I am consistently let down by the service department. Three weeks ago I dropped my Silverado off for an oil change. When I called to see if it was done and ready to be picked up before closing they had not gotten to it. This caused me to be without a vehicle for two full days and was barely given an apology. They noticed a leaking oil cooler line and scheduled an appointment for this issue three weeks later. I dropped my vehicle off again for a 9:00 am appointment. I called at noon to get a status and was told that the truck had not been in the shop yet. I called back at two to see if there was any progress. Still nothing. I called at 4 and spoke to the service manager to be told that the parts for the truck were not even on site. They got the truck done the next day, again without a truck for two full days. This is the third time a simple service took more than one day and nothing was given in return besides an apology. Scranton NEEDS to get their service department in check

Appointment for service made easily on line.Arrived a little early, met by a smiling young lady who checked me in expediently.Waiting area was quiet and comfortable with complimentary coffee.Service was completed in a timely manner.Received a video summarizing the service, which was a first after 36 years as a Chevy owner.Was out the door with a completed service, wash, and interior vacuum.Found a new dealer to patronize when in the area for our summer getaway.

Tried screwing me on an alignment. Paid for it, get it home and look at it, alignment bolts were still factory paint line matched. Bring it back and immediately got attitude from Tammy at the desk. Explained the situation and said all I want is an alignment or my money back. Spoke to a manager, made a new appointment. Get it back in, now they cant due an alignment due to a bent control arm they said. And to top it off I was told my steering rack bolts needed a software upgrade... seriously! So I leave, take my car to a different gm dealership and in and out perfect alignment with no bent control arm and steering rack bolts taken care of per tsb. I get home and email owner stating what happened and he was polite in returning my email and getting my money back promptly. He himself id give 5 stars to. The dealership 1 only because I have to. Other bad experiences buying, and more servicing which I had to call regional gm rep about, which is a story for another day. I buy 2 vehicles every 3 years, and have since switched dealerships for service and purchasing and no issues further to date.

I dont know if anyone reads this because Ive said so many things and it has never been questioned. The final incident this time is my tailgate was fixed and the wrong insignia was put on (LT. I have an RST). Someone was suppose to get back to me when a new insignia was ordered. No one did. I tried to order one from Parts myself. They stated they didnt sell it. I would have to order one on line. I did. Weeks later I made an appointment and brought it in to get the one I bought installed. One got installed. It was from the dealership. They never told me they got one for me. I just happen to come in for an appointment I made for the one I purchased. Again, no communication from the dealership. More money I unnecessarily spent. I will be going to a different Chevy dealer and probably will by a Ford after this. Thirteen Chevy vehicles and 30 years down the drain.

I paid almost $500.00 dollars to get my car fixed a day after my car broke own, now I clearly told them at the dealership to find out the reason my card engine light was on also it was showing on my dashboard screen that ANTI THEFT was on meaning it was the computer system who was acting up because my key stater broke . If I go directly to a dealership trusting them with my car specially nowadays when financially it’s hard for everyone hoping to get my car fix with the little that I have I was expecting to get it fix not patched. I will never go back to the dealership or trust this company anymore it’s sad considering that I have been going there since I purchased the vehicle.

This was my first time at the dealership. The woman who checked me in for my oil change was awesome! She took the time to explain everything to me and showed me around the dealership. The technician who did my oil change was fast and I love getting the video on my vehicle’s multipoint inspection.

They worked to identify the issue and helped me relieve a lot of stress by moving around rentals and loaners to help. I can not speak enough to the overall want to help and make everything as stress free as possible. I am a customer for life.

The dealership was great. They were all very friendly and helpful. I was there with a 5 year old and they were patient. Kamila was the sales person and was helpful. I negotiated the price and options and then went back the next evening to sign the paperwork. Everything was as promised. They gave me a good value on my trade-in and a fair deal on the purchase. The financing process was clean and easy and transparent. No gimmicks and no games. I also like the follow-up from their service department. Oil changes arent 2x what they should be and everyone was friendly. If you go here with a clear idea of what you want and a reasonable price, they will treat you well and meet your expectations. I also really value being able to bring my new truck to the dealer for service and it is not a one and done interaction.

I recently purchased a new vehicle from Scranton and was extremely satisfied with their staff. They are completely straight forward with you and what you see is what you get. Some people may not like that approach, but I can definitely appreciate it. They didnt waste my time, and the sale was simple. I will say however, dont expect much when it comes to the extras. You will get what you pay for and they are fair. It certainly makes for a quick and easy sale if thats what you are interested in and I imagine if you visit a car dealer, then you are. If youre not, you should be... Its refreshing!

