I went to Ulta to find a leave in conditioner and hair spray for my gray hair. The client consultant was very helpful.

Best customer service due to a beautiful young lady named Cassie. She went beyond the call of duty and was absolutely a delight and a life saver. I bought what she suggested and it was better than what I originally wanted! I shared with my friends and they came back and bought some too! ALL BECAUSE OF A LADY NAMED CASSIE!

This was the best ULTA I have ever been to! I typically enjoy going to the one closest to where I live. And I love the products ULTA carries😊 but, my visit to this one was the best by far! Two people helped me, and I hope I’m spelling their names right... Jackie and Brian🌸 The whole staff was super friendly and greeted my wife and I cheerfully! But, those two made me feel at home and very comfortable! Next time I’m in the area and need or want some makeup, I will definitely be back!! I have been going to Ulta to have my hair done for years now. I switched to this store 6 months ago when I moved from Kentucky. They are very professional. The stylist do their best to try and get the blonde I want, usually doesnt stay that way for long though. IDK if its the Redken or the fact that they are not allowed to use heat. Im definitely going to have to find another salon.

I made my79 yo mother an appointment to have her eye brows shaped and tinted for her grand-daughters wedding. Our appointment was at 11 o clock. We arrived at 11:03 a.m. I dropped my mom off without her cell phone. She told me it would take 30 minutes so I went shopping. Once inside my mom stood to the side of the brow bar waiting to be acknowledged. My mom saw that technician was seating a woman in the chair. Once acknowledged she was told her appointment was cancelled because she was late at 11:05. Again we were there at 11:03 but she didnt get acknowledged until 11:05. When my mom questioned this she was then lectured on store protocol and policy. It came down to that Carly or whatever her name is, took a walk-in instead of my mom. My mom was embarrassed and angered. Jessica, the store manager offered my mom an alternative that she could have a cosmetologist in the store to do the job. My mom had just left her cosmetologist and felt like she deserved the brow specialist. In my opinion they should have given the walk-in to the cosmetologist and honored my moms appointment. Jessica, was kind enough to help my mom call me to come pick her back up from the store phone. I was so angry I went back inside to find out why they had denied my mom this service. The alternative was that we had to come back at 4:30 but we are headed out of town for an out of state wedding. I understand Carly or whatever the brow specialist name is wanted to guarantee her money but the service is terrible. I have to say my mom has been very happy with the service before. This was the first time since the pandemic has started that we had allowed my mom to go into a store, because of the wedding. It is just very disappointing and hurtful because this was a special event. I wish my mom would have demanded the services, but what 79 yo stand ups for herself. Needless to say she has to much southern pride to patronize the store again. Thanks Carly for upsetting my mom and forgive me Jessica for being rude, but when you mom is hurt then you are hurt

Not quite sure if was the way I was dressed or what exactly being it being mothers day i wanted to go look at some higher end make up with better coverage but since I look like a beach bum you knoe tank and shorts I werent good enough to be helped I was quickly shown product and walked off from... I wont be returning I have been referred to this store several times and I found that to be a bust...

JESSICA The store manager is just the most unfriendly person!walked in with my sister walked right out in front of us no excuse me..no hello..i accually spoke and she just walked on.Rude...will not be shoping at this store agai.And when we were checking out she had a little basket slamming things in to it at the front desk..pittiful excuse for a manager!

Had an appt to get my eyebrows tinted. Was originally scheduled for 12:30pm. Got a call and was asked if I could reschedule for a 6:00pm appt instead. I agreed and my appt was changed. When I showed up to my appt at 6, I was told that I was not on the schedule. I asked if she could work me in and she said nope, I will go into overtime. Sorry. No one else was there to help me or they were unwilling to. If Ulta really cares this little about theyre customers and believes they can just move peoples appts around and then cancel without telling them. Absolutely ridiculous. Especially considering how much I shop there. Will be a customer of Sephora from here on out

