I went into this location and was impressed by the beautiful store… the store manager (blond hair) was amazing she helped me find everything I needed she was sweet and courteous and knew exactly what to pick out for my granddaughter for Christmas.Her staff was also lovely! It felt like home kudos to her for leading such a great team I will be back.

Theres been several girls thats very sweet, smart that has a wealth of knowledge. I enjoy going there because the girls that has waited on me the last few times Ive been there. Always ask for help and one of the girls will take care of your questions.Im so thankful for the group of girls thats up there now 🌺🥰 they will make you look and feel better with different products that Ulta has.

The GM of the store is so friendly and made me feel as if she genuinely cared about my issue I had with a product discount difference. I always have a pleasant experience with all the ladies who work there.

I am absolutely horrified about how management treats their staff. A couple of weeks ago, I witnessed Kathleen, who I believe is the manager, yell at a young associate right in front of the customers. I stood there in shock and had no idea what to do. Kathleen yelled something about the girl’s hours while the girl was tearing up. Absolutely unacceptable for management to be treating their staff like that; if she could do that in front of customers, I can’t even imagine how she treats her staff behind closed doors. I understand that times are hard due to the pandemic, but that is no reason to treat your Staff like trash. Please train your upper management better because what I witnessed was extremely intolerable.

Thank you Ulta for requiring masks. These low ratings due to your mask mandates makes me more comfortable in going in to shop! Makes me feel like my health as a customer and the employees are valued.I went in yesterday to ask about a good concealer for carving out my brows, I wish I had gotten her name but I was helped out instantly, and I love the product! The store at Coco Plum, North Port has gone down hill and have the rudest employees!! I’ve been shopping there since the location opened and they were awesome! They have new management now and it shows, they treat their customers awful and act like everything is a major inconvenience to them. They scream at their customers upon entering the store to put a mask on and will harass you til you put one on and I get the dirtiest looks from staff when I go in. I get it’s the “store policy” but we live in a state where it is not mandated, so it should be optional at this point like most stores. I will take my business to Sephora where they are a lot nicer and have testers and most importantly helpful, courteous and useful staff!! I love Ulta, just not this location, they need some training and customer service etiquette stat!!

Very Rude, first of all if you require masks then have the decency of providing them. It is a private store and they can do whatever they please, but I hope they realize that the majority of the people hate the mandates and don’t appreciate being forced to wear masks. You’ve lost one customer and many more.

I have shopped at this store for almost 5 years here in North Port Fl. Mask are not mandatory in our state thanks to Gov. DeStantis. However, upon walking in without one, employees shouted across the store your not wearing a mask. Then several employees came over to me as I started shopping and informed me I had to wear or mask or leave the store. You know the ending I choose to leave the store without my purchases. So I guess CDC guidelines of 6 foot apart doesnt apply to them just mask. Hypocrites. BTW: No option was provided by any staff member for curb side business. I was reaching for the two items I was in the process to purchase, informed them I just needed them and was going to check out and leave. Maybe more training to staff would be helpful! Thanks

Had a horrible experience today when I walked in to buy a bottle of cologne and was confronted within 45 seconds by a woman telling me I had to wear a mask, I asked is my money was no good here. Then pointed out numberous other people that were not wearing mask. I cant help but to think I was targeted and discriminated against. Horrible experience will never be back.

I have shopped Ulta for years and have Platinum status! Today I went in to grab cologne for my husband and perfume for myself with some Anastasia products..... But I Didn’t have a mask..... This has gone on long enough, it SHOULD be a choice and if a patron doesn’t have one then stay 6ft apart! Here in Florida the Governor doesn’t have a mask mandate.......... I Won’t be shopping here Again! Considering they require customers to wear them!!!!

This place gets my order wrong, sends me someone elses order and now just canceled my order with no explanation. Not even once was I offered a coupon or a discount for inconvenience, frustration, extra waiting time and waisting my time shipping orders back that did not belong to me!!!!

Very accommodating. I placed a pick up order and explained I knew it wouldnt be ready but needed to grab a few other things. They told me it was fine and to go browse. 20 minutes later I was done but my order wasnt ready still, I told them its fine I can wait. One of the employees told me she was going to get on it right away which was super nice because again I was too early for my pickup.

