Made an appointment online from their website. I went into Meineke and checked in. The receptionist was very polite, nice and professional. They did a great job on my car in an efficient manner and I would return for their services.

I had the pleasure of working with Mike when I took my VW in for some repairs. He was incredibly kind and very transparent with the work he was going to do. I had my father call him just to double check since I’ve been scammed with a few places before and he was very confident that Mike is a man of honesty and good morals. I ended up taking my car to the VW dealership due to a time crunch on my behalf, but I do 100% recommend this place. Being a woman that doesn’t know much about cars it’s easy to be taken advantage of, I can’t say that I experienced this at all at this auto shop. Thank you Mike!

This was my first time going to meineke and the service was beyond amazing. The owner Rick was unbelievably helpful.I stopped in without an appointment and they took me as soon as I got there. Jay helped analyze my car and was very thorough in his assessment. I didnt have a mechanic as I just moved here but I do now. This place hands down beyond the shadow of a doubt not only cares about their customers but also offers affordable,reasonable pricing and their time is impeccable. I contacted several big name places in the area. They literally were shoving my business away with customer parts I purchased. I Talked with Rich and he got me scheduled and alotted time for 5 hrs of work. Installed all my parts and had no issues. Jay and Craig were very quick and competent mechanics that knew exactly what they were doing. I wont bother calling around anymore. Mieneke, has won a customer for life with just the conversation and respect alone. Treat people how you want to get treated. Take notes big names auto repair chains, these guys are going places. For Rick, Jay, and Craig, sincerely thank you and if you cant tell, yes i highly recommend this place!!!

Rick was very helpful and nice to talk with while the oil was changed. The service was fast and the workers were knowledgeable and friendly. I will definitely return and I recommend this shop to anyone.

Took my wifes vehicle in before a long trip to have a full inspection. They recommend rear brakes and brake flush which made perfect sense for 75k. Michelle was very professional and complemented how nice we keep the vehicle. The job was done at a great price and same day as my appointment. We were very impressed and appreciated how great John Plum and his team took care of us.

These guys were not only professional and timely, but, the manager was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Honestly, I also found their rate to be reasonably-priced. I most definitely would go back and recommend my family and friends to this place.

I had a pretty great experience here. I called and asked for a second opinion and they said bring it on down. They got me right in and looked at it for free just to earn my business! They ended up finding out what was wrong with it and it ended up being not as big of a problem as the other mechanic said. But I didnt have the time to do the work that day. I ended up calling around for that repair and the dealership beat their price by almost $80.00.The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because the dealer beat their price by a good amount and they didnt put back on a piece by my tire that protected the belt. I am sure if I waited around they would have done it but it should have been put back on the same day I was there instead of keeping it there for me to come back another day.So customer service was great! There was no pressure to use them or pushing for extras which was nice! Beside those two things my experience was great and would definitely reccomend them to anyone in new london county. Always call to get a second or even third opinion!!

Trying to find the words to express my appreciation for Mike & the team at the Meineke in Norwich. Sentimental over a car shop, sounds ridiculous, I know. Keep reading...In July, when grandma died, my car needed some immediate work and tires in order for the girls and I to get to Texas in time for the funeral... Zane called, figuring it was a long shot, 15 minutes before they closed. Without missing a beat Mike said drop it off and I will make it happen. He got it all done, plus got his hands on tires that he didn’t have in stock at the shop... calling me to pick up the car around 10:30 the next morning. We made it to Texas, on time because of him. Mike had thoroughly explained every recommendation he made and what needed attention as we moved forward.When Zane deployed, we knew both vehicles needed oil changes, but the truck also had a check engine light on. Mike quickly got the Mazda taken care of and was completely understanding when it came to the logistical difficulties of only having one driver in the house to move vehicles around. When it came to the truck Mike and his team quickly and diligently got down to the problem and called immediate to talk me through what they had found. I had told him that I am not well versed in car stuff and he has always patiently talked me through everything in great detail so that I know why certain options are on the table. He has never once sounded impatient or annoyed - and he seems to run his customer service with incredible attention to detail. I told him to go ahead and get started. Then he asked if I wanted to take some time to check his quote elsewhere. On top of that he came in ahead of schedule and under the quote, not to mention he showed me the affected parts and what they should have looked like. He also went above and beyond to help, knowing that my work & family schedule and my husband’s deployment presents certain challenges.They will be our first stop for car stuff. If you ever need someone you can trust to look at your car, Mike is your guy. He works incredibly hard for his customers and and makes it all easy, even for people like me who can only locate the car battery. Go see them!

