpful. This whole process only took a couple of weeks. They scheduled the installation date, and they were installed, PERFECTLY and quickly. WE LOVE THEM, and the staff and options could not have been better. Recommend highly!

We learned about South Star Granite 2 through facebook’s posts. They communicated quickly to answer any questions I had. We went to their showroom and were greeted by a knowledgeable professional and shown(using lots of patience with us) the slabs of beautiful forms of granite. All was done in a surprising timely manner. The selection, measuring, fabricating and installation went very well. We are so pleased and wonder why we waited so long. Everyone is very professional and easy to work with. Since they source their own stone, the selection is great. And, to top at all off, they were the best price! Had new kitchen countertops and a sink installed today. I was also supposed to have a sink installed as well. When the installer finished, they called me to the kitchen and the first thing I noticed was the faucet wasnt hooked up. I obviously asked why not, and I was told they dont do that. I was BEYOND livid!!! When I spoke with Beatrice from their office, who was my salesperson, she informed me that they werent plumbers. I told her I understand that, and I saw in an email that they dont hook up the water lines under the sink. NEVER, during any of our conversations, did she mention they dont hook up the faucet.Not being totally clueless, i was pretty sure I could hook up the hot and cold water lines, as well as the drain under the sink. However, I am also not comfortable with hooking up a pretty expensive, multi facet faucet. Now I am scrambling to hire a plumber to connect everything and hook up my faucet. I would NEVER recommend these guys to anyone. Very shady business practices. In fact, it actually started when I initially went to their Myrtle Beach location ( I was living there at the time) and given a quote. I was told that quote was good for 30 days. Within a week, I had contacted Beatrice and gave her my quote from MB. She wound up charging me $140 more than that quote and couldnt answer why. She was also going to charge me a 3% fee if I was going to pay by credit card? Huh?????? Stay away from this place, and particularly Beatrice. All she cares about is getting whatever money she can out of you. Being in customer service myself, I find this place highly unethical.

We had our countertops done by South Star Granite. Tom was very informative and helpful throughout the entire process. The process itself took a few weeks and although we were told they were a bit backed up, we found the timeline to be very reasonable (less than a month from selection to installation). We are very pleased with the installation and love how beautiful our kitchen turned out!

We had our kitchen counters and fireplace hearth and surround done by South Star Granite. They have a wonderful inventory to choose from, they are very professional and easy to deal with. They try very hard to be the best and they are the best. Their prices are reasonable and I highly recommend them. They come exactly when they say they will and they are very honest.

The South star Granite team we’re very professional and they did a good job installing the countertops. I would definitely recommend them. Only dropped one star because off due to an accident involving a broken sink that threw off the timeline with other contractors I had lined up, but these things happen! They replaced the sink as quickly as they could and overall I’m happy with the end result. From start to finish it took around three weeks, which is slightly longer than others, but again I’m very happy with the result.

Very professional every step of the way. I bought quartzite kitchen countertops with a special edge along with a new quartz sink and faucet and demo of old countertops. They answered all my questions knowledgeably, and had better pricing and faster installation than the big box stores. Their customer service was actually better than the smaller companies at which I inquired, and they were reliably on time. I was able to go to the warehouse to look at the stone slabs and had the option to go back to place the template on the piece (I decided not to, but it was available). It has been over 3 months since installation, and Ive had no issues.

Beautiful showroom, lots of granite from which to choose, including many remnants. All of the folks there were most helpful. I was looking for granite with blue, which I didnt realize was a near impossibility, but Herlane knew they had a good size remnant of Blue Bahia in their Myrtle Beach shop. She showed me a photo of it on her phone, and it is gorgeous! Looks spectacular in my guest bath. I did 3 bathrooms and my laundry room using different remnants in each room. All look wonderful. The installers were on time, professional, and neat as a pin. I highly recommend South Star Granite 2. It was a very good experience from beginning to end!

The showroom is impressive and the staff took the time to show us the choice of granite and introduce the sale pitch of the products. The installers did a nice job with the granite, however we paid for the demo of our old counter and removal process. During this process they did put a hole in our wall. Also we purchase a sink and faucet and unaware that they do not hook the faucet up, they only take it apart. Knowing this information during the time of the sales pitch of the sink and faucet would have been nice to know. When the installer said they were done and we asked about the faucet, there response is we dont fo that and someone should of told you. I will say the counter top does look very nice, just disappointed in the hole in my wall and not receiving the information the faucet. Share with your customer if they purchase a sink and faucet there is no install on the faucet at sales pitch time. Customers can better prepare for this situation with that information.

After working with another vendor for several weeks and being incredibly frustrated with the entire process, we stopped into South Star on a whim, and ended up purchasing new quartzite countertops for our kitchen. The process was fast, easy and pleasant, and we ended up getting much better quality countertops at a fair and reasonable price. We were very impressed with the customer service from both the sales staff and the installers. I would recommend South Star to anyone looking to purchase new countertops for their home!

This company is amazing! We were doing a complete DIY kitchen remodel. The only part we didnt DIY was the countertops. We spoke to a few different granite suppliers/installers until we found South Star. Not only were they the best price but the entire process was very efficient, and FAST! We literally got template (final measurement) on a Monday. Wedensday we had our granite installed by noon!!! THE SAME WEEK! The installation was fast and very nice! Perfect cuts, smooth edges on the granite. I recommend this company completely. There is NO WAY anyone should chose the big box stores (lowes, home depot, etc) over these guys. They are cheaper and are way more professional! A+++

The folks at South Star were fantastic. Wed gotten a quote from another local countertop company but were not happy with the way we got the car salesman treatment from the sales guy we worked with. We took our quote to South Star and worked with Caroline. She took the time to find out what we were looking for, walked us around the warehouse and took notes on our preferences, then gave us a quote based on our choices. South Star was able to beat the other companys quote by a few dollars, and more importantly, they didnt resort to high-pressure sales tactics when we told them we would have to wait a while to get the countertops done. Once we were able to get them done, the templating was done within a couple of days. They quote a fabrication time of 7-10 business days, but they were finished in 4 days! Two gentleman came to install the countertops and arrived earlier than the scheduled window of time. They even took it in stride when one of my kitchen sink pipes burst. Everyone was so friendly and professional, and my counters look amazing! Thanks, South Star!

I had the best experience working with South Star Granite. In a pinch after bing told that I was not going to be able to get my granite countertops installed until 3 to 4 weeks later, I quickly cancelled my order from the home improvement store and called South Star. The young lady was able to fit me in that afternoon and was able to squeeze my template measurement appointment the next day on Friday. I cannot belive how quickly they were able to install. I had my countertops that following Tuesday. On top of that I saved over $200 with going with their company. They were professional and even my contractor was pleased with the young men that came out to measure beforehand. Thank you South Star.

We had a great experience with South Star. The front office staff is knowledgable and accommodating. They promptly offered an initial quote and were responsive to our questions. We had a tricky instal - soapstone in a tight existing kitchen where nothing is truly level and an unusual sink instal. They accommodated a pre-visit to discuss the jobs viability (oddly other companies were resistant to this). The measurement day was painless and the gentleman listened to our requests for deep window sills and offered wise information about the best way forward. He offered important advice which did alter our original design for the best. The fabrication was done to our desires and without delay. The installers were wonderful, polite, and able to make adjustments on the fly due to the odd nature of our home. All in all a great company to with which to work.
