Great experience. They were my second opinion on repair for my garage door. The first company that came recommended I replace my entire rail system and possibly my motor too! Overhead door was honest. They greased my doors and tracks, adjusted the doors a bit for 1/7 of the price/recommendation of the other guys. Will 100% use them again!

I was experiencing difficulties in closing my garage door, unfortunately I did not seek assistance until it was completely inoperable. When I contacted Overhead Door of Charleston and explained my situation I was informed that, as expected, they were all booked up for the next two weeks. Jimmy got on the line and he said he would try to address this week. To complicate things further I had very narrow windows of time when I could be there. I have been using commercial garage doors for 50 years. I can’t say that any other brand is bad, but the Overhead Door brand is, in my opinion, exceptional. I just replaced 8 of my OD brand doors that were almost 36 years old. I’m ashamed to say that they weren’t maintained anywhere near as well as they should have been, yet they never failed to function and I don’t ever remember a failure occurring. Everything about the doors lasted twice as long as any building expert would tell you to expect. The local representative and installing crew are fabulous – I can’t praise them enough. Getting ready to order 3 more replacements for doors that are 32 years old and not because they are worn out, I just desire a different design of door. Thanks to all the crew at OD of Charleston!

We had a successful experience with Overhead Door Co. of Charleston. Aaron came to give us an estimate. He called before coming out & arrived on time. We have old wooden panel garage doors from when the house was built & they are in good condition & go with the look of our house. Several other companies couldn’t accommodate us with a wood panel, but Aaron assured us it was no problem to replace it. We considered new garage doors & he gave us information, but I wanted to stay with wood. The installer, Cameron, called & arrived right on time. Very nice young man. The new panel fits perfectly & looks great. Highly recommend this company. The whole process of ordering & installing was less than a week.

I called Overhead Door of Charleston because one of the garage doors was unbalanced and crashed to the floor which concerned me about safety. They immediately scheduled a visit the very next morning to do a safety check. The technician arrived promptly and assessed the problem to be a failed spring which was replaced and the door was brought back to normal operation within the hour. The technician was very careful to check the other door operation and did several other checks to be sure that everything was in good shape. I will be sure to call these guys whenever I have problems or need guidance for future services.

Unbelievable!!!! Best sales and service that Ive seen in a long time! When I ordered the door I was advised it would be 5 weeks out. That is since my wife had to pick out special door, of course they had to be ordered. So I paid the 1/2 deposit no problem. Doors came in and appointment was set up. Crew should up as scheduled and wow. They took their time and I could not be more impressed!!!. They even downloaded the app onto my phone so I could open or close from anywhere as long as I had cell phone service. Not one nail or screw left behind! They left it cleaner that it was found. BUYER BEWARE.....THEY CHARGE FROM THE TIME THEY LEAVE THEIR SHOP, SO THAT 45MIN. OF WORK COULD COST YOU 1.5 HOURS....SO ALL I AM SAYING IS ASK....and shop around, afterall, its a garage door. There are lots of people out there that can do it. Its not overly complicated. With that being said, the guy they sent was what I would have expected from any company. He knew his job, and did his job. Sure I will pay the bill, but I wont recommend them., nore will I use them again. With 24 doors on this property they missed out.

Very professional and excellent service. I had precision door come out first, they quoted me almost $1200 for repair. That didn’t make much sense. so, I contacted overhead door. They came out fixed the issue and it only cost me $40. If you want a company that will be good to you, fix the problem and not rip you off or take advantage of you call overhead door!

A Company I Highly RecommendCharleston Overhead Door is a company that can be trusted to give a good price; they stand by their word and their installer Johnny did a great job installing our new hurricane garage door and hardware. I had other company no name given come over on a Saturday in October since my springs had broke that morning. I ask for hurricane hardware since I would be upgrading our door. The young man installed the hardware and said they were for hurricane doors. I had the company come over later the next week and was told the new spring would not work for a hurricane door. I ask for the money I paid to go to the new door installation and was told that I would only get half back. They wanted $1500.00 for the new installation. Charleston Overhead Door came in with a much better price.

SO grateful we called overhead door!! We had another company, Precision, come out and tell us that we needed an entire new garage door opener which would cost $450.Overhead door came out even though they were extremely busy and fixed the door with only a $45 part. My garage door suddenly failed to work. The companys response was prompt. The repairman arrived as promised and explained the cause of the problem as he was repairing it. He was courteous and thorough. He made sure my remote was reprogrammed and everything was working properly. I could not ask for better service.

Subsequent to that call Bill arranged through the local Charleston office to have both of my garage door motors and center rails replaced along with a new key pad. He kept his word and I must say I highly recommend this company. Thanks for standing by your product.

Just want to say what a great job this company did in fixing my garage door today. Aaron came out and found the issue within minutes of getting there and in about 15 minutes had the new belt on and replaced. He then proceeded to lube all the wheels and hinges all over the garage door and just made sure everything was working great. You just do not see service people like this anymore. It is refreshing to see that some companies great service still means something. What they dont know is I had called another large company out last week and they looked and looked and then said I would need to replace everything that it could not be fixed and wanted to charge me over $600 to replace everything. That is a shame as none of what they said was wrong was broken and all it was, was the belt was stretched to the point it was allowing the door to slam shut and bounce open. Very good work, pleasant and fixed the door. . No one came into the garage since I had left and the only other person to come into my garage was the overhead door employee. I saw the detector in the garage the next morning as it was only placed there the night before. I did not know the overhead company was coming to fix my garage door the next day. So the garage door was fixed but my $500.00 radar protector was gone. My son came to pick it up about an hour after the repairman left. The detector was nowhere to be found.

What a mess! No show in appts, tried to give quote without showing up, twoseperate salesmen same company quotes were $700 difference. Called back to speak with the company and Debbie hung up on me when I tried to explain.

This company is probably what you get stuck with if you buy a new home. Thats too bad, because this company has poor product and really poor customer service! They get the new homes and dont care anything about the customers. You are a lot better off going to home depot or Lowes and using one of their installers.... One star is way way too much!!!

I want to give a big shout out to the team at Overhead Door Company of Charleston!! Our old garage door/lift was not working properly (not opening, ugh!) so we gave ODCC a call. They were quite busy that week, but had someone working in our area the next day and said they would have him drop by to check things out. The next day, I had received a very courteous phone call letting me know when they would be at the house...and shockingly, unlike most time-framed appointments, they showed up!! Brett, our technician, took a look at what was going on and determined that we would benefit most from a new lift system (along with a few other obvious small fixes that we had completely missed). The best part was that Brett had taken the time to explain exactly how garage door lifts work - simple, but I had no clue of the ins and outs - and how/why our system was failing. After his explanation he went right to work installing our new system which took a lot less time than I was expecting. Between the professionalism, kindness and efficiency of every step from phone call to installation I would definitely recommend the team at the Overhead Door Company of Charleston to anyone that just has a question to a failing system.