Excellent service on a tire with a slow leak...it was repaired in a timely manner and I was on my way. I will definitely go back to and recommend Meineke of Hillsborough.

The manager after reviewing my wife’s car quoted us $590 saying after coming in just for an oil change that she needed brakes and calipers. Stating “I never replace brakes without changing the rotors too”. We asked him again if this was the final price he said yes, and guaranteed it. When my wife came back to get the car 3 hours later he then said the total was $750+. When she asked why, he said labor costs and taxes. Crook, will never go back there with anything I own and tell everyone else I know to spread the word.

I usually don’t bring my car to these types of places, but since this is right down the road from me and I needed an urgent repair I gave it a shot. Needless to say, I was very pleased. These guys did a great job and spent a lot of time on my car. They went above and beyond for me. This is an honest business which is customer satisfaction oriented. Mike was especially helpful and really went the extra mile. Would definitely bring my car there again.

They were very friendly and did a great job! They replaced my entire exhaust back to the cat, and they did it in less time and for less money than estimated. They even broke down everything that was needed and physically showed me on the car where the leaks were coming from, etc.. I personally had a great experience there, and I especially appreciated that they didnt treat me as if I didnt know anything about cars. Mike was very helpful, and I will definitely be back!

Outstanding service at Meineke Hillsborough, NJ. Not only did they diagnose the correct issues with my VW engine but did not try to overcharge for unneeded work and false quotes as I was given at VW Bridgewater dealership. Also outstanding service from Hillsborough’s manager Ritch and his mechanic Ian. I highly recommend that anyone use this facility for their auto service. These folks are completely HONEST.

I was beyond satisfied with the service here. Mike provided very clear explanations of all fuel issues with my Silverado and the recommended corrective actions. Additionally, Mike recommended some additional minor rust prevention measures and completed them at no additional cost.Being someone who restores cars and repairs his own vehicles, my very limited timeline required me to seek professional help, and I could not have been happier with the service here. It might not look like much from driving by, but inside Are a group of the most superbe mechanics that ever held a wrench! For 18 months, my check engine light was on. I took it to 2 different garages; several times, one being where I purchased it brand new from in 2012. More than a dozen mechanics have looked at the car, and were not able to resolve the issue. Just 2 days at Meineke car care center in Norwich and it is fixed! I hold nothing but the highest of praises for this team of extremely talented Gentlemen! Mike and Jay are the BEST!!!! They are a first class establishment, and I will not hesitate to bring my car there for routine maintenance. Hand washing my car at the end of it all, was the cherry on top! I highly recommend this Establishment! You will not be disappointed, I assure you!

They tried to take advantage of the fact I had an out of state oil change and told me the mechanic who did my last oil change tightened the filter so tight that it was gonna cost me over $100 to get it off so I left and went somewhere else for an oil change where they didn’t have any problem getting it off. A bunch of crooks and con artists

Good customer service

Couldnt and wouldnt use this business again last time I got my brakes serviced here it had switched from the previous to the current owner/management i dont know who changed or care but it was outrageously priced way above the national average they wouldnt let me bring in my own brakes to be put on not hey we have to make sure theyre right just a flat no brakes except ours and were rude and talked down to my wife. Well its time again for new brakes and I figured I would give them a shot they have a coupon for 50% off quoted 400 dollars per axel and the 50% off is for brakes only so still over 300 per axel while the national average is 150-250 also again talked over my wife and yelled at her over the phone definitely NOT coming here ever again and will not only not recommend the place but recommend against it. Tldr: extremely rude, way overpriced, not amazing service or treatment to justify putting up with either.