I love ulta so much I usually drive 2 hours just to visit this store so I was so exited when I realized they had built one closer to my home. However the customer service is AWFUL! I had a 6 year old with me (my daughter) and they acted like it was the most horrible thing ever! They were so rude to use and any time my daughter even looked at something the manager would walk up to me and say “please watch your daughter Our products are very dangerous” she had saved her allowance for weeks and was so exited to purchase some bath bombs. It was just a horrible experience they treated us like peasants. I’m a stay at home mom with a (6yo,4yo,and 2yo) so we don’t get out much and was so exited to finally have a mommy daughter day. Not to mention they didn’t even try to assist us just followed us around like they thought we were going to steal something. We spent around 300$ and they still just looked at eachother rolling there eyes. I will never go back to this Ulta would rather drive the distance than to be Treated like this again. They need some serious training in customer service 👎🏻 You just don’t treat people like this***************editing to add the only reason I’m leaving 1 ⭐️ is because it won’t let me post With no stars 😑

I love Ulta! I love looking at the new products and buying my favorites. Online is good too. I once ordered a nail polish that arrived broken and spilled out inside the bubble wrap bag, customer service super helpful and shipped the same product to me.

Had my hair styled for Christmas last year and the compliments were incredible.

Stopped in quickly Sunday morning on my way out of town...hands down, without a doubt the MOST pleasant retail experience I have ever had in my life. I genuinely felt like I was at a Disney World Resort. They had their A team in the store- the kindest, most helpful and happiest staff ever. We were greeted multiple times, offered baskets, assistance, coupons and every single team member had a smile on their face and seemed just as genuinely happy to be there as I was. Several team members were at the register so, we walked right up to check out. I visit NMB about once a month and will only visit this store in the future. Thank you guys for making such a wonderfully positive impression. 🎉🎉🎉🎉

I visited the Ulta salon a few weeks ago. Portia did an amazing job on my hair. She spent 5 hours perfecting the color and I couldn’t be happier with it!! Not to mention she’s kind, professional and really puts her heart into it. Highly recommend!

I came in a few days ago and needed help finding a good foundation. Jessica at the Clinique counter was a huge help! Very friendly, professional, and recommended a foundation I probably would have never tried otherwise. It worked perfectly for my skin and Ive gotten so many compliments! Thanks so much! I LOVE this place. Now I love it even more because they have a MAC counter. I used their beauty services for the first time last weekend and I could not be happier with Portias services. She was friendly and offered great options for the look I was wanting. She did a great job on the cut, which Ive had a hard time finding someone good with shorter cuts. I chatted with her and she suggested I go speak with Abigail at the MAC counter about foundation options. Im so glad that I did! She was unbelievably helpful and did a WONDERFUL job on my makeup. I walked out feeling awesome because of those two ladies and their suggestions. Thank you, I will be back soon!

Amy is the best hair stylist there. If she was not there, I would never go back! Takes time to talk to you and will put forth 100 on hair. She is a good person and wants to make her clients feel good about themselves.

It seems like everytime I go into this store Im greeted by rude employees. I gave it a 3 because they do carry things I need but...if I can get them from Amazon, I skip the trip. Not into rude. The store is clean and organized though....

Went to Leah for a simple trim 1-2 inches. We agreed on the length she’d take off and what style I was going for. I had pictures and everything. It took her two hours to butcher my hair. She took off 5-6 inches and turned my long hair into a “bob”. She dry cut it even though I have curly hair. I have very uneven lengths and can’t not wear it straight because it’s so poorly cut. While she was trying to style it she burnt my ears several times. My hair is a total mess and now I have to go someplace else to get it fixed. The sad part is I was charged a pro rate even though she admitted she was 18 and fresh out of Beauty school. I’m not sure what they consider a pro if that quality of work cuts it. So disappointed. Save your hair, time, and money.

I am patient and observant enough to wait at this store, and watch my wife and daughters as they salivate at the mention of going to Ulta.Frankly to me the odors are too strong for my sensitive schnoz, but its not about me. The girls are absolutely in love with this place, and I simply drive and pay. They love it, Im happy, and again domestic tranquillity is promoted. Gotta five star it !!!

I had an appointment with Portia the master stylist and waited for her to have the time to do my hair. When I arrived she said she called and left a voicemail that my stylist wasn’t in. I was confused because I had already discussed with Portia what I wanted done, how long it would take her and how much she charged. I left feeling like she just didn’t want to deal with my hair. Be careful who you get ladies, I went in for color correction and left with jet black hair.

Just wanted to post something positive about the salon, and the hair stylist Amy. She did and excellent job correcting my hair. I had a stylist at another salon that had been doing hair for 20 years totally destroyed my hair. I found Amy at Ulta who fixed my hair problems. There are a lot of hairdressers out there who have been doing hair the same way for such a long time that are not updated on the newest hair coloring techniques, products, and use old methods that have been changed, or done away with. She will be the only person that will do my hair from now on.

