My experience was amazing! First place I found to take my drone and actually fix it. Had an appraisal done super fast and literally repaired it overnight! Super fast responses and updates. Showed up to my house sooner than I expected and works perfectly after a complete gimbal/camera replaced on my phantom 4!

Needed a rush repair before leaving on a trip and Dana bent over backwards to give me a hand. I just stumbled in this old review.Good news, I’ve had them do a couple of repairs since the first time I was there and I’m happy to say they are still great.This is my original review.I heard there was a drone repair business in Lorain County and while I hoped I wouldn’t need them I did...I’m really surprised by the scale of their operation and the attention they give to a customer.The place runs more like a doctors office than a store. Call for an appointment, you’re led into the “examination room” and they take a look at the damages and let you know the deal.Prices seem fair and the turnaround time was great. You can ship your drone across the country but mine was done and returned before it would have even arrived at DJI.I’m going to be picking up an FPV racing drone from them as well as some accessories for my Phantom 4 P.I can’t recommend them enough. Oh, and say hi to Dexter, he’s the office dog and super cool. :)

My DJI Mavic Air drone decided to fly itself into my house, breaking all of my propellers and breaking one of the arms. Poor aircraft looked like it had a dislocated shoulder.I checked around, found this reputable repair shop thats also very active in the drone community both on-line (YouTube) and in-person. For labor, they work on a flat-rate based on aircraft type, then they just add the parts in. With shipping, parts and labor, and a full set of new DJI OEM props, it was right around $200, which is awesome for everything I got.I could have technically driven the drone up to their repair center near Cleveland, paid for a rush repair, and saved shipping and time. But the turnaround with shipping was very good. Took about a week to get my drone back into my hands in perfect working order.On the other end, they performed an initial diagnosis, and submitted an official estimate in PDF on-line. All very official.Once you tell them to go ahead with the repair, they complete the repair, test the drone fully, including a test flight, then contact you for payment.As soon as you pay, they ship it back as soon as practical - for me, it was next business day.I liked the constant communication, as it made me feel like my aircraft and remote were in good hands. Would absolutely recommend this repair company to anyone looking to get their drone repaired.The flat-rate labor is nice, because anything thats going to cause a repair place to open up your hyper-miniaturized, easy-to-break drone, is going to spend at least an hour or two breaking it down, and putting it back together again in working order. Current ASE rates for auto repair labor run around $80-100. So their fixed labor rates are absolutely reasonable.Also, the mark-up on the props were basically Amazon level, so below MSRP, which made me happy.Again, my drone arrived, ready to fly, pre-calibrated, firmware updated, and everything tested.Ive flown my drone the past few days since it arrived, and it absolutely works better than even before the collision!As an avid drone flyer, I hope they stick around as a business, to take care of my drones whenever I break something.

Ohio Drone Repair was the best choice I made to repair my Mavic Pro! After a the wind took my Mavic Pro into a tree branch and resulted in a crash, my Mavic was left un-flyable. Looking at the sad customer experience DJI gives for drone owners, that was my last option. Doing some googling resulted in me finding Ohio Drone Repair. After reaching out to the owner I was courteously welcomed to get a free appraisal of the damage and repair. After dropping off my Mavic, I was kept in the loop on all the repairs that were necessary, along with all the troubleshooting he had done. In the end, he did his best to fix my Mavic, gave it all the new parts it needed (mostly the camera sensor and the left front arm) and credited me for the broken parts to reduce my bill. I was very satisfied with the way I was treated and how well he kept me informed. This experience felt much better than if I had sent it to DJI for repair, and received poor customer service, let alone not be a part of the appraisal service at all. This experience was personable, and that made all the difference. I will for sure be coming back here for any other drone repairs I would need in the future. I recommend him to any pilot needing repairs on their drone.
