Pros: Store is clean and well-organized. Uncrowded. Good selection, reasonable prices. Some cute gift- and gardening items such as bird feeders (not cheap). More pleasant, easy, fast than big box stores. Big parking lot. *Most* employees and shoppers masked / following pandemic precautions.Cons: When I asked one employee man for help (who was standing alone looking at a product), he directed me to ask the woman working at cash register (who had a line of people waiting to check out). Of the 7 employees I saw there, none asked if I needed help. Some store brand spray bottles had holes.Would I go back? Yes.Would I recommend? Yes.

First class service that beats the big box stores. Im glad to see locally owned businesses like Ace thrive in a world where corporations have lost there way in providing personal, attentive help to consumers.

Good sized ACE with a lot of everything! Lots of grill supplies which was the reason for my visit.

This place is so much better than the alternatives. Friendly staff who remember your face and can actually help. Huge selection stuffed into a compact space. Your gonna pay 10% more, but its way more than worth it.

The store itself is great. But the stihl power tools side is a joke. I bought a weedeater new from them and purchased the extended warranty. After a year it got to where it wouldn’t run so I took it in to get checked. They gave it back and said it was fixed. Well it wasn’t nowhere near fixed so I took it back again. This time they charged me a service fee to fix it. Even though it was covered under warranty. They said it was my fault because I didn’t hold it wide open for at least a minute before shutting it down. But the last guy told me I didn’t need to run it full throttle so who knows. Well got it back and once again they said it was fixed. Now it pours fuel from everywhere. Idk what they left loose or what seal they didn’t replace but it’s awful. I will be taking it to tuskaloosa lawn equipment to get it fixed again. It will never go back in that store unless they hire a true mechanic.

I went in yesterday about 4:30 there was one woman running the whole store that I seen I stood in an aisle for a few minutes looking for drywall screws no one in the store asked me could I did I need help I went to check out the woman was on the phone took a few minutes then apologized I checked out and went on my Merry way

I was going to purchase the $194 pillow this holiday season but when I made it to the gift shop window I was told by a man name Rick “because I also had prepaid packages I needed to go to the post office because I was wasting his time.” He has the worst attitude and here we are in the middle of the holidays. He needs to be in the back stocking shelves not on the floor especially not a GIFT SHOP WINDOW. Who wants to buy something from a total jerk?? Not me.Merry Christmas.

Don’t waste your time or money with this store. There were wooden swing sets and chairs outside in the grass with no prices on any of the items. I asked three employees a price on a swing set. All three employees checked & told me the swing set was $219. We purchased the swing set for $219. We told the cashier; my dad would pick the swing set up later with the truck. We talked to an employee on the way out; she told us she was putting the signs out for the wooden chairs and swings. She told us the swing set was $219. We explained to her we just purchased it and would be back later to pick it up. One hour later we called Ace to let them know my Dad was there and he needs help loading the swing set. The assistant manager gets on the phone and explains to us that is not the correct price for the swing set. That is the price for just the swing and if we wanted the frame that would be extra. He offered a very small insulting discount for their mistake or he could refund our money. We took the refund and will spend our money at a business that honors the prices the employees tell the customers. Also, it’s very unprofessional to talk about a customer in the store in front of other customers. You never know who is listening.

Manager was extremely rude and the business is poorly ran. Product had one price on the shelf sticker and manager said he wouldnt honor it after I drove 45 mins and waited in line 15 while someone signed up for a rewards card. The worst part about it is the cashier said they did honor the price for another customer. It will cost him much more than honoring the price would have.....

Had not been in an ACE since I was a youngster. (Im 54 now.) Place had a lot more than I remember. Lots of paint & stain choices, power equipment, gardening and landscaping supplies, and theyve acquired Craftsman tools! They are a Stihl dealer, so thats really nice. Theyve even got camping supplies.I bought some vegetable plants and a Citronella plant for Alabamas overbearing mosquitoes. Good prices.The sales folks were extremely nice and helpful. Not smothering at all. I like this.Im definitely going to be a regular here from now on.

Because Six stars is not an option. This “Hardware Store” has everything. It is more akin to the old General Store that would inventory a little bit of everything for the weary travel who happened by. At the Ace Hardware Store Northport they have everything from Axes to Yeti’s and probably some stuff that starts with a Z too! Their friendly staff will gladly help you navigate the well stocked aisles of merchandise. Wonderful selections with reliable name brands. I’m saving my money for a Big Green Egg.

Convenient parking and exit...friendly atmosphere, almost down home neighbor feeling...went in for one item and they had several styles to select from...one of the salespersons was happy to demonstrate how each worked so it was easier to get what best fit my needs. Roll Tide!

I went again to make a return and if you go buying, return or whatever your need is at Ace Hardware. Do not deal with Sami. He is very rude and unprofessional. Talks to customers very badly and disrespectful. I did not have my receipt and the way he spoke to me and shoved me off I felt like he implied I was a thief due to no receipt. It wouldn’t have been so bad but there was 3 more people in line that was just looking at me as if I was label after his way of talking to me. This man doesn’t need a job in public or need to deal with public. He is very hateful and disrespectful to say the LEAST!!