I just showed up for my oil change and there is no one inside. I received multiple texts and emails today that confirmed my appointment was still on. There is even a sign on the door that says they are open today but after calling multiple times no one has come to help. I will not be using Meineke again

Historically I thought Meineke specializes in exhaust work....refused to do basic exhaust installation for me🤷🏾‍♂️....cant help but wonder if its because I dont Matter?...had the work done somewhere else in less than an hour without a problem. Seem to be selective as to who they will perform work for🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

Fixed the flex pipe on my 2006 Kia Optima fast and did not cost half as much as I thought it would. I would definitely go back if needed. (This 1st post is from 3 years ago)---------------------------------Today (9/25/21) I brought my car in for the exhaust (it was very loud). They showed me what needed to be done before they started working on it and when they were done they showed me exactly what they did. I couldnt believe the difference that one small pipe did. These guys at Meineke are awesome. I probably thanked them 20 times before I left. I didnt know my car was running when I went to leave, thats how quiet it is. I am more than satisfied with the work they do there and I will always go back. I highly recommend taking your car there.Thank you again for the awesome work that you guys do. 😎

Absolutely love this location (Thames st norwich) there are 2.guys here I trust fully with my vehicles! They have been honest, respectful, and as helpful as possible from the first day I went there. I refuse to go anywhere else! If you want to get it done right the first time go see rich! Hands down the best!

Exceptional customer service! My vehicle recently needed some emergent repairs, and I was quoted at one auto body shop nearly $1200. I called Meineke in Norwich on a whim and for the same job, they quoted me half of my original estimate. The mechanic was kind enough to even bring me into the shop and show me the problem with my vehicle and what they were going to do to fix it. They were prompt, honest and went out of their way to help me last minute with a few other repairs I needed done. I would highly recommmend the service here!

I was hesitant to go to Meineke by my home. I had used them before and the service was not the best.NOW, there has been a complete turn around! They have a very personable and knowledgable district manager that has been there for about a year now! He took the time to explain everything about my vehicle, serviced in a very timely manner! The price was good ( I also had a coupon) which saved me 20 dollars for a full synthetic oil change. He also showed me the type of filter that is needed for my car. He explained sensors and what needs to be done. Not to mention, I have another vehicle that is extra long vehicle, I was turned away years earlier, now told bring it in, not a problem, if there is a longer bay is in Groton. This was for a brakes. What changed? Same place!Anyway, if you need a place to bring your car Go to THIS Meineke. My car was making weird noises on left hand turns and accelerating after a stop. Went there to get it looked at. It was just some rust in one of the rear drum brakes. The mechanics blew out the rust, and sent me on my way without charging me a dime. I think theyre pretty damn legit and would recommend them should you suddenly have car trouble.

They were kind and understanding

They were upfront and very clear about costs and possible options that I had for repairs. They also brought me into the garage to show me their findings without me having to ask to see. Honest and courteous.

My go to place to go for minor car repairs. I go there for oil changes and the people who work there are usually very nice. I havent had a bad experience there yet. And when there is something that is out of their league, they will let you know and also help direct you to a place where you can bring your car.

I went to Meineke for the preferred oil change just a few days ago, which is supposed to include a 23 point inspection, topping off all fluids, tire rotation, free 4 months of roadside assistance, among other things..The first thing I notice when they tell me its done is that they didnt tell me anything is wrong with my car. If they had done the 23 point inspection like they were supposed to, they wouldve easily noticed that my rotors are horribly warped, my struts are messed up and my wheel bearing needs to be replaced. but hey, nothing is wrong with my car.next, my tires werent rotated. I could only tell because it was a day after a snow storm so the front wheels were covered in salt from the roads, while the back wheels were a little cleaner, and they were in the same place after the tire rotation.and lastly, after i left i realized on the invoice that they gave me that email is required for roadside assistance... they failed to ask me what my email was. surprise.And since all of these things werent done, Im assuming all of my fluids werent topped off, or any of the other extras done.The only reason I chose Meineke over other repair shops that day was because all of these things were supposed to be included. needless to say I wont be going back there again. If you say youre going to do something, do it. Lazy ass people.

The manager is so unprofecisonal and argue with the employees about their job in front of the customers. and when you call to make an app he always try to give you one a week away from the present day.

T-Law from the DJ booth in Newent Connecticut says, Just way to expensive . To fix my exhaust was $480.00 . Had it done at Plainfield Service Center for $170.00. That is one big deference in price.

Google search reveals this place does emissions testing. I went there and right on the front door states that this place does not do emissions testing. If you have enogh people coming to want emissions testing to warrant placing a sign on your window, then I suggest you fix the problem with the search feature, instead of annoying people who drove all the way to your place to find out afterwards.By the way, the front of the shop is starting to look like a junk yard with the of the cars and that they are not organized at all.
