Paul was so helpful with everything. He was extremely personable. The turn around time wasamazing, 1 week. Paul explained everything thoroughly. The hearing aids are so comfortable and the sound is perfect. He said if I have any problems give him a call and come in. My overall experience was wonderful. I would recommend Norwood Hearing Center to anyone that needs a hearing test or hearing aids.
They are the best! Dr. Barry is great, he fixed my hearing aids and now they are better than new.
My hearing consultation was excellent and the hearing aid fitting went great. Follow up questions were dealt with immediately. I highly recommend this the Norwood Hearing Center.
I took my mom today for our first visit, Paul was caring and compassionate! The very best service, thank you so much!
Ive worn hearing aids for 3 years and always went to Mass Eye & Ear. Due to recent changes in my insurance, I needed to go outside of ME&E, and boy am I grateful. Paul Barry was able to identify and fix a major issue I had with Oticon that ME&E wouldnt make happen for me. He goes the extra mile and then some! Professional, knowledgeable, and honest are just the first few words to describe him and his practice. I highly recommend Norwood Hearing Center.
I have needed a hearing aids for years, but fought the thought. At my families behest, four years ago I tried out some hearing aids from a firm in Boston. While my hearing improved I was uncomfortable with a constant noise and when I tried to get them adjusted the firm was difficult to deal with. I exercised my right to return them and moved on. I lived with the hearing loss another two years until a friend told me to consult Paul Barry at Norwood Hearing Center. My experience there what’s the complete opposite of my previous. Paul fitted me with hearing aids that matched my lifestyle and hearing loss, while explaining each and every thing he was doing along the path. I’ve had situations where adjustments were required, and they were done so in an expeditious manner when they could be, or Paul provided me with loaners programmed as my own while mine were being repaired. At no point did I feel pressured in any way and it was apparent to me that not only does Mr. Barry have a keen understanding of how to match you with the right solution, your satisfaction and experience with the hearing aids are his primary concern. Highly recommended.
Nice, courteous and polite.
My elderly mothers hearing aid receiver wire broke on Saturday. We were unable to fix it. She only has 10% hearing in one ear with the help of the hearing aid. Without it, she is completely deaf. We called the Norwood Hearing Center and spoke with a very welcoming Paul Barry, even though my mother did not purchase the hearing aid there. After explaining our predicament, he told us to come right over and he would be able to help us. He fixed the wire, put in a new battery and gave us a case to protect it. We were stunned by his great skill, kindness and professionalism. This was truly a world class service experience. I mentioned that we didnt live close and that we sincerely appreciated his help. He told me he felt good to be able to help someone out. I would give the Norwood Hearing Center 5 stars. The hearing aid worked better than ever. Paul is genuine and he cares about people. The Norwood Hearing Center is an asset to the Norwood community.
Paul Barry of Norwood Hearing Center was not only very friendly but extremely helpful and knowledgeable in fitting my hearing aids. He was able to adjust my hearing aids so they were comfortable and programmed correctly. Paul very simply explained the parts of the device and how to use the hearing aids most effectively. After so many years of discomfort, I am finally able to wear my hearing aids. I highly recommend this center.
My dad is visiting from France and broke his left hearing aid! I did not know what to do but searched on the internet for a company who could help us. I came across the website of Norwood Hearing Center. I read about their offerings and decided to call them on a Friday afternoon as we driving home from maine. I talked to a very kind and helpful gentleman who told me to stop by that afternoon if we could. We did not know what to expect and we received the best service! Paul looked at the hearing aid and told us he could fix it! He took his tools out and explained everything he was doing. My dad, who does not English, was amazed. We were both impressed by the level of service and professionalism. I would recommend Norwood Hearing Center without hesitation. Thank you Paul Barry!
Paul was very, very accommodating. He showed me how to use the hearing aids and was very patient in listening to my concerns. He provided me with a phone to make communicating easier and even came to install it and instruct me on its use. I couldnt be happier or recommend Norwood Hearing Center more heartily!
I have to compliment Paul Barry of Norwood Hearing Center. The visit to his office was pleasant and professional. I was having a problem with the volume control on my hearing aids. Paul tested the hearing aids and verified what the problem was. He then checked their serial number to determine if they were still under warranty. I was told when I purchased the hearing aids, at another hearing center, that there was a 2 year warranty on the hearing aids. Turns out that the hearing aid were under warranty for 3 years, and mine still had 6 months left. Paul sent the hearing aids back to Oticon for repair. Since the hearing aids were still in the warranty time frame, there was no charge. This saved me over $200 out of pocket cost. I will be going back to Norwood Hearing Center if my hearing aids need future repairs.Gerard Cole
I had just about given up on the hearing aids I got through my ent and his audiologist. Could not adjust properly and had to chase him at 3 different offices. Came to Paul Barry at the hearing center. Paul gave me a hearing test. Made sure aids were working properly and was able to go on line and adjust them properly with software. He is very attentive to your needs and hearing issues. Paul also has access to a vast array of brands an types of aids. My only regret is not starting with Paul and follow through the purchase of my hearing aids with him.