My Equinox came in for an oil change & to check brake pads. I received a great video from the mechanic that showed my brake pads while he explained why they’re still in good shape. Then he showed me the millions of cracks in my tires (dry rot) & he recommended 4 new tires. I never would’ve bought four new tires from you that day if he didn’t show me the need. LOVE the video!! Tammy was also amazing, as always. She had my car ready, even with the new tires, before I got out of work, & her customer service is simply exceptional!!

I was booked for an oil change and when I was given the bill, I explained that I had a coupon for $30 off the regular price and that I was having new tires put on the next day. Without hesitation, the young lady (Allie I think was her name) went in to my profile and found the coupon I was talking about and gave me the discount. We also had a lovely conversation and I told her that because of people like her that made me want to have a relationship with a dealer. My last 3 cars-all Equinoxes- were purchased from them. I started my relationship when it was Mallon Chevrolet and will stay with Scranton.

Apparently the sales manager dont talk to each other so if one sells a car and one had a deposit on the same car they are completely unaware and end up leaving you without a car. And they have no problem doing it and just play stupid. Sheisty

I had 4 new tires put on my 2012 Cadillac and had an alignment done about a month ago. It sounds the same as it did prior to getting the new tires. Either the wrong tires were put on,the alignment was done wrong or not at all,or all four tires needed to be aligned. The tires make rumble sounds and I get the impression that Im riding on the side walls.

This is your 3rd attempt at repairing an issue that GM is apparently aware of an recommended an incorrect solution to the 2 times previous I have brought it in for this issue. I dont believe I should be charged for something you have been unable to adequately correct.4/14 UPDATE: While told they are issuing a refund, its been over a month since I contacted them and still nothing. Ive had to call for updates, even though Ive been told they would keep me regularly posted, and each time I get the same Let me check where it stands response with zero additional information and no refund.

The guy checking me in did not even say hello/ acknowledge me. He immediately started clicking on the computer. At check out I was given my paperwork and no one talked with me about the multipoint inscription. I asked a floor personal about what a specific check box meant on my paperwork. He referred me back to the checkout receptionist who had to go ask. Who then gave a poor explanation of what the yellow check meant. Got into my car, the next recommended oil change sticker was not changed. All around awful customer service. Will not be back. Will go to the mystic location

I have never bought a vehicle online before. Josh Dickman was very helpful with our purchase. We started with wanting a car other than black or white and then we had a trade from LA which complicated things. We also paid cash and there was a snag with paying for the vehicle but i dont know if the snap were at my end of the dealerships. In any case, Josh did all he could to get us on our way. He explained the technology of the Tahoe which was extensive and we did pretty well. Josh walked us through the process.

Recently brought my 2016 Chevy Trax for check engine light due to skipping. Only had it a little over a year with 22,000 miles. Called to make an apt. Was told they are booked but need to get my Trax in asap and also have a warranty that provides a rental. Drove my car up on Tuesday morning spent 4 hours there because they could not provide me with a rental. Got drove home so had to waste a day of vacation. I was told continually I would get a rental. Was going to pick on up at enterprise in Norwich(I live in Westerly RI) Was told I had until 6. Got up there and the rental place was closed. Got another rental, drove up again the rental place didnt have the approval from the service department, he then talked to 4 different people who had no clue was going on. By then I was done running around and taking time out of work. Then maybe an hour late get a text my car was done but no one could bring it to me, which I was at work with no car. The manager did not want to work with me at all. The service guy Terry did try his best, and got me a full tank of gas.... but this was a 4 day spand of getting the run around. Make sure you have your own plans in place if you need to bring you car in for service.

I had an appointment for 9 am on a Wednesday truck wasn’t touched all day no one knew anything about my truck. They had my truck for 3 days when they finally got to my truck to fix the oil pressure sensor they only offered me a 10% discount which didn’t make a difference at all still paid almost $900. Piss poor service and didn’t offer any solutions time to find a new dealership to have work done. highly recommend you don’t use Scranton Chevrolet for service needs.

Check-in was easy, making an appointment was easy and check-out was easy. I asked to be called about price of getting taillight fixed so I could give permission to do the work but did not receive a call and light was replaced anyway without my permission. Service clerk helped take care of that issue fairly. I didnt get a video report like paperwork stated I would or report of status of how vehicle was doing at checkout. Other than that it was a good experience.