My experience was not good at all! I went in to have my hair colored and cut, a lesson on how to apply my make up and a facial. When I walked out crying I had never got no lesson and my hair was cut way shorter than I asked for! Im so mad! I was supposed to walk out happy and feeling beautiful, when I only walked out crying. The manager did come over but didnt change nothing. I would not recommendstore in NMB!

The RUDEST hair stylist that I have EVER met, in my life.I set up 2 appointments, one for me and a friend, to get out hair done, while we were going to be visiting Myrtle Beach. I set up the appointments about 3 weeks in advance for 2pm. When I was on the way from my hotel to Ulta, I got stuck behind an accident and was running late. I called the store at 1:30 to tell them I was going to be late because of traffic. The lady was super nice and said no problem.However she must not have told the hairdresser that because when I got there, at 2:10pm she was rude on an antagonistic level. She was berating me for being late and wasting her time. She said she didnt have time to do my friends appointment because we were so late. Mind you, my appointment was for 2pm, we were 10 mins late and I had called to let them know that. I told her I called and she said and what good does that to for my schedule? You wasted my time and now I have to rush. I told her since it was so much of an issue, we would just leave. As me and my friend started walking away, she was shouting at us! Talking about how we wasted her time and cost her money and shed have us banned from the store.We were 10 minutes late. The salon was empty. Exactly what did I cause her?She needs a new job or new batteries.

Not enough age diversity for this community. Most of the folks that live here are retired or semi-retired. The staff are all fresh out of beauty school or still in HS. The cashiers are great, but the rest of the staff in the store exemplify the worst customer service I have ever seen. They talk in small groups and there are customers all of the store looking for help. Occasionally, I have been greeted but that is the extent of the interaction of their sales staff. IF you know what you want, the store has many brands and selections.

For my wedding day at north myrtle beach I chose to make an appointment at ultra to get my hair styled and individual eye lashes application. The staff was so very nice and the stylist that styled my hair was so very sweet and is so talented. It was VERY windy on my wedding day on the beach but my hair did not budge from the updo she done. She styled it exactly like the picture I showed her. It was everything! The lady at the eyebrow station applied my lashes for me and when she couldnt get the lashes quite right she got someone else to do them for me so they would look really good for my special day. Everyone worked as a team to make sure I was set for my big day! Wonderful service!

Very, very Over Priced. Went to get Bed Head Shampoo & Conditioner...Ummmm, 65.00 ...No Thank you.Purchased the exact same one at my Salon for 35.00 for both....& the what was suppose to be the best Mascara out there at 30.00 WAS Not worth it...Unbelievable..So sad .......

I had a appointment to get my eyebrows done there and the lady that did them did a awesome jobs!and I had to call them last minute to get my makup done for my wedding because the lady that was supposed to do it canceled 2 hour before! Ulta cancelled my hairstyle appointment 4 hours prior to appointment time. I explained to Amy (the girl that called) this was for my wedding hairstyle. She apologized that the lady I booked appointment with had called out that day and had a lot going on. I understand things happen, but they should offer a better resolution than Im sorry, have a good afternoon. Especially with the given fact that it was specifically for my wedding. It was only for a hairstyle, and they did not have any availability for any time from 11am til 6pm. I dont believe that to be true. Very disappointed as a regular customer and local to the area.

I could not have found a better Esthetician on a day I needed her the most, Jessica made me feel comfortable in my own skin! Solved my problem and I will be following up with her after a weeks. Eric also gets credit for giving me lots of remedies on how to get rid of my issue. Great team here at this ULTA . I was on vacation I drove 45 minutes to get some eye brow stuff and other makeup.This is the north myrtle beach location.The young lady working at ulta wouldn’t put it on me to see how it look so of course I’m not buying it .She wanted me to look up on my phone pictures of eyebrows. It was very laughable to be honest I could do this on my own time.I’m not buying without seeing it on.I called the store on my way back the manager wouldn’t even help me. She wanting me to come all the way back tomorrow and set up an appointment. I live in another state by the way. The ulta where I leave will go out of there way to help you put it on and everything.Im very thankful for my ulta I have never written a review but this is crazy. They shouldn’t even be open if they don’t know how to do makeup it’s there job.