I just wanted to share what a great experience I had with Denyce in your store. I am not a makeup person but wear BareMinerals occasionally. I went in with intentions of buying the same color I always wear but asked for Denyce’s opinion. She advised me to switch colors and helped me pick out coordinating blush, highlighter, and brushes. I tried it all out when I got home and she was absolutely right!! I appreciate her insight and help because my look is much more natural. Thank you!!

Would never recommend this particular location to anyone. Looking for information? You’ll be leaded in any kind of direction, doesn’t matter to them as long as your spending your money. There’s coupons for things but most of the time they don’t work on the brands you choose. They won’t go out of their way for you. Definitely will not be returning.

Second haircut by Ginger in the salon. She is amazing!!

Just took my fiancé here to look and pickup some items. Was greeting and helped extensively. The staff was excited to help and made my fiancé’s day. Best customer service I’ve received in a long time anywhere.

I came in and wasn’t wearing a mask so immediately they told me I had to wear one, I told them that I have a health condition and asked if they carry Sephora and she rudely answered “only Sephora carries Sephora” then I ask what they have for eye brow pencils. She names off two brands and doesn’t even explain or show me where they are so I go off to find them myself. I opened a box of one (their was no tape closing it, didn’t rip the box) and I open to see how thick the pencil part is. She looks over at me from across the way and says “ we are not allowing anyone to sample” I told her I know I’m just seeing how thick the tip of it is. Then I’m walking down an isle and my 4 year old daughter opens a drawer where they keep stocks of things and I’m telling her she needs to close the drawer and can’t open them and I’m the middle of me telling my daughter she very sternly yells from the across the way “ you cannot open those drawers!” I’m not a confrontation person and I just wanted my eye brow pencil so I found one and left. I wish I knew her name because she treated me and my child like dirt all because I wouldn’t put on a mask!

Shopping here is a waste of time!! Mostly over staffed..but always seem to be annoyed by any customers coming in.Staff stands in any corners..chatting..and ignoring customers.And if you get the chance to ask something..they don‘t know nothing at all.

11/24/19 awkward experience returning 6 drugstore items and 1 luxury item just now... I got asked twice if I was returning the items and if it was because they didnt work out. I answered yes both times. However this was after I had directly asked to return these items please. A manager curiously came over and asked me if the products didnt work out, I answered yes. Manager then swatched the blush I was waiting to return onto her hand and showcased it to me. I didnt know how to respond so I didnt. The last item to be returned was a face cream. The cashier opened it and asked if the product didnt work out? I answered yes. I understand that Ulta needs to moderate customers who abuse the return policy but this wasnt it. -Anna

I had the best facial and while not back because she was sick for my next appointment- I was called and offered someone else. I really like my person, and I need to call for her name. She understands sensitive skin and the product suggestions have been the best for me yet!

My friend and I went into Ulta this past Saturday. A lovely associate named Paula helped my friend find foundation. She did not try to sell her an expensive brand and was extremely friendly and helpful. She answered all of my friends questions and was patient. I loved the foundation that she showed my friend so much that I bought it as well. If you happen to stop by the North Port Ulta location ask for Paula if you have makeup questions, you wont be disappointed!

Never will I have anything bad to say about Ulta. I love makeup because it is a way of art and expression. Ulta has name brand and drug store so you can definitely find everything youre looking for. They also keep up to date with new products as best as they can.

Went in looking for stocking fillers and walked out with an appointment to have my hair colored! Worst customer service EVER!!! I went into this store today to purchase a few items. While at the register, I was asked for my phone number so she can look up my member information. I politely said I was not a member and dont wish to sign up. The employee then looked over at another girl that worked there, rolling her eyes. Unbelievable! Then, she rudely proceeds with scanning my items and tells me 5 different pushy ways that I should really sign up for the rewards program and the great savings they have. When she handed me the receipt, she continued to embarrass me and said I printed the receipt, since we cant email it to you because you are not a rewards member! She had the most fake smile on her face! She is lucky that I didnt have time to ask for a Manager. I will never go back to Ulta and will purchase all of my makeup supplies online and from other stores, like I have in the past. If this is the treatment I get, no thanks! If I pay for over-priced items, Ultas customer service skills better be outstanding. And to Cashier Denyce, I hope someone treats you the way you treated me today. Maybe youll learn to be less fake going forward and respect other peoples answers when they are being nice to you.