In a time where customer service, kindness & professionalism are nearly nonexistent, Paul Barry of Norwood Hearing renewed my faith in the goodness of humanity. Not to mention hes extremely knowledgeable!
Paul saved me -- and my familys vacation. Heres how. My left hearing aid suddenly stopped working. I have tinnitus. I have expensive combination devices - hearing aid and masking. Im very sensitive about my hearing and devices. So, you can imagine how upsetting it was when my hearing aid stopped working. I was a long way from home and my audiologist. It was Saturday and, as you know, most audiology offices arent open on the weekend. I called a few offices before I thankfully reached Paul. He listened to my problem. He then took time over the phone to troubleshoot. It didnt work. Sensing my upset, he made an appointment to see my wife and I after we picked up our daughter from Logan airport later that afternoon. From there, we drove to Pauls office in Norwood. He was waiting in the parking lot when we arrived. He greeted us with his big, warm smile and firm handshake. He kindly led us to his office, where, within minutes, he identified the problem (wax buildup) and fixed it promptly, giving me a range of supplies to last the remainder of our annual trip to Rockport from Toronto. Beyond being an expert at what he does, Paul is a wonderful, generous and warm human being. He helped a stranger in need, because, as my wife said: Paul, youre a helper. He is indeed. If you live in or near Norwood, I urge you to visit Paul for all your hearing aid needs. Im lucky I did. Youll be lucky, too. I will never forget his kindness and rare willingness to help a stranger. With immense gratitude, Andrew Mitrovica.
Paul Barry went beyond our expectations. I was worried about pressure to buy and a hard sell, we found nothing but kindness and a willing to help. So glad we found him!
Paul was very welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. He gave excellent A+ service and I highly recommend him to anyone with (any brand of) hearing aids and/or hearing loss.
An outstanding, exceptional, courteous, and honest practice in the heart of Norwood with ample free parking. But I highly recommend you visit, even if you don’t live in the area or in contiguous towns! Our visit to Norwood Hearing Center far surpasses our expectations in attentiveness and services provided. Paul Barry greeted us at the door. He has a great sense of subtle and light humor to ease the anxiety about testing and he put everyone at ease. His qualifcations are clearly framed on his office walls. The google search listed NHC as a hearing aid store. Well, that’s not entirely true. He offers hearing aids, but so much more; including educating us on how to install batteries correctly, how to avoid robo calls, and more! He has a child and family friendly waiting, examination and consultation area. He has flexible day, evening and weekend appointment times and home visits are available as well. Who does that now a days?! If the website says ‘closed’, call anyway. He always answers or calls you back in a timely manner. I took mom there because I saw an ad in the Norwood Senior Center newsletter, although she purchased her hearing aides elsewhere. She was having trouble hearing although she wore her hearing aids faithfully. He gave mom a hearing test, checked to make sure moms hearing aides were not broken, he cleaned them, changed the batteries and reprogrammed them to her present loss so she could hear better. No hard sell and actually the purchase of new ones didn’t even come up. He said the ones she has worked perfectly well, they just needed a fine tuning, not replacement. No talk of bells and whistles except the ones mom finally heard when leaving!NHC is close to Norwood Rec Dept so it’s easy and convenient to drop off and pick up kids and parents in one trip. Paul Barry isn’t constrained by time, doesn’t look at his watch, didn’t rush my mom, is patient and spent 1 ½ hours testing her hearing, and adjusting, cleaning, reprogramming her hearing aids and explaining her hearing loss. Mom said, “He showed real interest in me and in my hearing loss and he made me feel he wanted to do the best for me.” He made mom feel her needs were important and that her concerns were valid. It was raining when we were left and he walked the children and mom out while I went to bring the car in front. Later that afternoon I asked mom, “So what do you think? Can you hear better?” She answered, “You haven’t heard me ask ‘what?’ all afternoon have you?!”Living with hearing impairment and untreated loss is isolating and is as frustrating for family members who try to communicate as it is for people who are trying to hear. Its exhausting. Mom has trouble with the phone and is frustrated trying to figure out if the person calling is legitimate or a robo sales call. Paul gave her a free phone with free installation for the hard of hearing without need of an internet connection. It has a teleprompter which simultaneously translates the phone call into printed word. The one Paul showed us also can make the font larger so she can read the message without a magnifier or glasses. Now when she gets a spam call she doesnt have to call me and ask if I was the one calling her or not. There is often a silence after you pick up the phone on those calls and for a person who cant hear well, they think the silence is because they cant hear.I cannot speak more highly of Norwood Hearing Center and Paul Barry. He spent quality time with me on the telephone before I made an appointment for mom. Mom left hearing better then when she came in! He said to feel free to return in a few months if mom felt she needed another adjustment. It was a great day!
