Visiting Ft. Myers from Rochester N.Y. I wanted to do some local fishing. I had no equipment and googled bait shops. I found I could rent kayaks and poles here and decided to after seeing the reviews. Rented a pole for ten bucks for the day. Chris told me where I can fish and landed a hot spot for Cat Fish. If you are in North Ft Myers definitely go see Chris. Great Guy. I will be back.

My go-to bait shop if Im going anywhere in Fort or Cape Coral. Worms, pinfish, shiners, shrimp and plenty of frozen stuff. Full line of tackle. Beer and wine to go. Friendly staff. Easy parking. Fun place to go.

Its nice having a place here in town where you can pick up bait after hours. Great shop for local guys who just want a quick trip out at night and dont want to worry about keeping the bubbler going for 3 hours before fishing.

A little known gem. I was very impressed with the layed back nature, as well as the abundance of knowledge of local fishing tips that the owner Chris so easily provided. I was also impressed with the variety of cold beer in stock. My wife and two kids very much enjoyed our family kayak outing to the secluded little island around the bend. I would highly recommend the Marinatown Bait Shop.

Great experience!The staff was very helpful and we were also able to get beverages and beer and even rent a fishing pole and its a great bait shop too!We kayaked down the marina and checked out all the boats and then went into the mangroves and found a small beach with a rope swing before heading out in to the Caloosahatchee. We saw a lot of birds, turtles, jumping fish and even 2 dolphins. Then we went back into the mangroves and channels and never ran out of areas to explore. The kids loved it and we finally had to drag them back after sunset.I would recommend the day rental so you are not obligated to return at a certain time. It is well worth the money. Good times.

I stop by the bait shop and was unfamiliar with how to fish on the canals here in Fort Meyers and the owner of the bait shop was awsome. He made sure he got me bait and tackle I needed and I was able to set and have a ice cold beer at the nice covered tables right outside his shop on this beautiful canal with beautiful boats and it’s right besides nice outdoor tiki restaurant . I will be back I haven’t started fishing because I’m still enjoying my drink and the view here. Really great setup and live bait and lots of tackle

We rent paddleboard and kayak from Chris every year, but this year was the best. We headed out and within minutes encountered a manatee, then further down a few manatees flirted with us as they sunned themselves for 45 mins in the channel. It was spectacular. Service top notch and equipment good compared to others we rented from earlier in the week.

When it says open 24 hours he means it. Stopped in about 4:00 a.m. to get some bait. Store was closed but I pushed the buzzer and the owner was there in just a couple of minutes. And he was very helplful, much more that I would have been if somebody had woke me up at that hour. Good quality bait and fair prices.

You will not find a better man in a better location with a better price.. if you do please tell me! i only give him 5 stars because 1. he does not have a beard and 2 i cant give him more.

Great bait selection and the guy who runs the shop is very friendly and gave me a few different locations to fish.Went there this year, last year I accidentally put 4 star for a 5 star establishment. Went there and rented kayaks for a half day which was a crazy good deal. But when I got back to the dock I accidentally dropped my brand new galaxy s10 plus in the water and he knew a guy who went down with scuba gear and got my phone back for me.(still works by the way) Definitely a great guy and I will recommend his shop with the highest honor.

Rented 2 tandem Kayaks to take to our lake in the cape. Fast friendly service, was able to answer all of our questions. Looks like they have all kinds of bait and tackle including live bait.

Beware of this bait shop the owner is out of his mind and extremely rude to the customers not to mention he is never open and if you call he sends an automatic message saying he is. Terrible service! The worst bait shop in Lee county.

The rates were reasonable in The Kayaks were nice and when we were there we rented for 2 hours up front, but we probably should have only rented for an hour. The water was choppy and the win was blowing pretty hard so after an hour we were tired but I would definitely do it again.