As far as I am concerned Robin, gets a five, I only dock one star for Ulta as it would have been nice if there were more people to help pick out products. Today was my first time getting the Benefit Brow Bar treatment and it was just awesome. It was relaxing and Robin really takes it seriously and knows what she is doing! My mom even had to hop in at the end to get hers done as well and they look fantastic as well. Thank you Robin you were a joy and we will be back!

My second visit to the salon was a nightmare upon checkout. When I was handed my receipt, it was for $225.00. I have been to upscale salons and paid no where near that price for cut, root touch up and highlights. They lost a potential long term customer.

Heather Randolph is the best stylist EVER!! There’s not enough google stars to rate her.... I moved from the area and have made the 6 hour round trip drive to see her. If you are lucky enough to live close by go see her, you will not have a bad experience. I miss her so much and I am done trying to find someone closer to home. She can do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING!!! I swear she’s a chemist. I have tried other places and she fixed all their disasters. FYI Heather you will be seeing me soon! XOXO and my husband is ready to pay to move you to Melbourne.

The salon here is amazing. One of the hair stylists helped my mom pick out a new hair style and she cut it for her. She did a great job it was the perfect cut for my mom and it looked great. All the women in the salon had amazing looking hair and were very sweet and friendly. Ive only been here once and from what I saw some of the staff in both the salon section and rest of the store are a little rude and some are even childish but the majority were nice. Has a huge selection of perfume.

Fabulous place for cosmetics. Also have manicures and hair cuts. Most employees can recommend and help you with requests.

A variety of beauty supplies. That day we went it was so busy there was no one to help us . I bought a lipstick which was very nice and creamy

I booked an appointment online called to confirm it and then when I got there they seemed bothered I was there. They denied my phone call and said they were too busy for my appointment. Second time this has happened.

My daughter had a consult for hair extensions, after being told the price for the extensions and installation she attempted to leave store with the quote to show me, she then asked when she pays would she be able to take her extensions with her, she was stopped and told she could not leave with the quote nor could she take her purchase with her. They said she would have to have the hair extensions installed by Ulta. While in the parking lot to show me the info, a lady from Ulta called accusing her of leaving without paying. Saying she would be arrested if she did not come back and pay. My daughter said she had taken nothing that required being paid for. So beware of this store or company holding your purchase hostage to force you to spend more money with them.

I went into Ulta looking for some assistance on products that are curly girl approved which means no sulfates or silicones. It is really hard to read all the labels & to understand. I am warmly greeted by a woman of color with curly hair! Great! She glosses over when I ask her if she is familiar with the curly girl method. She takes me to Deva Curls & proceeds to walk me through each product until I stop her. She then explains this is the aisle for curl products. She was rude & short with me; my husband agreed. She could have volunteered she was unfamiliar with the curly girl method She was of no assistance. I left w/o buying anything. I went back to my research on the web & bought 2 products at Target for less that $20 versus the $100 dollars she steered me to.

I was helped by the best !! I wish I would have caught her name but she was beyond patient and helpful. She walked me through a variety of brands and products making sure I left confident . She matched me perfect and now I can slay everyday with Ulta as my secret weapon !!!

The staff here is always welcoming and polite, and always willing to offer help. The store is clean and tidy, my favorite place to shop for makeup. Not to mention they always have deals on the drugstore makeup section!

My daughter and I have been going to Robin @ the Benefit Brow Bar since Ulta opened in North Port. She is wonderful at what she does. She takes her time and makes us feel pampered. With the price being so high the great service is what customers like us will return for. Ulta should honor employees that provide such wonderful customer service they are few and far between.

I came in wasnt greeted at all!!! I also looked around for my facial clean and ask for help as she was searching I was looking at mascara. She rushed me to the front with two other girls. So I explained what I was looking for, and that Id like to order it in a store pick up! One young lady told me no i can order it myself I just said ok and ordered it at target!! The first time I came one lady followed me around now they denied my sale. Very unprofessional to me not sure why but sephora will be my new spot!

I purchase a $42 product and when I arrived home and opened the box I found that the bottom of the plastic tube was shattered into pieces. When I went back to the store to exchange it, the clerk didn’t even open the box to see why I was so surprised with the condition of the merchandise. It was then I noticed a sticker on the tube that said, “tester”. I asked to speak with the manager and told her that my time was valuable and that I thought, given their negligence, that I should receive a few dollars off the purchase price. She said that wasn’t possible, but I could have a “gift with purchase”. WHAT AN INSULT!

