Had an unexpected car problem on our way to take our daughter to college had to stop at Novato thankfully Jorge at JR auto repair was there ! Awesome mechanic and even greater human being . Hes there to help whatever the situation may be. We had gone shopping while we waited for car to be ready He went as far as lending us his car to pick up a bag we forgot at a bus stop. Great i always take my vehicles here for repairs

I have taken my trucks here for years. Best most honest mechanic i have found ever. He will always squeeze me in even last minute or if he is busy, and I tend to call out of the blue. His prices are also fair and he will explain exactly what he is doing!

I called him from the phone book (divine guidance) and told him my problem. My convertible top was stuck half open and would not close. I was visiting my mother and had to get home to Fresno that day, Saturday. He knew nothing about it but looked it up and after hit and miss but never giving up, he fixed it. The price was beyond reasonable. I was so happy I cried. I had talked to the dealership, lots of people and places. Saturday afternoon, no help but jr auto was. I will tell everyone I know and some I don!t know about Jr. And always visit him when in town. He was so nice and I was so distraught. My real life angel. I highly recommend him and can not say enough about him and his business.

This is a good shop and George is very fair and friendly. After driving my car across the USA, I pulled into Novato and found the ONLY shop open on Saturday in the area. George did a great job and my car was ready the next day. The price was reasonable.

George always takes care of my problems oftentimes finding inexpensive solutions. He does quality work. He is my only mechanic and has been for many years.

Took an explorer in because the temperature gauge wasn’t working. George called and said a sensor needed to be replaced and that I had a leak. He said it’d be 300. He fixed both very fast but my temperature gauge still wasn’t working. It was the same as when I brought it in and he said my thermostat was stuck open and that he’d fix it the next business day. He said that my gauge was working now but it was the same as before I took it in. I installed the thermostat myself and it’s working now. I just wish he hadn’t installed the sensor or at least hadn’t charged me for the labor, since it didn’t fix the problem. Nice guy and fast service, I just felt kind of ripped off. Called him today and he was super rude. Woulda taken him more business if he would have worked with me but definitely will go elsewhere next time I need mechanic work.

This guy is the REAL DEAL!Hell diagnose your car, solve it, and give you a FAIR PRICE!Hes been in the business for 30 YEARS!I was going to TOSCALITO for about 4 YEARS.I spent about $6,000 - $8,000 on repairs.I went for a SMOG test recently, did NOT PASS.My wife found JR Auto Repair and after a week (because he wanted to get the SOURCE of the problem and not just fix what you see) ALL of my problems were fixed!!!Ive had a few issues that kept bugging me since Ive been with Toscalito and Jorge fixed it all in the week hes had it. My Cold to Hot needle doesnt jitter any more, it actually works now. She runs better! I feel like I have a new car!Bottom line, go to Jorge, and save yourself headaches & nightmares!