I was working with Tudor and David (sales manager) on a car that was in the body shop but was told that I couldnt put a deposit on it because it was not at the dealer but that I was first in line. I traded my truck in in preparation of the sale and this was dragged out over 15 days. They called me and told me someone else put a deposit on it and that I couldnt buy the car after I was told I couldnt put a deposit on it and this is after I traded in my daily... Terrible service and terrible sales methods. I trusted them and they sold out

I bought my Corvette 2012 Z06 from Scranton Chevrolet in early March. The car was pristine with only 2,330 original miles on it. Yesterday I went back for an oil change and to have a Corsa Xtreme axle back exhaust system installed. Mark is great to deal with and the quality of the installation was superb. The exhaust tips are perfectly aligned, look fantastic, and the system has a deeper, throatier, and louder growl than the stock exhaust. I couldnt be happier.

Communication was almost nonexistent. My truck spent 2.5 weeks at your dealership for an oil change, tire rotation and 4 warranty issues. My paperwork I received when picking up the truck says that the aero shutter module was replaced to correct the CEL and my backup camera was replaced due to a bad seal. There were zero resolutions listed for the transmission issue and starter grinding. I had been told over the phone that some transmission settings were reset for both issues, but there is no confirmation of that on my paperwork. I also spoke with someone (tony I believe) on the phone on 5/13 that told me my transmission issue was due to a failing torque converter based on the described symptoms. When I stopped in the next day to ask for an update (because I never got the phone call I was promised), there was no record of anything about the torque converter or our discussion. The torque converter was not replaced. My original service advisor (Drew) was completely clueless every time I called for updates (because he never called me) and regularly gave conflicting information. It wasn’t until I started talking with Allie that I actually started getting the callback and updates I was promised, but she couldn’t tell me about anything that wasn’t in the computer or coming from the tech. Somehow the torque converter diagnosis was forgotten about. After picking up the truck on 5/19, the truck was shuddering at light throttle the entire way home. This is noticeably worse than before I dropped the truck off. I’m unsure if this is related to the transmission settings being reset or my probably failing torque converter lock up clutch. I also received no record of my multipoint inspection that was apparently done. Overall, I was thoroughly unimpressed with my service experience and was without my truck for 2.5 weeks for something that should have taken a day to perform (after receiving parts). The only positive experience was working with Allie and finally being updated on the progress. If it wasn’t for her, this would be a 1 star review.

I visited Scranton Chevy of Norwich because they had a leftover 2019 Chevy 2500HD truck that I saw on the internet. I was immediately greeted by Tudor on the phone and when arriving in person. He was very friendly and helpful. Scranton Chevy gave me a very fair trade in value and negotiated on the cost of the truck. From start to finish, Tudor dotted every i and crossed every t. He made sure that the deal was a total success and I appreciate it. I would 100% reccomend this group to my friends and family. I paid for service, same exact problem I bought it in for still exist. They fixed NOTHING! they charged me for 2.5 hours diagnostic just to say they didnt find anything and need more time/money (850$ worth of diagnostic FEE) . When I asked to talk to corporate I was giving the run-around for 30 minutes. And the problem they DID NOT fix but was paid to do. I literally told them what they had to do when I walked in (seen it on youtube), they attempted to do exactly what I said might needed to be done. Left my interior dash piece they took out loose. I am in contact with corporate and BBB right now.Scranton sucks

After reviewing my paperwork I found that they charged me for vin etching which never got done. My loan vehicle sale price differed from the dmv paperwork they gave me. I got sent a bill from my old loan which they “ paid off” then said I owed it. The gap insurance I paid for had the truck I traded in info on it not the one I bought. I’d rather walk with no shoes on than buy another car from them!!! I wish I could give a zero star or negative stars!!!

Sat in the waiting area for 90 minutes. Got up to walk around and my truck was sitting in the lot. Went to service and the receptionist asked if she could help—told her the problem and she went to the service desk and said it would be 5 minutes for him to print out the invoice . He brought the invoice to me and I gave him a coupon I had He said he had to go back to the service desk to take care of the coupon. About another 10 minutes went by and the receptionist asked me if he was helping me. Said I had no idea. She again went to check at the service desk and came back with the invoice. I was not happy

I was fortunate to deal with Kamalia Pelliccia who was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING in every way! Kamalia made the whole experience simple and I LOVED her and her kind and sincere personality! My only dilemma was when I was signing the finance papers I wasn’t expecting to be asked about a Warranty so I wasn’t prepared and James talked me into getting an extended warranty. I was thinking I was buying a new car car I didn’t need one but I understand James thought process. I decided immediately not to take it and James said he cancelled it for me. I understand that is his job so I don’t fault him. I was on a conference call at the same time with my daughters doctor and couldn’t concentrate and I had to make a decision right away. I did Cancel it so all is good. I want you to know I would maybe have thought about keeping it if it was a GM Warranty and not a 3rd party Warranty. More importantly I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY NEW CAR! I brought my 2017 Chevy Colorado in for routine maintenance of an oil change and tire rotation. I was also having problems with the automatic transmission not shifting properly. My Service Technician Tammy recommended the oil be changed with new fluid. After completion of this service the transmission is shifting properly. Another Great Job, Thank You

I had a terrible experience getting the wheel bearings replaced on my 2016 Cadillac SRX. It took them 8 business days to get my car finished. I heard every excuse in the book, and was even lied to several times. My extended warranty was bought through them, if I go to MJ Sullivan, it is a $100 deductible, which would be worth it!!!

