Buyer beware. Two days after purchasing a Ford focus from Summit the transmission malfunction started blinking. I had forgotten about the lawsuit against ford for these years of cars all with unfixable transmissions. They had 3 of them on the lot. Of course the light doesnt go on when you test drive and I couldnt get it to my mechanic who would have caught it. For summit to sell a car and know it just wont be drivable because of the issues is pretty low. 6,000 dollars just up in smoke. Go somewhere else and avoid the Ford focus automatic transmission from around 2012 to 2016ish. Id think twice about buying from Summit. The picture is me on the side of the road broken down. 145 tow to the dealership.

Horrible, I called them about a vehicle for sale and they told me is was available but when I got there to look at it they said they sold it in the morning. I drove about 2 hour to complete waste my time.

Couldnt be happier! I had done a lot of shopping and was pretty disappointed by the time I hit their lot; Summit Automotive Group. My salesman, Robert Salas, was straight forward, friendly, and and honest. There was no second guessing or haggling. He helped me be an informed buyer. On top of that I got a really nice car for a great price. Even after the purchase he was very helpful to me. I wouldnt hesitate to buy another car from him and Summit and encourage others looking for a used car to stop by and look things over. Its a small lot but they have a lot of cars to see. Look for Robert. Hes a great guy. Ill be recommending Summit to my family, friends, and neighbors.

My wife and I bought our first car from Claudia at Summit Automotive Group about a month ago. We have had a great experience with Claudia! She was friendly and forthcoming about the car from the moment we called her and any small defects with the car that we hadnt noticed during inspection she has been very accommodating in fixing and she has continued to help us even after we purchased the vehicle. We would recommend Claudia as a salesperson as we felt she was fair and honest about the price and condition of the car.

We just bought a Toyota Sienna from them and were very happy with our experience. There was no pressure from anyone. Claudia was super friendly and Robert happily took care of a couple concerns we had with the vehicle. Very nice vehicle at a fair price!

After hours and hours of our painstaking search for a new car for my mom, she and I happened upon Summit Automotive Group in North Salt Lake. They had a beautiful little CRV that was exactly what my mom was looking for. After learning from Robert our sales guy, and the owner, that many of their cars are rebuilt titles she and I were both skeptical and concerned. We had heard plenty of horror stories and werent sure if this was a good bet. Robert was excellent to explain the exact damage this car had sustained. He let us take it to the dealer and get their opinion. And he bent over backwards to make sure he addressed all of our concerns. My mom has been driving the car for almost 2 months. And loves it more today than when she drove it off the lot.I am so grateful to Summit Auto Group and especially Robert for taking such great care of my mom. 10 out of 10 would highly recommend.

Cars are not ready to be sold. Looked at a car missing a spare tire fluid cap and everything in between they then took parts from other cars on the lot to try and continue to sell it to me. They’re dishonest on what work has been done to the car and cannot give you a straight answer on why the vehicle is missing things they’re hoping you wouldn’t notice. I would be surprised if they write their own reviews on here. Because the rating is highly inaccurate. Normally I’d say hey, cheap cars, cheap dealer. What do you expect? However, in this case they are below cheap. They’re trying to rip you off.

Had a great experience with Robert as we looked for an inexpensive car for our new driver. He was straight up with us, sharing the CarFax and the crashed pics of the car, so we could make an informed decision. He was low-key and easy to talk to, and we would do business with him again.

I purchased two cars from Summit Auto. I understood the risks since these cars were damaged and repaired. I found the sales people to be friendly and helpful. They were willing to stay late when we needed them and I love the cars so far. I am very please with our business with Summit.

Sold my friend a car with a critical defect in the frame rail. It was not welded together from a previous accident. Had my friend been in another accident, it would have snapped, pushed the engine block into the cabin and severely injured (think paraplegic) or killed her. When raised with the owner he evaded responsiblity, and refused to cooperate with tracking down the negligent repairer, and lied about and backpedaled on the remediation offered. They cannot be trusted, they are snakes. BUY ELSEWHERE!!!

Went in to check out a rebuilt car. Was still considering whether to buy it or not until I got all of the pictures and information from what they fixed since the car was in a crash. Finally agreed on a price and told him id come in within the next two days to come get it. When I ask him if I can come grab it Friday morning he tells me its sold.Forewarning: If you dont buy it on the spot, they will not keep it for you . Even if you agree on a price.

I picked out a make and model I wanted to buy, because I was commuting a hundred miles a day in my full-size truck and killing it. I found a good example online at Summit, and went in to look at it. I drove it and liked it. It was a rebuilt title, so I asked them to tell me what work had been done, and they did. I told them I would be back to buy it. My financing took longer than I thought it would. (I was re-financing my house, and using the cash-out to buy this car.) Fortunately, it was still there, and I walked in and bought it. In and out in twenty minutes. I had a TPMS warning I fixed myself. I had a check engine code that said to replace the manifold, but it went away, it was probably a sensor glitch. I drive it a lot and I love it.I compare this to a year or so ago, when I bought my wife at a well-known dealer downtown. I found the car I wanted online, walked in the front door, test drove it, told them I wanted to buy it, and it took them four hours to get me out the door. I still get phone calls from their service department because they put my number on someone elses file. I would gladly buy another car at Summit. To the reviewer who was upset that the car they wanted got bought, you need to realize, no one in the car business will hold a car for you on a maybe. If you want it held, ask the dealer if they will be willing to hold it for a deposit. I didnt, and I knew full well it might not be there by the time I got back.

Beware. There is a high degree of dishonesty in this business. I drove up to look at a car, fully aware that there are inherrent risks in buying salvage title car. However, I did hope that the dealer would be honest with me in describing the damage that had been repaired.I was told that the car that I drove had only minor damage and that the only repairs that had been done were to replace the bumper covers. This was the first warning sign. Why would a car be totaled if that was all of the work that it needed? The second warning signs were that the A/C didnt work and the car pulled severely to the right, indicating that there was more damage than was disclosed. When I brought these items to their attention, they again insisted that the car had only minor damage. I took some time to look under the bumper cover and could see significant frame damage and damage to the bumper supports that had not been repaired.Needless to say, I did not buy a car from them. However, I am worried that others may not take the time to really look into what they are buying. Remember, a salvage title car should be worth half of low book, not 70% of low book as Summit would have you believe. Even then, the car should be in pretty good condition in order for it to be worth half. I have owened salvage title cars in the past, and they have been great - but I also bought them knowing full well what had been repaired on the car.Avoid Summit auto at all costs!