I came to get highlights, brought swatch of my extension to show the stylist the highlights I wanted.I told her I wanted low and light highlights.Very poorly highlights they did on my hair; you can not even tell I got any highlights. The cost was very Expensive not worth the price I paid with no real highlights which are not properly accomplished.I Will never go back. I am very unhappy with my hair and they could not even blow dry my hair to make it smooth in professional way.My hair is frizzy and still wet by my roots. A total dissapointment by what I think was her name Laura.

Jess, the store manager, helped me to choose a fragrance.After, about one week, I had decided that it was not what I liked. I returned the perfume without any issues. I had probably the worst hair cut ever at this location. I am new to the area so was just trying out Ulta hair salon. She cut my bangs way too short. So short friends even asked me if I had tried to cut my own hair. No, I paid dollars for that cut. On top of that my hair is naturally curly so very short bangs plus humid weather equals even shorter bangs. I had even brought her a picture of what I wanted and the picture had NO BANGS! I was very disappointed and cannot recommend this stylist nor trust this store salon.

Love our ulta the staff are always helpful and upbeat. Lots of prestige and standard brands. Easy parking and excellent hours. We are lucky to have them here.

Myself and others were having problems getting advertised specials and awards. The manager at the North Port store quickly fixed the problem I was having. The Sarasota Ulta is much better.

I arrived at the salon armed with photos of the color and hairstyle I wanted. I explained to the stylist how important my hair was to me as I had lost my hair in the recent past due to chemo...she said she could do the cut but not the color so we chose a copper. Well it was orange by the time she finished, and the cut was a bob which I definitely did not ask for. Also my hair has breakage and now frizzy!! The woman in charge said she did not have a manager until tuesday...that was two weeks ago, I have not received a phone call!In response to the owners response below...It was not an inconvenience...it was a nightmare. I am not going to email a helpdesk...im waiting for a phone call from the manager as I was told I would get the call

I first visited the North Port, FL store last week. I went there to find a concealer for a new scar that I have across my cheek. This scar just devastated me and I was unsure if anything could cover it enough for me to feel I could go out without a bandage on my face. Robin greeted me at the door and said she could help me. She made me feel so welcomed and confident as she brought over a few different products. With a dab here and a brush there, I was transformed! Thank you Robin and Ulta for a wonderful experience. I went out to dinner that night and felt fantastic!

Do not enjoy going to this store, much prefer going to Sarasota, or Naples.

This store carries a plethora of products....but it stops there! Rarely can you find a sales associate to help find or ask questions, and YES theres no mistake about the rude, unfriendly, sales girls in this store. I am a big spender here and oftentimes you are to receive a small sample of product, well you would think the cashier was paying for it out of her own pocket!!! It was like pulling teeth!!!...personally I beleive they help themselves to these items (especially as I saw one of the cashiers going thru them and grabbing out several of each of the promotional items). Yes not enough good help, I beleive this store could be doing 3 times better in sales if it wasnt for the staff!!! Too Bad

I really wish the had a no stars button I’m Beyond mad I went in to the store because I have heard lots of good things but I when I arrived I got nothing like that. this was my first time visiting a ultra store and my last. Upon arriving at this store with my baby I was followed I wanted to make sure I wasn’t just over reacting so stayed thinking it was all I’m my head. But no it was I was the only person of color in the store at the time and I was asked 4 time if I need any help to which I told them NO I was just looking . Then even the manager a lady ask after telling her NO I seen her get on the radio and a couple of mins later was follow by a different young lady who also asked if I need any help then told her No ask well while giving her a funny look. to which she asked me if I had Said anything and I told her NO. for me to then turn around 1 min later and see the same young lady standing behind me . That is what I could no longer take and made me mad to my core I then asked to speak to aa manager and over come the lady that stood behind the counter . I ask her for come corporates number she said we do have it. but then tried to make me feel as tho I was crazy and that they were not following me even when I explained that there where two other customer that was just standing there and did not even get the same treatment as me she then said I will talk with her. But to end I have contacted Corporate no one regardless of race, sex or anything else should be treated the way I was and no there less with there child present I feel so disgusted. (Sorry for the misspelled word I’m beyond mortified and just venting. )
