I had my sunroof repaired at Briggs recently. Now it works great. I had been searching for a shop that knew how to do this. Justin impressed me with his knowledge and confidence for doing the job. And his estimate of the cost was spot on. I am very pleased.

Came in for a follow up emissions testing. Guy behind the counter was not wearing a mask while talking with a maskless customer outside nor when he went inside to help me.Jermaine, the gentlemen who came out to do my testing, along with other mechanics were complying with the mandated mask policy. There were posted signs stating masks must be worn but this one dude must think hes an exception which is not acceptable.Jermaine - thank you and you are very welcome for the coffee and donuts for taking care of my car.Response to Justin: Not sure what there is to discuss??? Im guessing you were the guy not wearing a mask and think youre the exception to the rule? If not, Id strongly suggest you remind ALL employees, that they are required to wear masks.All the mechanics I saw wore masks so if they can while working on cars, certainly all employees can while sitting at the desk and talking directly to customers.Very simple and easy.

I went in for an emissions test and passed. The next time I use my car I had multiple sensors go off for no reason and upon turning on and off the car they went away, but then my check engine light came on. I called my usual mechanic and he said that it could’ve been an issue with the computers not being compatible (The one they hook up to the car and my car’s). My remote start also suddenly stopped working.I called Briggs and explained what happened and that my mechanic said to bring my car there and have them clear the code since it was likely not an actual issue.Now here’s where the problem came in… The man on the phone, the man that’s usually behind the desk, Was extremely rude and was almost not even listening and trying to blame it on my mechanic when I haven’t even had work done in the last few weeks, But I did have the emissions test at Briggs the day all of these issues started. He basically claimed to be too busy to deal with me and hung up on me before I was finished speaking. Very very rude and I would not recommend unless you want issues with your car after.

Wait time is long and not the friendliest folks. More importantly, they entered the incorrect information on my VIN verification which I need for registration. They noted my vehicle as a 4-door when its a two door! Have to call them about this today. Not pleased.

In town for work and woke up to flat tire. Dropped it off in the morning and had it ready by early afternoon. Even installed the tire for me and did a code scan so I could be sure I didn’t have any engine problems. Didn’t want surprises on ride home. Quick efficient service and very fair cost.

I was traveling through the state and had engine trouble. I pulled into Briggs service station on a hot summer day, late in the afternoon, no appointment and desperate to see if my car was worthy of making it home safely. They were VERY accommodating, even without an appointment they did a diagnostic on my car, told me I was ok to make it home (100 miles away) and what I needed to address when I got home. The owner/manager would not take money for his time even though he knew I was not ever going to be a repeat customer. I highly recommend Briggs for their customer service, putting customers first and their humanity. Thank you!

I was able to bring my car in on a whim, unlike the other stations around that are booked until the next month. This place provided outstanding service and patched a hole in the tire caused by a lone nail for no extra charge. The employees were friendly and accommodating. The only issue was how crowded the parking lot gets. Theres not a lot of real estate in the lot and the cars are sometimes doubled-up with emissions inspections and routine checkups looming on the weekends. Accessible location and great prices!

After navigating Mavis tire and getting screwed for flat repair, Town Fair tire who wont mount other peoples tires, and Walmart to buy the matching tires, I would highly recommend just doing the whole deal at Briggs. They are helpful, courteous and fair prices.

Found Briggs Tire on the Jeep forums as Jae and the Briggs team were highly recommended in CT for doing great work. I was bringing my own parts for the lift kit and was given a fair quote for installation, tire mount/balance, and alignment.Dropped my Wrangler off late on Wednesday and was ready for pickup at 4:30 the next day. Very fast and professional work. They stayed in contact with me the entire way as they were doing the work and had to make a couple unexpected modifications, which they charged a fair price to do. Ive been driving it since then with a huge smile on my face and cannot recommend them enough for the great job done! I will absolutely be going back again in the future.

I had them put four new tires on my vehicle. When i picked my car up i noticed they had scraped two of my black rims and gouged a third. On the drive home there was a very noticeable shake on the steering wheel. Called them and brought the vehicle back to get the rims repaired and a re-balance done. They did give me a loner which was nice. Picked my vehicle up the following day. Brought it back 3 more times with the same issue. On the 4th time the owner Kevin called me and said you have a bent rim. i told him that the vehicle was perfect when i brought it to him to have the new tires installed and is it possible that the rim got bent during the changing of the tires. He said absolutely not and i dont want to discuss this any further and hung up on me. He and I both know they bent my rim as they also damaged 3 of the 4 rims. I feel like i am a pretty good judge of character, but this guy fooled me. Very disappointing that he was not willing to admit their mistake and make good on it.

