Regular nuts and bolts you can find anywhere, and usually cheaper. BUT you will not find the specific factory replacement piece of hardware no place else except Downtown Hardware. And it is reasonably priced. PLUS the staff have knowledge based upon actual experience. From professional contractors to weekend DYIers, all are treated with respect.

This is the best hometown hardware store you will find. Everyone is more than willing to assist the customer in any way that they can. Everyone you talk to you knows what they are speaking about due to experience.If you need a hard to find part downtown hardware is your store. They dont have it they can most likely get it. If you need small engine parts or repair they can get the job done.

I went looking for fuel lines and filter for my chainsaw. The service department was fast and friendly and quickly found the parts I needed. I was in and out in less than ten minutes. The price was very reasonable, too.

Excellent independent hardware store with lots of choices (in the space allowed) and very helpful employees. Wish there were more like them, but hard to compete with big box retailers.

One of the last REAL hardware stores left. They carry crank out window cranks, and old style lock, plumbing, and electrical stuff, and real worthwhile name brand oil, chains, bars, blades, you know lawn equipment parts. They have copied warped broken keys for me before and CARED if it worked. They carry METRIC hardware, they have lamp oil and wicks, they sell REAL solutions to REAL problems! So they dont have microwaves or a whole aisle of imported chandeliers, they missed the thousands of gimmick quick fix products, and their staff is actually familiar with their products and their correct use. This is an actual hardware store, while places like Lowes are only imitation lumber yards.

Wanted to drop off lawn mower and rototiller for tune up after been sitting for a year and hard starting. Was directed to service deptartment. Apparently no one actually works the counter. Was told by 3 different people, he would be with me in a minute. Never saw the invisible clerk. Ended up leaving. Must be too busy for my business.
