The tire center wouldnt replace my battery even though it was a pretty new battery because of some stupid rule even though theyre the only ones who carry this brand battery around here. It was purchased about a year and a half ago so it was hard for me to argue since I cant remember anything really except for going there for a battery. If you want to buy a battery that lasts about a year and a half with a weak warranty then go to Costco Tire Center in Novato.

I really don’t know why many people review this place as a good place to shop at. All I say was coincided, instigating workers who refuse to provide the service I requested and paid for. After hours of wait they started behaving in a trashy Sychiatric way that makes me feel that management is not doing their job. I can take the wait and the rest but their gagging up to instigate me as a group, their stamping like they had a severe medical disorder makes me very concern, and disturbed. I don’t know where the are the CEO of Costco who don’t mange and care for their company.

Very good Costco. This location is larger than our Everett WA location. I enjoyed seeing the different items and whats similar. I would shop here again on my next visit to this area.

I love this Costco. It is well stocked with daily essentials. The tech area is also very cool and the jewelry is beautiful. When I finished shopping Quentin helped me load my SUV. He was friendly and professional.

Great food, prices, and portions, and the ladies running the floor are great.

First time I’ve ever had a bad experience at this Costco. Employee at checkout was so incredibly rude when my Visa didn’t work, insisting and sternly repeating that I give him another card immediately or he was going to cancel the transaction of my cart full of items. Unbelievable!! Not many people in line and I just needed a few minutes to contact the visa co. This could have been handled easily with some patience. Management notified.

This Costco is well staffed and was packed with patrons. Well stocked aisles and loads of meat. They had sold almost all of the cakes by 10:45 am, and had to grab what was available.

Costco has great section of items that are not available other places. Their pricing models make many cool unique items affordable. FRIENDLY STAFF

Costco has raised their price so much it has stopped being competitive.

Serina and the other receipt checkers at the exit door are so rude, they’re always double triple checking your receipt and walking around you and the cart as if you’re stealing but only when you’re not white. giggling and chatting about with other customers until hispanic people get to the exit and they get serious and inspect your cart as if you’re hiding tvs under the chicken.

ABSOLUTELY WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER AT THIS LOCATION. CAME IN TO SIGNUP FOR MEMBERSHIP AND LADY AT THE DOOR WAS EXTREMELY RUDE AND WOULDN’T ALLOW ME TO GET TO THE MEMBERSHIP DESK TO EVEN SIGNUP. COSTCO JUST LOST A MEMBER AND MANY MORE AS IM GONNA TELL EVERYONE I KNOW TO AVOID THIS LOCATION ESPECIALLY!

If you love to do a monthly grocery shopping, Costco is the best place to go.

There were a ton of ppl there and the wait to check out was not fun! Its too bad we have to drive so far just to shop there. They had everything we wanted & then some!!

Its Costco, so to sum it all up, good deals on the basics. Dont fall in love with a particular item as it may not always be there for you, but they are good at introducing new items. Ive enjoyed the addition of paneer lately and love trying the different varieties of kombucha. Two things I wish for -- greater ease at getting help in store (find an item etc) and elimination of some of the more harmful foods (avoiding certain preservatives etc).

I come here to buy toilet paper but you know how it is.. You will never get out with what you had planned to buy i guarantee it but hey this place is awesome. I buy practically everything here including gas for my car.

I like shopping at Costco they have many many options and the prices are great I only knocked down the stars because the last two times I’ve gone the workers have been super rude. I even called it out and told the lady that’s name was Carolina that she doesn’t have to be rude and she just said “well I didn’t make you put it on the belt did I? “ and she proceeded to be super rude and unprofessional. The guy bagging our stuff was very nice.

Its a great place to shop because it carries almost everything you could possibly need and for a good price.