Not only was I treated with respect Congeniality and overall well sense of being, I had forgotten something and what I presume to be my mechanic gave me what I needed. Much better experience than last time even though everybody has time constraints. Great job, Scranton! I had a scheduled appointment on Monday to put a bug guard on the front of my truck and rain guards on the side. I arrive at the appoint get checked in and am in waiting room and I am told they got the wrong parts and that they are going to order the right parts and have me come back Wednesday morning. I arrive Wednesday morning am waiting almost two hours they installed the rain guards on the side but did not have the right parts for the bug guard on the front of the truck. They said they would order and to come back Thursday afternoon and it would take 10 minutes to mount the bug guard on the front of the truck. I arrive Thursday afternoon and have to wait an hour and forty minutes for the truck to be finished. I was greatly disappointed with the experience given I have been a loyal customer and have purchased three vehicles now from this dealership. They did not offer apologies or any discounts for the inconveniences they caused me over the three day period to get the work done. I am not sure if I would use their service department again.

They had a truck in transit and she knew I wanted the truck as soon as possible so she arranged to pick up the truck at the port. I needed an oil change and when I called they told me to come right in. Everyone was very friendly and I didnt have to wait. Usually I have to wait for an appointment and then wait in their waiting room. IAlso, I had issues with my registration due to covid-19 and you all took care of it immediately. You guys are the best and I am very happy with both my experiences!

You replaced the head in August and never changed the O2 sensor. So it eventually was contaminated and cost ME $500 because YOU did not do the correct service.I am VERY upset that you caused me this additional expense.Also, I had planned on sending my daughter to you for a new car purchase in December. That will not happen.Customer satisfaction and paying for YOUR mistakes should should be automatic.

So far so good. Neco and Jim were a pleasure to work with.Very professional. They were prompt and real considerate of my disbelief / distaste for this farce of a flu weve been experiencing for the last 14 months.Thanx to the Demon cracts. If there follow up service / dept is anything like the sales departments theyll do well with the local public.For some reason I do believe the blue collar counterparts of the organization could be the backbone. They had a comfortable /confident feel about them also. We know Thats where the real reviews come from. Best thing we can do is.Stay tuned.

PLEASE READ! First, let me start off by saying how wonderful my buying experience was. The staff was professional and the buying process was seamless. So why 1 star review? Immediately after purchasing my truck from this dealer, someone started opening fraudulent credit cards under my name, bank accounts stolen, drivers license number stolen, etc. I immediately reached out to the dealership to question any security breach they may have had, but after a few phone transfers and confusion, the staff became defensive and explained how many “locks they have on their doors and how many security cameras they have monitoring their sales room.” I didn’t think much of it and didn’t want to accuse anyone but fast forward a few weeks, now a stolen vehicle under my name with a stolen drivers license. Who else would have had a copy of my drivers license within the past few weeks? Just a coincidence that the sales team had all of my information when I went to finance my vehicle? It would be wrong of me to accuse the dealership when I have absolutely no proof but hopefully this review will help prompt others to think twice about protecting their information. My advise: lock your credit after doing business with this dealership. They may not have had a security breach, but there is something called “dishonest people”.

I needed to contact the dealer after a day and half to check on the progress, my truck when in for a Oil change and a diagnosis of a check engine light. I got an email notifying me that miscommunication between the engine and transmission. The service manager mentioned he would speak with the transmission tech and report what they found when my truck had transmission work in 11/20 never received that call back. Very poor customer service.

After purchasing a cpo vehicle less than one month ago I brought it in for blower motor failure. After being quoted for $549 for a new blower, I declined service and I paid a $70 fee. I fixed the motor myself(rodent issue) and my AC now works better than it ever did. This was an issue with the truck when I purchased it. I dont believe I should have been responsible for the $549 and especially not the $70 that included a $6 shop material fee. What on earth could a shop have used when it had to take 7 bolts and screws out to drop a blower motor. Youve lost my business.
