First time playing the course. Great day of golf. Very playable course. Wide fairways and predictable greens. Staff was very accommodating. Rich the starter was fantastic, and made me feel right at home. The course reminded me of the courses I played as a young man near Milton, N.J. and Clarion University in Pennsylvania. Rich paired me up with 2 other single players with similar abilities. We all played very well, got along great and had a great afternoon. 4 hour round. Shot my best score in years. Thank you Beachwood staff and thank you Rich!

I first started by booking a 8:52am tee-time for One but then changed it to after seeing that I had a couple other golfers with me to 8:22. I paid and went to the Starter which noticed the 8:52 start time which he questioned. I explained that I had changed the time and went back in and talked to the Guy running the shop. He apparently thought I was worked up and upset because I talk louder than most because I am 80% deaf in both ears. I went back out to the Starter and he got me on my way. The Staff as a hole was Very friendly and fill me in on the markers and flag colors.I brought my wife as my Designated driver which was her first time ever out on a course I have to say she loved it. The Course was in Good condition for the hot temperatures lately. I myself enjoyed my round and won’t hesitate to go back the next time that I’m in town again.Phil T

Nice friendly staff. Great place to play or go hit range balls for casual players like myself. You pay for what you get. However you cant beat the convenience of this place

Had a blast playing here. Played 36 holes one day here and the second round was only 30$ which was nice. Way better layout and course conditions than Azalea. They also let us take a cooler out with us which was nice. Beer cart came around pretty frequently too.

The staff were great and course was in good shape. Plus the pace of play was under 4.5 hours all three times we played. We will be back next year.

Enjoyed this course very much, staff was very friendly. As soon as we pulled up a man met us at our vehicle and loaded our clubs up and had them ready in a cart when we got to the back. This course has better greens and fairways than it’s neighbors.

Fun course. Mostly flat, with minimal tree interference. Which is good for a beginner like myself. Had a nice time.

Had a good time at Beachwood GC. This course has a good open layout. Green had been aerated in the past few weeks but were in decent shape. Not a pristine course but a good value. I would definitely come back.

Good course, good layout and worth playing. Fairways and greens in good shape. It would have been nice to know that a best ball tournament was being held that day. Would not have booked the round. Also didnt care for members driving around looking for open holes to play.

Great course, well maintained - very affordable. Staff was friendly and we had a great time out on the course. Absolutely loved the fox squirrels running around!

Course was in decent shape and fine for the price. But the cart girl not being able to accept debit/credit card is pretty bad. Especially without a warning at the clubhouse prior to our tee time.

I had an absolutely wonderful time playing around of golf at Beachwood. I was there in the offseason and the course was not overcrowded or beat up. The staff there keeps the course in top-notch shape from what I can tell. They do have a driving range that I took advantage of before my round. The staff are friendly knowledgeable and professional folks. I will absolutely beyond a shadow of a doubt be going back to Beachwood ASAP

The course is a nice layout, with a good variety of holes. The greens are a little bumpy, but they roll at a decent speed. Some of the tee boxes are a little beat up.Overall, this is a good place to play, especially for those of us along Highway 17 in North Myrtle.

Nice course but didnt play well today

The worst golf experience of my life, service was an embarrassment and the range was closed because they needed to pick it. This is all simple stuff and they failed. Course was ok and in ok shape, they need a complete overhaul of the staff.

I went back and replayed the course at an earlier time. And found it to be better than the late afternoon play.

Were here on a mini vacation and found this great golf course near us. We had a chance to used the range. Great friendly place.

The greens are in great condition as are the fairways. The service is first quality. We have been playing every day for the last 2 weeks in under 4 hours. Even 4 days ago when there was a negative review by Rosemary we were also behind this group and the group of 5 kept up to the group in front of them at all times. Plus we saw 2 employees going out to the course to address what was going on.

We played this course on July 6, the course was not in great condition. We teed off close to 7 a.m., and the play was extremely slow especially for early morning. When we had 4 holes to play I saw why, a fivesome was two holes ahead of us holding the entire course up. I do not understand why there were no marshals on the course. It took us five hours

Really enjoyed our round! Fall rye grass over seeding made the fairways BEAUTIFUL!Easy course, but certainly not to easy. Staff was very nice, Tim in the Pro Shop was a pleasure to talk to.

Played on 8/3/20. Was happy to get on since we were booked originally booked at another course but that course was closed early due to hurricane. I would rate this course easy as it is wide open off the tee without a lot of trouble and not much slope on the greens. Layout is fairy generic so would be good for beginners. Greens were better than expected and rolled true. Fairways and tee boxes weren’t in great shape. However it wasn’t crowded so was able to play full round in about 2.5 hours.

I have played here regularly for the past 12 years whenever Im in town. Todays experience has erased my previous positive experiences. The play was unreasonably slow due to a 5 some that held up every hole for 5-6 minutes. We called the pro shop for some assistance and were denied any. Sorry but the Marshall isnt here theres nothing we can do. Unprofessional and disrespectful customer service. Will play elsewhere from now on.

Course was in great shape for a heavily played field. Wide open fairways, great for all player levels. Nice place to spend a couple of hours.

Fairways have been over seeded and watered heavily so little to no roll. Overseeding hasnt been mowed so fairways are hairy. All making it a little tough to play. Tees are all chewed up but have been sanded and not too many are level.Layout is nice.

I am a local resident and I have played Beachwood many times and it is in the best condition of the last 3 1/2 yrs.