Tuesday seems like a less busy day to shop based on my recent trip. At 5:30 pm, there were only 1 person ahead of me at the one of the checkout lanes.I shop here for about once a month to get a several easy to cook frozen food & other staples like cheddar cheese, olive oil and mixed nuts.The store is quite busy most of the time, and it’s slightly smaller than other Costco stores In Bay Area. However I find the most of the items that I buy often here except Hoody’s Salted Roasted Peanuts in shells (5 lbs bags) which Novato Costco doesn’t carry.Also often I see customers double parking their huge trucks in front of the store to load their purchases instead getting help from staff who’d be happy to bring the cart to their parked vehicle or unload passengers right in front of the store entrance while blocking the a big portion of the passageway.Due to those “me-first” people who shops here, sometimes the entrance gets so haphazardly congested and unsafe to many customers entering & exiting the store with very little clearance.

Not a very good Costco. Cant rely on having things in stock, like Folgers or kidney beans. Smaller than other Costcos.

Carefully arranged all barcodes on items so during checkout they could be quickly scanned. Gave cashier Costco card. Cashier informed me store policy had changed and now, all items are to be put on belt (SO MORE HANDS CAN TOUCH EVERYTHING?) Sure, okay I said. But my internal voice, which only I can hear, was saying What?!P.S. my internal voice sounds exactly like Oprah.

This is one of the least crowded Costco Wholesale stores that I will go out of my way to go to. The people are nicer and the employees are helpful and the greatest. I dont feel like cattle going in there fight for left over scraps.

In most respects this is just like every other Costco, but it does have a few kinks that make it stand out.1. amazing wine section, with a plentiful selection of local (Napa and Sonoma) wineries at the usual Costco great prices.2. great fresh meat and fish - local crab (in season), USDA prime meat, etc3. Fantastic cheese section - local and international cheeses at great prices.Worth a visit

Costco warehouse is great but customer service is terrible. They never answer the phone when trying to see if back order products are available.

This is our go to Costco. Two more within reasonable driving range but this is our favorite. Typical Costco from what we have seen. Nothing here you cant get anywhere else. They do have gas on site.

Novato Costco used to be 10 ( I know there is no such a thing but it was that good) star however it is not as good as before but better than many other stores. I am talking about people and service otherwise I trust every porduct Costco sells and I buy it with closed eyes. First and most annoying thing is when you call, 30 seconds ( timed it) they waste your time with covid related issues. It could have been option not show it to my throat.

My go to store for home goods. Avoid the weekends and Friday evenings unless you like crowds. Spacious aisles usually very well stocked but like most things at Costco if you really like the item buy multiple because there’s no guarantee it’ll be there next time you visit.

I go to this costco all the time. Generally really busy on the weekends. But they have a good selection of organic and healthy food. although when you find something you like it might not be there next time..but i guess thats how costco works. Thats why it only gets 4 stars.

They treat their workers well, I see the same faces for decades, which also shows that the employees feel cared for. I recently asked for some computer help and the gentleman gave me the ups and downs of all the different available laptops in my price range, told me he could check other Costco‘s for the ones that they were out of and told me maybe I should come back the next day if I needed to think more about which one best suits my needs & that he would be there the following day if I had more questions.

Thos place was a zoo. Most good.selections but the people are nuts. They drive their carts.like they are alone in the store. Worse than the parking lot.

I wish there was a gas station too.

First and Foremost: the Staff at this branch of Costco is superb. From the greeters at the door...the friendly and patient check out clerk/teams are consistently quick, efficient, pleasant. Love the door /receipt checkers - always kind and pleasant.(Rumors are some customers are blatantly rude to these people.) Also, the Return and Membership staff are so kind and professional. Kudos! Today, Cynthia was The Best Check out ever!

Do not do buisness through the wireless kiosk in novato costco. Horrible customer service and they lie about their rebates. Costco is excellent but their wireless kiosk is a joke.

This is a good sized store, has more items than some of the others

Some of the employees are not wearing masks.Even a guy in the butcher area handling meat was NOT WEARING A MASKWhen I asked them about it, they got hostile.I called management and they said masks were mandatory.What other unhealthy and in sanitary things are they doing that we dont see?

This is one of the more civilized Costco’s you will find.No chaotic parking lots, no cash register crush (even less since they restrict the numbers inside for Covid), no bump and grind like you are working behind the counter at McDonalds.The stock is slightly more upscale than the others I have been to around the country, I guess that has to do with Marin County.No gas services, but one of the better tire shops in Marin.