Safety issues. Vin/Emissions, perhaps fine - Anything else I do not trust the work based on numerous experiences. We came to Briggs about 4 years back for a VIN verification as they were on the DMV list. VIN verification was a glance over and we had the form signed. The past couple years we have tried bringing our vehicles there but each time there is an issue, increasingly serious and dangerous safety mishaps due to poor execution and follow through (not replacing fluid (ie: on an oil change), not securing certain parts, not securing lug nuts, not fixing to manufacturer or client specifications even when in in writing, stripping parts, etc.). To waiting clients, via phone or in personal interaction, the older gentleman (Kevin) is not only unpleasant but unprofessional, except with certain individuals. He will tell you an oil change will be 45-60 minutes but youre there for 2 hours, no update, nothing and reply with attitude when you ask for an update. His son, Justin, is dry but polite. Unfortunately he does not seem to care if you come back or not and does not ensure with his workers that items are done as requested or even as required for safety. Workers (some, not all) act as though the work is a hassle and more than once the work took twice as many days as I was told. Safety is paramount and you should have no doubt that your mechanic (or their employees) are double checking their work - Briggs is NOT THE PLACE. Will not put my familys safety in their hands again.

Justin was great. He did what was needed and worked with me on the price. They also gave me a loaner car so I could get to and from work while they fixed my brakes. Will definitely be using them again in the future.

Had a flat tire (a screw was lodge in the tread). Called Briggs and they told me to come on in. Justin looked at the tire and said i can fix that and rolled it off. I was out the door and on my way in less than 15 minutes and without forking over much cash. Will definitely come back again!

First time I let any one work on my Jeep outside the Jeep dealership service.I have been back twice and will be returning again. I had service done to repair my check engine light and they did everything they could to help the problem and worked with me very closely. There customer service was outstanding and I would go back in a heart beat. Was stuck in a bind before a holiday weekend, and needed an alignment. Literally every garage in Norwalk wouldnt see me for 2 days, Justin @ Briggs said, come by whenever you can, and 10 mins later the car was up on their lift. Was done super quick, and for a good price... Really saved my bacon!

Good place for quick emissions check

I cannot comment on the quality of work. But, I brought my vehicle in for an alignment and they repeatedly stalled it (manual) and simply did not seem to know how to drive it. It does not inspire confidence at all and if you have a manual vehicle I strongly recommend avoiding them. I happen to like my motor mounts. They were also rude and dismissive of my concerns. They seem to have the attitude if you dont like it you can leave. Ill vote with my dollars elsewhere.

The clutch in my 1994 Ford Ranger went this past Monday and since this place is right down the road I figured I would take it to them to have it replaced. Had it towed Monday morning around 9:30am and called and told them the clutch had been slipping and now wouldnt engage at all. They said ok and called me about 4 hours later to tell me that they needed to replace the clutch (duh!!) and it would be around $1000. Not outrageous but mighty expensive and after hemming and hawwing for a minute I told them to please proceed.Next day I call them around lunch to inquire about my vehicle and they said it wouldnt be ready until the next day because they had to order a part which every napa, autozone, and carquest within a half mile would have in stock. Nice enough to give me a brown ford windstar minivan as a loaner.Next day I call them and they tell me it wont be ready until 5pm. Well I had a business dinner in NY that i was leaving for around 3 and wouldnt get back from until late so I told them next day I would pick it up.Finally picked my truck up Thursday morning (after they spent 4 days on a 6hr job) and went to pay the bill that was now $1200. WTF! I politely reminded them that the price we agreed on was $1000 and they tried to give me some bullshit excuse about having to spend an hour to diagnose the problem. AFTER I TOLD THEM THE CLUTCH WAS SHOT AND THEY CONFIRMED IT! Ok, so they knocked off $72 from the bill, thanks.Driving the truck home is going ok when the check engine light comes on. Just drove this truck to Houston and back less than 2 mos ago with no issues and replaces the front brakes and wheel bearings the previous weekend and was running fine. Bring the truck back to them and they tell me there is no light on (most likely cleared the code and told me to come pick it up). On top of it there was a screen in the clutch fluid reservior which their tech lost and then when I pointed it out the owner (Kevin) acted like I was stupid and there might have not even been a screen there to begin with after I had seen it four days before.Not the cheapest or friendliest place to deal with but did give me a rental vehicle which was nice. If it was warmer and I had more free time I would have had a friend help me do it but gave them a shot and was mildly let down. Ho hum.