Nice course. Staff was great. I would recommend this course if youre around North Myrle. It isnt one of the nicest courses youll play,but it is a fun and challenging course to play. On #9 you better stay middle to right side or you will lose your ball with all the range balls around. Driving range is just to the left of this hole. I do recommend this course

The gal in the clubhouse was very friendly, but rented clubs and did not get a FULL set of clubs! I called the clubhouse and she said they would send some clubs out to me but they never showed up.The course is in terrible terrible shape. Bad grass, dirt everywhere and construction everywhere, chainsaws going and no ambiance whatsoever. I heard that myrtle was a golf mecca but this place was sad.

Absolutely the best local course to start any golf outing in the Myrtle Beach area!! The course is extremely well maintained, the greens are great and the staff is probably the friendliest and helpful in the area! There are more picturesque and challenging courses for sure but this course is always our first course to play and is top of our list for a replay! Oh and the price is right!!Not only is this my “go to” course to begin any golf outing, it is also where I go work on my game! Even better, Trevor Muffley, Director of Instruction, is a FANTASTIC teacher! Every other Pro that I have gone to (and there have been many!) only appear to listen and then proceed to try to “shoe horn” your swing into their system. Not so with Trevor!! I am an older golfer with some physical restrictions and can’t play the way I used to, in fact, I was concerned about my ability to ever be able play again! The first thing that Trevor did was sit down with me for about 20 minutes (not “on the clock”) and made sure he understood my goals and limitations. He then put together a completely personalized plan that has me back playing better than I was before my surgeries!! I even have more distance and accuracy with all of my clubs!!!

I have been playing my winter golf here for the past fours years and I am very impressed by the consistent improvements made year to year. The greens are “perfect”. Every aspect of the course is better, and I would recommend the course to any golfer from higher handicap to accomplished player. The layout can be a real challenge, if you choose to play from the back tees.Staff are very friendly. I leave with a smile on my face every time I play here... regardless of my score!

Course looked in good shape unfortunately never stepped foot on it. Website states that you will not be paired with anyone at this time due to COVID-19. Yes, checked it today June 21, 2020 and it still states the same. That is false. The starter has no people skills and blatantly told me that I was going to be paired with someone that I did not know. WRONG!!!! Your starter needs to learn how to communicate with your customers and how to resolve issues instead of degrading them and forcing them into uneasy situations. So if you are in North Myrtle Beach and want to up your chances of contracting COVID-19, please visit Beachwood Golf Course.

Have been coming here for the past 3 years. Its the only course we play at during our stay. The staff is super friendly and the price is right. I highly recommend Beachwood Golf Club!!

Fairways in great shape greens are filling in.

The course was fun....the golf staff was very nice, but....I made the mistake of trying to get a hotdog on the turn and encountered the rudest employee. She was nasty and had no customer service skills. Kind of put a dampness on otherwise great outing. Maybe they should putt another employee to that area?

I thought this was a good course and moderately challenging for my higher handicap. I started off on this course in the early morning about an hour after a heavy rain went through, and as expected, the course was quite soggy. This is not the courses fault, but it was a little challenging with the water on the fairways. As the morning wore on and the sun broke through, the fairways tightened up and play was more manageable. The course overall was in good shape, but as others stated, the greens were fair. The price was good. The staff was very courteous including the starter taking your bag from your car and securing in the cart. The pace of play was good and the course traffic was as expected. Practice green, chipping green, and range were all good. I recommend this course.

Very fairly priced. Challenging in spots. Well designed. Is it the best course youve ever played? No. It is way above average though. A very nice course. Good condition. I will play again next visit to myrtle beach!

Course in good shape.

Great value. Staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Pace of play was good for the most part, didnt have to do much waiting at all until hitting a little bottleneck on the back 9 around 13-14, still got in in 4.5 hours. Fairways were solid, greens were not as fast as some others we played but were very receptive and true. Overall a fun relaxing round of golf for a great price. Would highly recommend for any and all skill levels.

Practice area and tee boxes are terrible while fairways are in below average shape. Will admit the greens are in great shape that is why I give it 2 stars. So many other better courses to play.

Beachwood Golf club in Myrtle Beach is a great place to play a round of golf. The course was in great condition including the fairways, bunkers and tee boxes. The people are very friendly and helpful as well.The price was very reasonable. It was a great place to play. I will definitely be back there soon. They even called me prior to my tee time to inform me that there was a delay in our tee time.

4.2.20 Update: After emailing Kevin, this issue was resolved with the replacement of my shorts. Thats all I wanted! Thank you, Kevin!Watch out! Just golfed there this morning and had my brand new Jamie Saddock capris ruined! They used some kind of bleach cleaner (smelled like Clorox) on the golf cart and gave it to us to use while it was still wet. This got on my pants and ruined them! Im still waiting to hear back on what they are going to do about this! I understand this was used due to the virus, but there is no excuse that precautions werent in place!

Played there last week. Course was in great shape, staff very friendly and good price. Definitely on my come-back list.

Course was in great shape from tee to green. Staff kept play at an acceptable pace without being pushy.I would call this a high handicappers course - wide open without any overly difficult holes. Water comes into play at a few holes and almost not at all for those using forward tees. Ill be bringing my wife to play this course very soon.Just heard rumor that this course is up for sale. Not sure if its true or not. Will wait to see. In the meantime i may have to look for another to play.