Solid selection of food. Easy to navigate to from the freeway. I recommend switching between Novato and Rohnert Parks Costco for a really wide selection. Marin food, so of course its top notch. 👌

What you would expect in a big box store. Friendly efficient staff, easy to find slow times if you try. Highly recommend.

First Ive never been to that store...I was not acknowledged at the member desk, had to go a window to ask for help after about 2min as they were standing around. Asked if they had paper towels and employee rudely said nope, all out. Asked another employee where baby wipes were & just gotvtold where to go instead of taking me there. My store in Santa Rosa at least physically takes you to the spot in the isle & acknowledge you in line.

Great prices. Helpful employees. I just wish it was possible to get things in smaller quantities since its just my wife and I. Fresh organic foods that are not easily available elsewhere.

Today I went to take photo for my passport.The lady, (white, fat lady with a slight curly hair -didnt notice her name ) out there was very rude. She was completely unprofessional.No proper response to my questions. The photos taken were also not up to the level.Not at all up to the mark of regular Costco standards, neither in professionalism nor in quality.

Tonights Costco with all the things that you generally expect a Costco to have. Thanksgiving time I pick up my diestel turkey here and chanterelles for a delicious mushroom gravy. They also have a great selection of wines and craft beers in large formats, which you dont see in every Costco.

Helpful and generally pleasant staff at this location.As always with Costco, a bit frustrating they rotate out of favorite specialty items, so cant always get what you want but you get what you need. 🙂I miss the Semifreidis (sp?) Biscotti!

I love it! And now even more! They have self check out! So you can quickly beat the lane! The only thing, its that they take only credit and debit card in that machines! But is wonderful!

Well its costco, what can I say

No lines at this hour. Place was super clean and people who work there was friendly!

For the most part trip was pleasant. Less people than normal especially for a holiday weekend 5pm Friday Shopping excursion. However got to the cashiers and noticed the two packages of pepperoni were completely black with mold. Beware!! This is my 3 time purchasing said pepperoni 1st I got home with it and noticed the green/black fuzzy mold. Didnt return, 2nd purchase was fine and now the 3rd once again was bad. These packages are not in the refrigerated areas but in the shelves. So now not only the fruits and veggies being moldy now what do thought were well preserved items are bad. All due dates were several months away.

Orders always ready on time. Staff person, who seems is always there, is courteous and helpful. Its a digital mass production age. Quality image in quality image out. Garbage in ..... No custom color adjustments made by lab. Their auto correction usually helps. Good online services. Seems only glossy paper now on smaller print sizes.

I love Costco. The people are super kind and informative. During Corona virus SIP, they have been very proactive and great at taking precautions that ensure their customers safety.

I live in Sonoma. Today I shopped at the Costco in Novato. Terrific experience. Much better than the Vallejo Costco.

Though this Costco has been super diligent in the past with covid precautions, this visit was a free for all. Sooooo crowded, no limits on who can enter at one time, chaotic. I got in there and got out as soon as I could.

Always buy more than I planned on.

Always guaranteed to have products available as long as people stop hoarding. 🤔We found paper products one per Customer acct, follow the rules and well all survive Covid.

Standard big box Costco. Can get good deals in electronics, apparel, over the counter drugs and such (contact lens solution, etc). Good food selection. Interestingly, Costco is one of few grocery stores to sell Prime beef (usually only available to trade, such as upscale steak houses). Only problem is large size of most packaged items, like standard size for paper towels is 24-36 rolls. Although great for large families and restaurant business, this can cause storage problems for singles and smaller families.

We went at the hour reserved for seniors. The warehouse was immaculate. Everyone was required to wear a mask and there was plenty of room to follow the social distancing rules.We were able to get everything on our long list except nitrile gloves and disinfecting wipes. No lines. On the way out, the person who checked our receipt noticed an error that the checker had made. That resulted in a $3.50 refund that we had in cash in about 3 minutes.

Taylor in the optical department at Costco Novato, was awesome! She focused on my needs, adjusted my eye glasses perfectly and had a great sense of humor. Excellent customer service!

Ordered tires, had appointment for installation, was early, long line, finally got to a person. Gave him order #, he went on computer and said cancelled the day before - no notice to me. Hours out of my time totally wasted.
